Hell's Kitchen, Pier 36.

Under the dim moonlight, two red figures moved swiftly among the densely packed containers. Matt Murdock and Erica Hart were on a mission, their target: Hammerhead, the notorious boss of the Maggia gang. Finding him would unravel the gang's operations.

Despite not having seen each other for a while, Matt and Erica worked together seamlessly, their past teamwork creating a natural synergy. They navigated through the container gaps, slipping through shadows, and methodically taking out the guards one by one.

"This is boring. Is this how the Maggia Gang defends?" Erica exclaimed, leaping from a container and incapacitating four men playing cards in under two seconds.

She could have killed them faster, but Matt was right behind her, and she knew he wouldn't condone killing. Before confronting Hammerhead, Erica didn't want to clash with Matt.

"Indeed, this kind of defense is too easy," Matt agreed.

The Maggia Gang had numerous guards patrolling the dock, enough to deter ordinary people. But for Matt and Erica, these scattered forces posed no threat.

"It went so smoothly that it made me a little nervous," Matt admitted.

Hammerhead must have anticipated threats, especially in Hell's Kitchen. The smoother the infiltration, the more apprehensive Matt became.

"Erica," Matt whispered, his voice tense. "Be careful. Something's off."

"Is there?" Erica asked, her thick skin oblivious to the tension. She had hoped for a significant haul to report to Kingpin but found only small fry at the dock.

Without Matt's presence, she could have killed a few to relieve boredom, but she refrained to avoid a fight with him.

"It's just so boring," Erica muttered in disgust.

"I..." Matt began, but a sudden noise interrupted him.

A giant thud echoed through the dock.

"What happened?" Matt and Erica tensed, rushing towards the sound.

"What is that?" Erica's eyes widened as a massive creature emerged.

"It looks like a spider, but why is it so big?" Erica gasped.

Matt was equally shocked. In his radar senses, the spider monster was enormous, its form resembling a monkey's head.

"It looks more like a monkey than a spider to me!" Erica pulled out an iron ruler, understanding Matt's earlier apprehension. The Maggia Gang had indeed created something monstrous.

"Whether it's a monkey or a spider, we can't let it escape!" Matt's face darkened. This abomination was not naturally born.

Was it a spliced monster like the previous zombies? But could something this massive be considered a zombie?

Compared to this thing, those zombies were nothing. Hammerhead was truly deranged.

Matt felt a chill. Erica's expression mirrored his solemnity.

Facing an unimaginable monster, they felt tremendous pressure.

...

Moriah had exchanged the zombie body and shadow of Spider Monkey Talala, bringing it to life to guard Pier 36 and manage dealings with Francis. Talala respected Lord Moriah deeply, disdaining Hammerhead and Francis's claims of partnership with him.

Talala, in this world for nearly half a month, was bored guarding the dock. Finally, encountering two "new toys," it felt excitement.

...

"Monkey monkey monkey monkey~" The monster laughed, its huge eyes fixed on Matt and Erica, massive stitched arms waving.

"The much-rumored spider monkey is me, Captain Talala!"

"What the hell?" Erica was stunned, gripping her iron ruler. "Why can this monster talk?"

The creature's speech defied logic and science. Erica felt an uneasy realization.

"Captain Talala, never heard of it," Matt thought of zombie William, previously purified by Kikyo. The intelligent creature before him made him realize these revived zombies had their own thoughts and wisdom.

"Things are getting even more troublesome!" Matt's heart sank. An unintelligent beast was manageable, but an intelligent monster spelled disaster.

Hmm? Two prompts suddenly appeared before Moriah. His massive form slowly stood up and turned to look at Hammerhead beside him.

"Hehehehe! It seems that the men I arranged at the dock have caught some interesting toys. Let's go and take a look."

...

Suddenly, a commotion erupted among the surrounding containers, and the incessant banging sounds seemed extremely harsh in the quiet dock.

"Bang!"

The iron door blocking one container was knocked open, and strange-looking zombies rushed out.

"Hey, are you kidding me? These can't all be..." Erica was dumbfounded. She never imagined tonight's seemingly simple mission would become so chaotic.

"Such a quantity!" Matt observed using his radar perception and came up with an astonishing number.

A vast number of zombies were hidden in the containers at the dock. One by one, zombies with obvious stitches and strange shapes walked out. These zombies were different from the ones Matt had encountered on the streets before. At least those could be considered human-shaped. But these were huge, bizarre, with some having animal heads on human bodies.

