With a loud howl, Athena lapped toward Zander and attempted to slap him with her claws, but he had grown faster, thanks to his transformation. "You're slow!." He snarled, appearing behind Athena. She turned around, and tried to slap him once more, but he swung his whip at her, the snake head at its tip crackling with black flames. The creature opened its mouth wide and lunged to bite Athena on the shoulder, but her skin was impervious. However, its dark flames were a different story. They scorched her, and for some inexplicable reason, the fire wouldn't extinguish. When Flynn noticed this, he braced himself and attempted to assist Athena in her fight against Zander. Unfortunately, in her beast mode, everyone was an enemy, including him. She struck him with the back of her hand, and sent him staggering backward.
"Damn it… why am I so weak?" Flynn cursed, watching helplessly as dark flames burnt Athena.
