Delvin observed a thousand more small ones were flying and attacking in the sky with fire and brimstone.
On the outskirts of Plagatoscal city under a tall building stood a young girl crying, confused, disturbed, she held her head closing her two ears, her eyes closed from the pandemonium occurring, when a big fireball was coming at her. Delvin could see all this because his eyesight had been enhanced compared to an ordinary human being, which increased from 0.5 to 2.5. That meant he could see far ahead, more than five thousand miles and through objects. The state of the child struck Delvin's heart, who, without thinking, reacted by instincts making him run at full speed with a sudden strong rush of whooping wind, scooped the girl about twenty feet away from the fireball which crashed and set the entire building on fire. Delvin protected the child from further impact by covering her with his body.
Interesting, this scene was captured by the cameras of an old veteran, Fabrice Targan, 'Oh, my God! What is that thing?' Fabrice Targan mumbled in amazement while sitting inside his secure safe vault underground, his eyes focused on his CCTV analog screen, he saw the most spectacular, incredible scene. He went ahead to replay the scene, but still couldn't recognize the person, until he replayed the caption the third time and now in slow motion.
What? Delvin? Fabrice Targan muttered in surprise and, not believing the scene right in front of him, paused the video on Delvin's face, then played the scene to the end, maintaining the slow motion. My goodness, it's actually him. What exactly are you? In all my life, I have never seen anything like this before. No normal human being can run like that, that is at the speed of light. 'Alright, if you survive this, Delvin, we will have a serious chat. Could it be he had already succeeded in making the suit he was planning to invent at ZamCorp Base One? But what I saw was just his real body. Fabrice Targan, wrapped himself with a pile of questions.
He held his chin with his right hand as if he had fallen in deep thought. Fabrice Targan had a safe vault, identical to the one ZamCorp Base One had, when the sky had been painted with red fireballs. Fabrice Targan immediately went and hid. He believed a hundred percent that with the material it was made of, there was no way the meteorite would be able to destroy it. Maybe pushed down further in the earth. Just like most war veterans, they are security conscious and take precautions in unforeseen circumstances. The only person he was worried about was Delvin, but the way things turned out to be, he wasn't sure if that was necessary at all. It does not mean he is a coward or doesn't care, after witnessing the madness out there, those ruthless, merciless, crazy killers, who would dare jump into that pandemonium. He had fought many wars and fights, but not to this kind of degree. This was hell on earth, the land was being purged of its moral sins. To make the matter worse, he was just one man. So far, he has not seen the army intervene.
The move Delvin made was not just noticed by Fabrice Targan, but by the enemy too. The creature, which looked grayish, had a long tail, budging muscles, five times huger than Delvin, and it was very tall, set its green sparkling eyes on Delvin and the child, it fired its gun to consume Delvin with the child. However, Delvin dodged with a flashing step, it started firing with no intention of stopping following the flight of Delvin.
Delvin kept dodging continuously, creating a zigzag spiral until the creature ran out of its fire ammunition. When Delvin had achieved his intended purpose, he lay down the child who had stopped crying, then faced the merciless creature head to head. Delvin right away sprinted at his fastest rate possible, for speed was one of his great strength, and punched the ugliest creature on its chest. The creature did not budge, it only moved two steps backward. By the way, Delvin had used almost eighty percent of his strength.
'What?! Oh, my gush! This thing is so damn strong.' Delvin gasped, not believing the sight in front of him, he thought his strongest punch was going to crash this titan, or at least make it fall. How disappointing? Delvin went for a phase two plan. He ran so fast, circling the grayish titan, in the process creating a tornado around the damned creature, it was watching him waiting for what he was going to do next, but his speed was too fast such that what was left was an after image, a blur, and then leaped up in the sky and landed his two elbows on the head of the creature which automatically dropped dead on the ground. This site attracted the attention of the other creatures, who abandoned what they were doing and headed toward Delvin. In a matter of seconds, Delvin was surrounded by twenty aliens. Right away Delvin knew that things were not fair nor safe for him.
Skylark! Delvin called out, the system was activated. Delvin prepared himself in case he was unable to fight his way out. He could simply fly away, or maybe the system could help him out. What he didn't understand was that the aliens just stood there without attacking him, it looked like they were waiting for a command.
At that moment of serenity for Delvin, military tankers appeared which began to fire at the titans. The military tankers came from the east and that was where the camp of super soldiers were positioned just about two hundred miles from the Lusaka township. The glorious entrance of the army distracted the thirsty enemy which were about to step on an ant which had just begun causing trouble for them. As the titans began to defend themselves and attack back at the tankers. Delvin sneaked, picked up the child and ran as fast as he could while dodging the other fire drops that were still raining down from the sky.
