At this moment, while the battle raged inside the cave between Elsa and the assassin, outside the cave, it was already night.
And while it happened, as Paul watched all of it transpire helplessly, it triggered a storm of intense emotions inside him.
'Not again!' He growled in his mind.
'I watched dad die, I watched mom die, I'm tired of just watching them die! I won't, not anymore!'
Since becoming an awakened warrior, despite getting power, Paul was going through a circle of loss. From his mother, to his sister, he kept on losing things that were dear to him and he was tired of it.
He was fed up of it, the feeling of powerlessness.
This was why at this moment; he had an intense reaction to Elsa's beating. And this intense emotional reaction was what triggered something inside of him.
At this moment, while staring at her as she was beaten, lost in the rage of his emotions, Paul suddenly sensed something approach him.
