Chapter 30 - Healing By Steaming

The moment the downloads ended, Skylark gave a suggestion to Delvin, 'The best formula for your colleague's treatment is to use Healing by Steaming.'

Straight away, the information on that subject surfaced onto Delvin's mind. He precisely knew what he was going to do next, all the steps clearly tabulated in detail, its simplicity ably engraved into him like he had learned it for seven years, while it just took him a few minutes, for the knowledge to be streamed down into his brain.

Thank you, Skylark.

'There is no need for you to thank me, I am simply doing my duty and in which I am delighted.' Replied Skylark the system gently.

Delvin walked back into Grandma Beatrice's bedroom, right close to George, his mood bright and light, full of cheerfulness, who observed Delvin for just a couple of seconds, without wrapping up his mind on what created the change, then twisted his head back at Grandma Beatrice, the entire room still, commanding total silence such that you could hear people's breaths as they breathed the air in and out, heart's pounding in a certain pattern, quite a serene atmosphere.

'George, I need you to do exactly what I am going to instruct you and no questions asked. Remember you did promise to follow me and do my bidding.' Delvin directed George, his voice being the only sound echoing in the thin air.

George's mood was low, he looked very lost, yet he paid full attention to the incoming instructions from Delvin's mouth. He gave a nod of his head to indicate, I am still standing by my absolute words, go on, as Delvin continued, 'Go and boil one liter of water, and bring it to me.'

George went on and did as told. Ten minutes later, boiled water was brought in front of Delvin in an electrical kettle, steam clearly visible coming out from the upper narrow outlet.

'I need a duvet blanket, a basin, then you and Brenda can vacate this room. I must be alone, and please don't disturb me, or you might interrupt the process of healing Grandma Beatrice. I will bring you back in when the healing process is complete.' Delvin instructed George.

This gave George an idea what Delvin intended to do. He was obviously tempted to ask, but he was given a condition at the beginning; he had to respect that. After all, at the end of it, he needed to abide by his words. On top of that, he was hopeless, so anything that could help Grandma Beatrice he was willing to give it a try. He organized a duvet and basin and put them next to Delvin on the bed. He walked close to Brenda, grabbing her hand with his long rough-fingered palm, pulling her to go with him to the sitting room.

'I am not leaving grandma alone!' Brenda protested.

'Sister, I am begging you to trust me,' George calmly insisted.

When Brenda saw the determination of her elder brother, she reluctantly softened her heart, mind and body, though she did not want to leave Grandma Beatrice's bedside, and gave into her brother's request and walked beside him to the living room.

After being left alone, Delvin climbed on the bed and sat folding his legs while crossing them over each other, near Grandma Beatrice's head, covered himself in the duvet together with Grandma Beatrice. Poured boiled water into a plastic basin. He stuck his thumb on the forehead of Grandma Beatrice. There was steam coming from the boiled water which filled the entire space inside the duvet. Delvin's body heated up, he was sweating profusely, his thumb began to grow red, he could feel energy leave his body and fuse with grandma Beatrice. This must be his life essence. As energy left his body, he grew weaker and weaker. When fifteen minutes had elapsed, he passed out, next to Grandma Beatrice.

On a beautiful estate in the woodland residential premises, Jasmine is in her bedroom resting on her bed when her phone on top of the wardrobe starts vibrating, then a cool love song follows next. This was a special song saved just for her sweet mother. She knew what this call meant honestly speaking, she quickly rushed to grab her phone, with heavy breathing, pressed on the answering option, and put the phone to her beautiful right ear, 'Hello mom!'

'Yes sweetheart, how are you!' Rosemary said from the other side. A sweet, soft, lavish voice came out.

Rosemary Parker and James Parker had been married for twenty-five years, and she became pregnant with Jasmine after five years of their marriage. Rosemary Parker lives in a far distant land, the reason being that Rosemary Parker works for ZamCorp Base Two on another continent previously known in the twenty-first century as North America. She only came to visit after two years.

Jasmine couldn't call her because she is a very busy woman, so she had to wait for her call. It took six months for Jasmine just to receive this call. Imagine how she feels now.

Jasmine was breathing fast like she had been running because of extreme happiness and joy.

'I am well mom, how are you?'

There was solemn silence, panting could be heard on the phone's speaker at Rosemary Parker's side. The excitement helped Rosemary notice the state Jasmine was in. She had missed Jasmine very much, therefore, she treasured this moment the most. Rosemary Parker is a military woman, a scientist and doctor, and has been able to disguise her emotions quite well, but in the presence of Jasmine? She feels dissected, open like a book and vulnerable.

'I am fine sweet child, I miss you beyond your scope of imagination. How is your father?' Rosemary Parker asked incredulously.

Jasmine needed to give an accurate but not alarming message to her mother. She took her time, first breathing in and then out, 'He is fine on the outside, but I fear he is not that well. He behaves like you sometimes.' Jasmine gave her feedback.

Rosemary Parker literally knew what those words meant. Jasmine proceeded, 'You should find time to talk to him, he is your husband. He may open up to you. He still thinks I am a child!'

Jasmine added sad emotions to her words. Her face darkened, she was a grown up, and did not like to be despised or be considered young.

Rosemary laughed, 'Jasmine, you think and worry too much. Anyway, I will find time to speak to him. Now this is your moment. How is your life? Any interesting news?'
