Chapter 18 - Dominion

With Arthur dead and her human ties severed, Lily fled the kingdom, leaving chaos in her wake. She returned to the demon lands, where the remnants of Azaroth's forces awaited her. They had seen the power she now wielded, the dark magic that swirled around her like a living shadow, and they knew that she was no longer the girl they once underestimated.

Lily declared herself the new Demon Queen, vowing to honor Azaroth's legacy and continue his fight against the humans. She no longer saw herself as part of the human world. That life was over. She had become something else, something more.

"Azaroth… I will show you, that loving me, was not in vain. I will carry on you're will, you're legacy and make it so that no one can forget you. I will take the title of Demon Queen, atleast in this way, we can still be connected, I will be the Queen that you will be proud of, so watch over me… for I will unite even the heavens in you're name"

after pledging such a vow on a cold winter night, she took another sip of her wine and fell asleep.

Under her rule, the demon forces that had been scattered began to regroup. They rallied behind her, seeing in her the strength and cruelty of their fallen king. Lily led them with a fierce determination, her heart hardened by loss and betrayal. Where once she had felt compassion, now there was only cold resolve.

Years passed, and the name of the Demon Queen became feared across the human kingdoms. Lily waged war on those who had wronged her, her armies of demons cutting through human forces with ruthless efficiency. What had started as a quest for revenge soon became something far darker. Lily no longer fought to right wrongs or to honor Azaroth's memory; she fought to crush anyone who stood in her way.

Her heart, once filled with grief and righteous anger, had grown cold and cruel. Power consumed her, and she relished it. There was no mercy in her now, no compassion for the weak. She ruled with an iron fist, and both humans and demons alike learned to fear her wrath.

Anyone who questioned her authority was swiftly dealt with.

The human kingdoms, once united under the banner of righteousness, now trembled at the mention of her name. She had become a force of destruction, unstoppable and unrelenting.

But with power came a heavy cost. As her empire grew, the lines between justice and cruelty blurred. What had once been a fight for vengeance had twisted into a desire for control and domination. The kindness and compassion she had once held were buried deep beneath her need to maintain her rule.

In the dark halls of her new palace, surrounded by loyal demons and terrified subjects, Lily sat alone on the throne once held by Azaroth. She had everything she had once sought—power, fear, control. But the price had been high.

The memory of Azaroth, the one who had truly understood her, had faded into the background of her mind, overshadowed by her desire for domination.
