Many years ago, that deceitful Asgardian false god had enraged him to the point where he almost smashed the entire Luthor mansion.
It wasn't until later that Lex Luthor realized how this god of mischief had played both sides, not only luring Zod's invading army to Earth but also deceiving him into trusting and participating in his schemes.
The god of mischief cared nothing for Earth, nor for Superman.
All his sweet talk was merely a means to obtain the Mother Box from Earth to satisfy his own selfish desires.
— He had no doubt nearly succeeded.
The Mother Box was almost in his hands.
If not for that unexpected turn of events, Earth might have already become a Kryptonian colony under Zod's rule.
This fact made Luthor furious.
And it only intensified his hatred for Superman.
Now, at last, he had found the opportunity to utterly destroy the nemesis he had long viewed as a thorn in his side.
Lex Luthor stood at ease with his arms folded, watching as Luis Lane took a sip of hot tea from her cup and the muscles on her face twitching slightly.
— Behind the painting of Christ's crucifixion, a tall, slender figure in a purple suit appeared, dancing nonchalantly.
Like a tap dancer with countless fans in the audience, he stretched out his arms, his bright red lips curving into a grin that reached the corners of his mouth.
His face that was coated in white powder, creased into layers of wrinkles.
On that ghastly pale face, an expression of exhilaration and madness was visible.
He covered Luis Lane's nose with a lovely checkered handkerchief, tearing open his blood-red lips to reveal two rows of grotesque yellow teeth.
"Luis Lane... come dance with me! Come on!"
...
More than 40 hours later.
The monster that was released from the barrier between the Prime Universe and the Dark Multiverse in space, plummeted through the atmosphere and crashed into the center of Metropolis.
The ultimate killing machine from Krypton had arrived on Earth.
In the words of that failed Kryptonian scientist, it was called Doomsday.
Its deformed and grotesque appearance seemed like a blasphemy against creation itself.
Its body was covered in jagged, black exoskeletons, with bone spurs protruding from its arms, back, and skull.
It let out an ear-piercing roar, its mouth filled with crooked, broken teeth, and saliva dripped from its jaws, burning the ground where it landed.
The creature smashed a massive crater into Tomorrow Square, at the heart of Metropolis, and crawled out, lumbering toward the most densely populated intersection.
It was enormous, a monster born from countless deaths, and it would unleash an unending massacre here.
At the edge of Tomorrow Square, an overturned food cart had trapped a little girl still wearing her backpack.
The pain in her leg made her collapse on the ground, crying.
Her cries, however, caught the attention of the terrifying creature, which began walking toward her, its every step making the earth tremble.
"Thud. Thud. Thud..."
It was mere steps away.
Its clawed hands that was covered in bone spikes, stretched wide, reaching for the top of the girl's head—
Then, the Man of Tomorrow from Metropolis, like a flash of red and blue lightning, flew out and struck Doomsday's jaw with a single punch!
Doomsday was sent flying by the punch, its massive body hurtling backward, landing once again in the deep crater, creating another several-meter-wide indentation in the ground.
Clark soared into the sky, looking down at the creature that was slowly rising from the crater below, his mind rapidly analyzing the knowledge of Krypton stored within him, identifying everything about the monster.
— Doomsday possessed immense strength and regenerative abilities; it was designed to be the ultimate weapon against Kryptonians.
When it suffers fatal damage and dies, it will resurrect, regrowing the same defenses that can overcome the lethal vulnerability that killed it.
At this moment, black bat-like wings also appeared, flying in from a distance.
He looked up at the sky, hearing, from even farther away, the approaching sounds of their comrades, those they had fought alongside with him countless times—Diana, Arthur, Barry, Hal, Victor... all rushing in from all directions.
... This would be a brutal battle.
Clark lowered his head and charged straight toward Doomsday!
Doomsday roared furiously, meeting Superman's attack head-on, using a strength no less than Superman's to viciously hurl him toward the enormous Superman statue in the square.
Clark crashed into the statue, shattering it into pieces, the arm that was holding the globe disintegrating into dust.
Meanwhile, the Batwing streaked in, firing micro air-to-surface missiles from both wings, aimed at Doomsday.
The missiles rained down like a storm, colliding with Doomsday's body in a series of explosive flashes.
Doomsday was forced to stagger backward from the blasts but remained undeterred in its assault.
With a mighty leap, it soared into the air, attempting to attack the Batwing!
The Batwing deftly dodged Doomsday's outstretched claw, while Clark, having pulled himself from the statue's rubble, flew into the air in a flash and intercepted Doomsday with another powerful punch.
Once again, he landed a solid blow, but as Doomsday fell, it grabbed hold of his cape, yanking him down, and with its spiked claws, it seized Clark's body, slamming him into the crater.
The creature's bone-covered claws clenched into fists, and it began hammering Superman's face over and over with lightning-fast punches.
"Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!"
The Man of Steel was pummeled by this monster from the same planet, and in an instant, Clark's face was covered with cuts and gashes.
The blood began to streaming down from his face.
His brow was split open and blood pouring freely, yet he showed no fear.
His blue eyes locked onto Doomsday's terrifying monstrous face, and within moments, his gaze rapidly turned crimson!
Searing heat beams, reaching up to 6000 degrees Celsius, shot from his eyes, distorting the air like rapidly spinning blades, slicing through Doomsday's body.
Doomsday let out a thunderous roar as its body was instantly cleaved in two by the heat vision.