"This looks absolutely disgusting!" Erica exclaimed.

"Monkey monkey monkey monkey~"

"What are you going to do now?" Talala's huge spider body climbed onto a container, making a weird laugh. It looked mockingly at Matt and Erica, who were now surrounded by zombies.

"I am in front of you, and the fully armed armored warriors are behind you. In this way... you two little bugs, you can't escape!" Talala laughed.

"You disgusting guy, do you think you can catch us like this?" Erica sneered, her anger rising. She didn't want to appear incompetent to her boss. Although she didn't care about being hunted by the Hand, working with Kingpin had its advantages. She couldn't let anything go wrong tonight; she had to find Hammerhead.

"It seems we were targeted the moment we entered the dock," Matt analyzed calmly. After the spider monkey Talala appeared, details Matt had previously overlooked began to emerge. Despite being blind, his radar imaging capabilities revealed a large number of spider webs on the containers. Occasionally, he heard rustling sounds of crawling.

Now it was clear... The source of the sound was the huge spider-like monster in front of him.

"Don't underestimate the intelligence capabilities of Spider-Rat. I know everything about your actions," Talala taunted. It was bored for too long and finally had some fun.

"Matt, you don't like me killing people, but if it's a zombie..." Erica, initially frightened by the zombies, gradually calmed down. "That's fine, then." Erica played with the ruler in her hand, her eyes narrowing. Suddenly, a fierce murderous intent broke out.

"Erica, don't..." Matt began, but Erica had already rushed into the encirclement of zombies, iron bars in both hands, killing everyone in the area.

...

"Monkey monkey monkey monkey~" Talala's exaggerated laughter echoed. "I will capture you and present you to Lord Moria."

Lord Moria? Matt recalled hearing that name from zombie William. What was the relationship between Hammerhead and Moriah? What role did the Maggia Gang play, and what was Moriah's goal? If these zombies ran loose, it would affect all of Hell's Kitchen and even Manhattan.

As Matt pondered, Talala launched an attack.

"Spider's sticky web!" White spider silk shot from Talala's mouth like a cannonball. Matt's radar sensed danger, causing him to dodge. The sticky silk passed over him, entangling zombies behind him. Despite their struggles, they couldn't break free.

The viscosity is too strong! Matt was surprised. He pulled out his sticks, swung towards Talala, and struck its monkey head hard.

"Hiss~ My head is going to swell," Talala shouted, clapping its huge hands and shooting more spider silk. Matt dodged, but his attacks were ineffective against the massive spider monkey.

...

As the battle dragged on, it became a stalemate. While Matt fought Talala, Erica was growing frustrated. Despite her relentless attacks, the zombies kept getting back up.

"Damn it! Why can't I kill him!!!" Erica yelled. The iron ruler had dismembered a zombie with cat ears, yet it still moved. This is unscientific!

Matt, playing hide-and-seek with Talala, heard Erica's screams. He frowned.

When Kikyo dealt with the zombie William, it didn't take long. Wasn't it killed with one arrow? Could there be specific conditions to destroy these zombies? If he had known, he would have brought Kikyo along.

Matt swung next to Erica. "These bodies move because they are inhabited by souls that are not their own," he explained, kicking away a half-zombie.

"Possessing souls? Is this some new technology?" Erica asked, swinging her ruler.

"I don't know the specific principle, but a witch told me."

"Miko?" Erica raised her eyebrows, stabbing a rabbit zombie's eye. "How come I didn't know you knew a witch?"

"We just met not long ago," Matt replied.

"Oh, then it seems I returned to New York at a bad time. I seem to have disturbed you," Erica said coldly.

"…" Matt paused, then spoke helplessly. "Please focus. Without a specific method, we can't kill these zombies."

"Oh, man!" Erica's attacks became more powerful. The female killer had her temper.

"Monkey monkey monkey~ Give up, you can't escape!" Talala laughed, watching Erica and Matt defend back-to-back.

Just then, a helicopter's roar filled the night sky, accompanied by a clicking sound. A huge searchlight illuminated the dock, making it as bright as day.

"Hahaha!" A loud, arrogant laugh echoed. "Look who this is, the Fearless Man of Hell's Kitchen! But now they are like little bugs with nowhere to escape. This scene is really rare to see!"

The figure on the helicopter caught Matt and Erica's attention.

"Hammerhead!" The boss of the Maggia gang, Matt and Erica's target tonight, Hammerhead, had appeared!
