"Leon did what he thought was right," Martin replied. "But I made a promise to protect Emilia, and I don't plan on breaking that promise now."
Another pause, and then the Mystery Agent spoke again, her voice softer this time. "Where will you take her?"
"I'll hide her in a countryside motel," Martin said, already making plans in his head. "Someplace quiet, far away from the city. She'll be safer there, at least for a little while, until her father can figure out what to do next."
"Smart move," the Mystery Agent said approvingly. "I'll inform the CEO that you're concluding the mission and keeping his daughter safe. But be careful, Martin. Whoever organized this attack isn't done yet. They'll come after her again, and they won't hesitate to come after you too."
Martin's lips pressed into a thin line. "I'll handle it. For now, Emilia's my priority. I'll make sure she's safe."
"Good luck," the Mystery Agent said. "And Martin? Watch your back."
