Having breakfast with my little sister was nice it helped me in more ways than I realized, so right after breakfast I got out the house and as usual my friends were waiting for me " hi guys good morning " I said
" Good morning Rick " Max and Rika said in unison they were both surprised then they glare at each then they both turned their heads to face the opposite direction
I let out a little laugh then I said " how funny you two are in sync I guess you must be closer than you think " Rika looked a bit uncomfortable after hearing what and and Max didn't care at all
" Whatever let's get going..... We'll be late if take too long " Max said as he put his hands behind the back of his head and so started heading to school while talking
" Rika I'm curious what do you of situation with that creepy forest " Max asked and I gotta say I was really curious too and I wanted to take it seriously since information about how proceed depended on the quest
Rika started explaining what she discovered and her thoughts on the matter " let's see...... From what we've gathered so far I think it's safe to assume that the place can not be found unless certain conditions are met and regarding conditions I think we couldn't find the place because we have not met all the required conditions for finding the place "
Rika brought up an interesting theory and I agreed with her way of thinking, she continued explaining " well it is also possible that the forest can just be a place to find some sort of secret passage or some sort teleport point "
Max got curious so he asked a question " wait even if that is true it doesn't explain anything like how that small creepy forest became big like crazy once we entered it, I know it's shouldn't be possible " I decided to stay quiet because I thought my suggestions might interfere and affect the dream by changing things
" I see you are as forgetful as always, remember whenever little miss story teller talked the place she always said that it a place where anything can be made real including making the unreal real and vice versa " Rika explained and I couldn't help but be impressed by her
I guess spend years apart made me forget that Rika was a genius in her own way well it's reasonable she was student body president. Her theories might be correct but I have a feeling there is more it, well I think it's a nice start. Being in this body has really messed up my way of thinking
" Alright I think I get what you trying to say, to be honest I just thought it was some kind of illusion " Max said. I got curious so I asked " illusions what lead to conclusion " Max started answering " well you see I thought it was illusions because no other thing seem possible at the time I mean a lot people know how to make Illusions and people who practice ninjitsu use them all the time "
After explaining his thought Max looked excited, " at first I was not interested because I thought it was just a bunch of ninjas practicing how to make terrible joke but hearing Rika's explanation it changes things, this feeling haven't felt in a while I know something interesting is heading our way I can't wait "
Things which were unusual attracted Max's attention and knowing that the line between impossible and possible had disappeared it got him a little excited, as we were walking I noticed something but others didn't seem to care so I asked
" Hey guys I've been wondering this for a while but I am the only one who noticed that there's a person following us " as we were walking I got the feeling of being watched and it was then when I noticed that someone was following us
" Ohh Rick I like how humble you can be sometimes but you shouldn't pay attention to the small fries you should just focus on the destination " Max said as he put his hand on my shoulder and I wonder a kid so young got that kind of attitude so I said " look I know you don't really care but shouldn't you wonder why there is person following us "
" Rick don't bother, taking the initiative approach will only lead to more unexpected events which will ultimately result in a total waste of our time " Rika said as she also was aware of the person following us
" Besides it's not like this is something new to us, it happens every once in a while. So just wait they'll go away eventually, I mean they always do " Max explained them I asked " so you've always noticed when we're being followed "
Rick is worrying about nothing, I'm sure that every person who has ill intentions against us must have or will realize that everything they try to do will futile........... That much I'm certain of
" Pretty much I tend to not sweat the details " Max replied a nonchalantly. While were talk the school's bus passed us and when I looked at the bus all the students who sat on the window sit were staring at us and the presence of the person who was following us disappeared
" See Rick they're gone now like I said.... Must have gotten scared " Max said as he put his hands on the back of his head and out of concern of our safety I asked " So... Max.... What if it was someone dangerous "
After I asked the question the air around us started to get intense then Max's voice became serious and he said, " even if that were the case it's not like they can do anything about it, " the seriousness in his eyes and the aura around him as he said those words would give anyone goosebumps in words he was a monster in his own league but I was no different
