However, he crashed into the canopy of a cross tree and fell into the leaves.
…Is he okay?
Whitney pressed the aircraft down again and then saw several metallic spider limbs glimmering among the branches.
—It seems like he landed successfully.
Whitney thought.
But he still felt something was off, unable to pinpoint the exact issue, so he continued with his task, maneuvering the aircraft upward.
Meanwhile, beneath the dense, step-like layer of moss on the rainforest trees, the "Spider-Man" who had nearly been skewered by branches was clutching his left arm.
With the assistance of eight metal spider limbs on his back, he struggled to jump from the tree branches to the ground.
Breathing heavily, "Spider-Man" leaned against the tree trunk, pressing the switch on the metal suit.
The helmet automatically retracted, revealing a head of black hair.
—Soren looked up at the ceiling, obscured by dense layers of evergreen leaves and vines, and said into the metal suit's communicator, "Peter, your suit is really tight."
—Peter Parker, who was marching with Steve toward the rear of Shell Prison, heard the voice from the suit's internal system and quickly glanced at Steve.
Fortunately, the external environment couldn't hear the sounds within the suit.
Steve was still focused on leading the team forward and didn't notice Peter.
So, Peter defended himself quietly within the suit, "That's my—my uniform from two years ago… I even helped you remove the baby monitor Tony had installed."
Soren chuckled silently on the other end.
After resting for less than a minute, he released his grip on his injured left arm and re-donned his suit.
The left arm seemed to have some fractures; it would soon swell up, making it even more difficult to wear the suit.
He needed to make the most of every minute now.
The tactical goggles began displaying a 3D map of Shell Prison beneath the island.
Soren took a good look at the 3D map and then asked Peter, "Is the Captain planning to break through from the rear of Shell Prison?"
"Yes, Steve and I will first infiltrate the interior of Shell Prison and make sure everything is fine before letting the rest of the team in," Peter responded, looking down.
"They'll likely deploy several patrols around the third passage from the rear. You should either avoid that area or be very careful when passing through."
"How do you know?"
Soren replied mysteriously, "I'm not telling you."
—On the 3D map, directly above the third passage, there was a small, narrow room about two meters deep.
Most people would likely think of it as a storage room, but after reviewing the entire structure of Shell Prison, Soren found that there were no checkpoints near the octagonal cell where Kong Kenan was held.
Thanks to Clark's cautious nature, Soren did not believe that Clark would fail to arrange for guards to inspect those delivering meals to Kong Kenan.
A prison, for the most part, remains completely sealed off, with supplies being the only communication channel with the outside world.
The food prepared and delivered daily to the inmates is the most likely point of vulnerability within the prison.
The Regime army would certainly set up checkpoints somewhere; if not near that cell, then definitely elsewhere.
—The most suitable place in the entire prison for conducting inspections would be that narrow little room.
Such small rooms are ideal for searches because they only allow two people inside.
If an inspected individual is found to be suspicious, they will have no escape route.
He had once set up similar places on his own warship.
Naturally, patrols would be more heavily reinforced near such locations.
Metal spider arms extended from his back, and using them, he swiftly moved from the jungle towards the coastline.
Upon reaching the cliff edge about ten meters above the sea, he leapt from the cliff into the ocean.
...
Inside Shell Prison.
This octagonal cell differed from all other cells in Shell Prison.
It was two stories high, with eight sealed sides, and only a very small transparent window at the top to observe the conditions at the bottom of the cell.
At the bottom of the cell, the eight pure white walls encircle the prisoner like the eight directions of a Bagua diagram, firmly confining them.
—This cell was custom-built specifically for him, designed from its inception to counter his abilities.
The black-haired youth sat cross-legged in the center of the cell, eyes closed in contemplation.
Although the special rays in this cell had stripped him of all his powers, leaving him with no means of resistance or escape, Kong Kenan was not afraid of being imprisoned here for life.
…Because he knew someone would come to rescue him.
The black-haired youth opened his eyes, his phoenix-like gaze fixed on the pristine white walls.
He stood up, approached the wall, and placed his palm against it, breathing calmly as he silently felt the faint, imperceptible vibrations coming from the wall.
The person coming to rescue him had arrived.
These tiny vibrations traveled from the bricks behind the wall, connecting each brick to every floor of Shell Prison, to every door, every step-trodden floor, and every pipe carrying water—
Just as Steve and Peter successfully entered the interior of Shell Prison.
They had subdued the ten or so guards along the way with relative ease.
These Regime army soldiers were originally ordinary people, and with their abilities, dealing with a few individuals who had received only two or three years of military training was effortless.
Steve bypassed a corridor, lowered his voice, and communicated through the wireless device to the waiting team outside the prison: "Confirm safety. Team A, proceed with the final sweep of the prison."
Peter walked alongside Steve, leaning against the wall and slowly advancing, carefully checking for any signs of ruling army soldiers.
He used his web-shooters to shoot out webs, destroying the surveillance cameras along the way.
After confirming that there were no figures in the upward-facing corridor they were about to pass through, Peter silently climbed up the wall.
