"Master, I want to have fun with everyone else too." the red dragon said to Flynn through telepathy.
"Wait… no. You're staying in the cave. We can't have you destroying the village we're working so hard to build, now, can we?"
"But—"
"No buts. I've been through a lot today. I need to rest, so don't stress me."
The dragon fell silent and let Flynn get into bed.
Just as he was about to doze off, it interrupted. "Let's form a contract, Master."
"Agh, come on!" Flynn groaned, hitting his head against his pillow. "Just let me sleep, please."
"You tamed me, but we never formed a contract. Once we do, as master and servant, I'd be able to enjoy life with everyone else."
Flynn frowned. "What?"
"I'm a descendant of the dragonkin—a rare species of dragons capable of shifting into human forms. But to do that, I believe a contract must be made."
"Have you ever made this contract before?" Flynn asked curiously.
