In every human body, there are three major Core fields of energy: the upper, middle, and lower Core. Magus teachings describe these three Cores as the only fertile lands within the body, with the rest regarded as barren. Yet many who cultivate internal energy fail to fully grasp this concept, often treating the three Core as a single entity, which is quite a misconception.
The lower core is the center for cultivating essence, the middle Core nurtures Aura, and the upper Core houses the spirit. The upper Core lies slightly above the area known as the Ancestral Aperture, called the Mud Pill Palace. One's mental strength, or spirit, is stored in this upper Core, but typically, only those who reach a profound level in Aura cultivation can refine their spirit.
