Chereads / Mr. Kent And ME [BL] / Chapter 170 - The Final Battle (Part 6)

Chapter 170 - The Final Battle (Part 6)

The Injustice Superman's power far exceeded that of his counterpart; having endured war, despair, pain, and the loss of everything, he had absorbed the light of millions of yellow suns.

He could easily defeat Clark Kent with the combat skills honed in countless bloody battles.

He landed a punch on Clark Kent's face, his Kryptonian blue eyes burning with fury and a hint of barely concealed jealousy—

"Is this all you've got, Clark Kent? What can you use to compare with me? How will you defeat me? Batman—what does Batman have to consider you a means to triumph over me?"

Kal-El lifted his gaze to the nearby Fenrir armor.

In that moment, he was pulled into the Yin Space by Kong Kenan.

The Asian youth attacked Superman like a sudden storm, using all his training and the yin-yang powers bestowed upon him by his master.

The swirling forces of heaven and earth transformed into a pure, white void, pulling Superman into an immaculate space.

"I won't let you hurt him again," Kong Kenan declared, fists clenched.

Superman raised his eyes to look at him.

This tyrant, who had ruled the Earth for five long years, effortlessly shattered the fusion of yin and yang.

"You will never defeat me," Superman growled as he pressed Kong Kenan down into the ground, his voice a low hiss directed at his power replica.

The Yin Space began to fracture rapidly, and just as it seemed Kong Kenan was about to be overwhelmed, the eighth-generation Spider-Man armor, modified by Iron Man, shot out powerful webs, covering Superman's eyes and giving Kong Kenan a brief respite.

He swiftly turned around and escaped Superman's pursuit.

Superman yanked the webs away from his eyes.

"Peter Parker."

He glared at the agile Iron Spider with a dark intensity.

The webs shot toward him again!

But it was futile.

Superman evaded the webbing in milliseconds, stepping onto the slow-moving current of time.

In the blink of an eye, he reached out and grasped the Iron Spider's neck.

In the face of absolute speed and power, all resistance is futile!

In an instant, Spider-Man's neck was snapped by Superman, his body flung aside.

Behind him, the charging Hulk suffered a similar fate.

The red heat vision sliced through the surface of Hulk's skin, enraging the green giant.

With a roar, Hulk's massive fists swung toward Superman—

But Superman was never the fool to just stand there and take the hit!

He dodged Hulk's attack and flew straight toward his target: the Fenrir armor.

His fists pounded down, blow after blow, driving the Fenrir armor deep into the ground.

"Where is he?!" Superman roared in frustration.

Iron Man soon arrived, two massive armored arms clamping down on Kal-El's shoulders, attempting to drag him away from the Fenrir armor's line of fire—

But it was useless!

Even though their suits were equipped with the most advanced technology on the planet, even though their artificial neural systems could now rival human cognitive processes—

In the face of absolute strength and speed, nothing mattered!

Superman ripped Iron Man's anti-Superman armor off with ease, sending the gold and red suit careening through the air, spinning several times before its AI managed to regain balance.

"Jarvis," Tony Stark, bleeding from his mouth and convulsing slightly, commanded his AI system, "initiate the destruction protocol—"

"No, sir, that will destroy the entire suit!"

"Does it even matter anymore?!" Tony Stark yelled.

He looked toward Superman, directing his AI combat system to channel every bit of power the anti-Superman suit had left, launching a final missile, charged with all the energy the armor could muster, straight at Superman—

The missile shot out like a burst of water, striking Superman with tremendous force, exploding into a ball of fire on his steel body.

Superman was sent crashing to the ground, his once perfectly combed hair now disheveled, a single curl falling over his forehead.

His body embedded into the earth, and his white cape crumpled like a rag.

But as the dust settled, on the endless expanse of sand-colored land, Superman once again rose, his white cape billowing behind him.

The missile had no effect.

The god of this world had descended upon the skies of Cameroon.

He looked at them all.

In that moment, the wrath of the gods unleashed its full, thunderous might!

With lightning speed, Superman struck back at Batman.

Batman took the hit, grunting inside the Fenrir armor as nearly all the exoskeletal mechanisms shattered on impact.

This ultimate armor—costing a fortune to create—was embedded with red solar energy simulators.

Blood rising in his throat, Batman, ignoring the metallic taste, used his still-functioning fingers to pull the lever.

From the armor's shoulder, brilliant red solar rays shot toward Superman.

The red solar radiation hit Superman like a massive wave crashing down, sending him flying back.

His body traced a parabola in the sky, thrown back by the force.

But the red solar energy dissipated quickly, and just before hitting the ground, Superman clenched his fists again.

Hovering for a moment just above the surface, Superman stopped mid-fall, then rocketed back up in an instant, launching himself like a missile straight at Batman!

The god among men, just as he had once torn apart Captain America's shield, ripped through the Fenrir armor with his bare hands.

He stomped heavily on the armor and tore off the seatbelt from the cockpit, lifting the gravely injured Batman into the air.

They stared into each other's eyes, both pairs of blue eyes burning with flames fueled by their very lives.

This was their first face-to-face encounter in two years since Superman had issued the global arrest warrant for Batman.

"Bruce," Superman said, looking at Batman, "I really don't understand. Why do you have to resist me? Why can't we build a new world together? Why won't you join me in protecting this Earth?"

"Hah."

Batman let out a cold laugh amid the wreckage of the battlefield.

With that laugh, the blood he had swallowed rose again, slowly seeping from the corner of his mouth in a dark red stain.
