As the rain pours upon the pavement and a figure dressed in a t shirt and long black pants tred upon the water ridden pavement with his black hair casscaing down upon his visage as the rain dampens it.
He peers at the stop light with his golden eye to see that it shone with a red tone of light stating that it's not yet the time to pass to the other side of the road side.
He awaits the change of the light patiently as he peers down at his phone seeing that today is the day that rent was due. He just sighs and places his old phone made by a company that defeated its rival company Apple the name of the company is Android.
The model he has was made back in 2024 before flying cars was implemented to everyday society at least in the urban areas not the rural one he was living in. This is the only place with a low enough rental price that he can afford while also supporting his bedridden parents both were in a car accident and since they were poor they could not afford the medical bills. This is why he did not attend college even if he got a full scholarship to a prized academy known for creating great individuals not that it helped him pay for the medical bills anyway.
A flash of green light alerted him as it shown upon his amber yellow eyes he then started moving to the other side of the road, but that's when he heard the sound of a truck horn go off beside him. He only had time to spin his head to the side to see what's about to ram into him.
What he say was a futuristic truck which no wheels hovering above the ground going straight at him. He then realized that the truck could not stop as this part of the rural area has not had a pavement change in a long time making futuristic cars and other automobiles feel as if driving on ice.
The he realized was the moment his body was flung to the other side of impact as the truck rammed into him probably breaking several ribs leading to bleeding out.
As his vision blured he could only think of one thing dam I didn't even pay of the medical debt. As his eyes closed he drifted of to another plane of existences in a galaxie far far away a shadowy figure amused by this act drifted his hand over to the phone adorned with jewels of all kind. The figure called another being whom was all too tired, for before this tired entity was a mountain upon mountains worth of paperwork with another folder appearing as the mc died.
"What do you want hades you know how busy I am after creating this show for the gods. Even if it pays well enough to make my self a god of riches." The shadowy figure just laughed and said. " well I know alright after all I have my share of your company 39 percent of it if I do remember."
The tired entity just sighed once more and said one last thing before ending the call. " well the 3rd series of Gods Will Reborn is happening I will be renaming it to virtual Pangea online, and also this project was finalized 12 hrs ago we will be reviving any players who have died 3 days before the release into the world of VPO."
As the call was ended the mc found himself face to face with a system notification from all around him, and as he awoke to the sound he looked around till he found a blue panel like page that has a notification sign displaying the words (virtual Pangea online) and underneath was the statement saying that this is the beta game called gods will a hyper realistic virtual reality game that almost everyone quit Less than a year from after its release.
The mc named Soren Samoron was one of the only to complete the beta version of the game reaching floor 50 before the game was shut down for 5 and a half years.
Seeing this message Soren could only smirk as he pondered to himself about how he got reincarnated into the world of his favorite vr game. As he pondered about the situation he was in a character creation menu popped up with a message on the side.
The attached message says (Thanks for playing the beta version of the game, so as a thank you we will be granting you a free revive before the games official launch upon the planet Earth) seeing this message he just decided to stop pondering and start recreating his character from the beta version of the game.
Soren looked around the blue creation panel as he saw how the animal type races called yokai were. He searched through the mammals section to search for the one race he always wanted to use but can't for it was only available as earlie access and needed a difficult quest to get.
Soren of course got the race, but it was not yet finished so it was just a human with animalistic features the animal it was based on was a Macaque.
A Macaque is a species of monkey, or yokai in this game. Now after choosing the race option another window showed up, and on it was the phrase (please pick a starting location of the race you have chosen).
Of course knowing about this already there is only one place to spawn at… wait what why is the immortal's palace not here! Ah well it was too broken to begin with. Soren thought this as he looked through the remaining options then upon his eyes landing on a certain spawn area.
Ah if I do remember correctly this is the mount HuaGuo where the great sage equal to heaven was born. This might be just what I need as a substitute for my previous option.
As Soren selected the option to spawn at the HuaGuo mountain his surrounding shifted into blue pixilated particles, and as his vision focused he noticed that he was out side with trees surrounding him. Outside his sight of vision was a sound of water slamming into rocks as it sounded exactly like a waterfall.
