"Master!" Sharia drawled outside Flynn's room. "It's already evening. Have you made your decision yet?"
Inside, Flynn flinched, groaning as he clenched his fists. He had been trying to take a nap, but her voice made that impossible.
"The sun isn't even down yet!" he snapped.
"But it's about to set, which means it's already eveni—"
"GO AWAY!"
A heavy silence followed before Flynn let out a sigh, collapsing back onto his bed, eyes fixed on the ceiling. His mind was in turmoil.
One part of him was grateful that his servants adored him, and their affection for him had long since surpassed the boundaries of a mere master-servant relationship. He had to admit, he loved them too—each of them, equally. It was a love that transcended the ordinary, one that made his heart pound just thinking about it.
But the other part of him was terrified.