I honestly had forgotten of how confident Max was in his capabilities as far as I could remember no matter the situation nothing managed to faze the dangerous some was the more interested he'd be. My friend here is absolutely convinced that he is the strongest
A few minutes later we arrived at school, " you guys seem pretty relax despite the fact the we late " I asked as we were walking in an empty hall way, " you can't make a great entrance if you are first person to arrive, you have to be the last " Max replied
We reached the door to our classroom and when we opened the door out nowhere Max said, " I'm here " everyone in the class was surprised because he answered at the moment the teacher called out his name on the roll call, " great timing, one second later and would have marked you absent. Hurry take your seats we don't have all day you know "
The teacher really didn't care about us coming in late because our grades were high we were considered to be the exceptions and the school gave us authority which came with a little freedom for as long we produced results. Our class nick named us the triangle because everyone thought we were a perfect trio
" Late as always team triangle sure doesn't like playing by the rules " one student said as we were walking take our sits. As I was heading for my sit everyone was making a big fuss and talking among themselves but I noticed someone who stood out and air around him looked different he was a boy sitting in corner and his name was Kuroi Nishinoomote
Kuroi was the definition of average in our classroom because at that time everything he did be it tests or sport his results didn't stand out because he never failed nor did he performance well in anything, he was always ranked among the average
From what I could remember he was the quiet type and a loner so nobody really paid that much attention to him and his averageness didn't strike me as interesting so I wanted nothing to do with him
His appearance didn't stand out he had slightly short brown hair and brown yellowish eyes, a small nose and he was tall. So I sat down i started thinking about how to get to that place
Maybe we should just try and ask miss story teller to take us there... No that won't work I know the forest is the key but I don't know what to do maybe I should just talk to the story and she'll say something important I just need to ask indirectly
As the day went by classes proceeded smoothly without incident and after a while it was lunch time. My friends and I always had our on the roof of the school because it was so peaceful, no students would to go up there so it was perfect and as usual we went up there and ate our lunch
After our lunch break ended we started to head back to class and yes everyone was staring at us as we passed through the hall way, " I guess these people just can't get enough of us I mean we have been at this school for years now", Max said and then I continued his sentence with, " and we see each other almost everyday yet ogle at us like vultures "
Then Rika said " you guys it's not polite to talk about the students like that and with them listening ", Max put my hands at the back of his head and replied to Rika with, " we are just stating facts and expressing our opinions, in fact they should just be more appreciative our honesty "
" You guys can be awfully rude sometimes at this rate the entire student body will hate you know " Rika exclaimed then I responded by saying " that's the point you know, I'm not a fan of this attention "
To people who don't know it may look like the way we acted or talked about others students would make them hate but it was the exact opposite, Rika was well known around the school for here excellent grades and her beauty which eventually lead her becoming school president and one the most loved people in school
While Max and I were known for our looks and our attitudes most of the people in school thought of us as badass although our grades were just as good as Rika's nobody really cared about them
Then later that day the last bell rang and it was time for everyone to go home. We packed everything which needed packing then we headed home. We always walked together then when we reached the part where split up in three we went separate ways
I used take the road on the middle, Max took the road on the left and Rika the one on the right, that was where we used to say our goodbyes since none us had phones neither was any of us interested
Max was on his way home after we went different ways and he was walking alone then suddenly out of nowhere someone said " hey do you like someone " Max was surprised because the person next to him was Kimiko Sano
The girl we usually called little miss story teller appeared out of nowhere and initiated a conversation with Max
What the hell..... Where did she come from I couldn't sense her at all it was like she appeared out of thin air and what's with the random question I'll pretend I didn't hear she said
With a surprised look on Max's face he said " what ........ Could you repeat what you said I wasn't paying attention ".
Normally when people ask a random or unusual question and you tell them to repeat themselves they normally change the question or their statement to avoid awkwardness so I should expect the same
" Oh I see you didn't hear my question " Kimiko said as moved her face closer to Max's then she continued " I was ask
