The military helicopter disappeared into the distance, its rotors cutting through the air with a fading roar.
Yuto Saito and his team pressed forward, cutting down zombies with precision. Every strike was lethal, every move calculated. They had barely moved 200 meters when another horde appeared, this time with a terrifying addition—ten agile jumping corpses, the kind that would make even the strongest fighters hesitate.
The creatures snarled and leaped toward them, each jump filled with lethal intent.
"Roar!" one of the jumping corpses screamed as it launched itself at Yuto Saito.
But Yuto's thoughts sharpened into action. With a flicker of his mind, ten flying knives shot through the air, slicing through the creatures with deadly accuracy. In an instant, the jumping corpses were nothing but lifeless bodies on the ground.
[You have killed a second-order jumping corpse. You gained 200 experience points.]
[You have obtained a white spar.]
Yuto smiled broadly as he pocketed the white spar. He had already collected over a hundred of them, and the experience was piling up fast. The rest of his team was equally fierce, and together they had racked up over 10,000 experience points. The jumping corpses alone had contributed 2,000.
They pressed on, cutting through the lower-tier zombies like a knife through butter. Even the zombie leaders, usually tougher opponents, fell with little resistance. This area was crawling with low-level undead, perfect for farming experience.
Yuto did the math in his head. At this rate, he could easily gain enough to level up five times.
Two minutes later, the team cleared the street of all zombies. Ruoruo wiped her brow and beamed. "Wow, we really killed a lot! I gained over 20,000 experience!"
Ni Shuang, smiling, added, "Same here. The experience sharing is really working out for us."
"I think I want to grind a bit more," Yuto suggested, his eyes gleaming with determination. "I want to hit 100,000 experience."
"The more, the better," Ni Shuang agreed with a grin.
Yuto noticed Hu Tuan'er looking pale and stepped toward her with concern. "Are you okay?"
Hu Tuan'er nodded, though her expression was still uneasy. "I'm fine. It's just... my first time killing zombies. Took some getting used to, but I'm okay now."
Ruoruo chimed in with a laugh, "I almost threw up the first time I killed one."
Mina smirked, teasing, "Is that what you call 'almost'? I remember you running to the side to puke."
Ruoruo turned red, laughing nervously. "Sister Mina, can you not bring that up? I'm just an assistant healer—I'm not cut out for combat like you guys."
Mina chuckled. "Okay, I'll stop teasing. Thanks for the healing boost earlier, though."
Ruoruo waved her off with a smile. "No worries!"
Yuto Saito's mind was already elsewhere. "Hold on, everyone. I'm going to scout for more zombies." He lifted off the ground, flying upward to get a better view of the surrounding area. His enhanced vision talent allowed him to scan each street with ease.
West of them, a dark street teemed with over a thousand zombies. Perfect.
He landed softly and informed the team. "West side. There's a lot of them."
Without hesitation, they set off, moving swiftly toward their next target. Even the weakest among them was at five-star strength, so they moved with blinding speed.
When they arrived, it didn't take long to clear the area. The team annihilated over a thousand zombies, gaining another 30,000 experience points in the process.
Yuto's face lit up with satisfaction. In total, he had accumulated 60,000 experience. Things were going even better than expected.
In a nearby residential area, a young man was recording the action on his phone, his eyes wide with admiration. He was a fan of the God of War team and couldn't believe his luck seeing them in action. The men were powerful, and the women were stunning.
He quickly uploaded the video with the title: Shocking! God of War Team Cleans Up Zombies in Minutes! Huge Thanks!
The video went viral instantly, with comments flooding in.
"My God, the God of War team is amazing!"
"They're cutting down zombies like it's nothing."
"Truly living up to their name—God of War!"
"Wow, even a fifth-order giant zombie would stand no chance against them."
"God of War team, please come to the Northeast! We're stuck in a warehouse and can't go outside!"
Meanwhile, overhead, another military helicopter flew in. From it, a rope dropped, and a woman, Song Yi, descended to the ground. As soon as her boots hit the pavement, she looked around in awe.
"Yuto Saito… and so many beautiful women?" she muttered under her breath.
She approached Yuto with a grin. "You actually showed up!"
Yuto smiled back. "Of course. We're here to collect spar."
Song Yi gave him a nod of gratitude. "Thanks, Yuto. You've made things a lot easier for us. I heard from my comrades that the God of War team was in the area. I just had to come and see for myself."
"Don't thank me just yet," Yuto replied coolly. "We're only here for ourselves. But if you want to thank me, feel free to give me spar in return."
Song Yi laughed. "Deal. We just cleared out five groups of zombies in the next city over and collected more than 600 spar. All yours."
Yuto didn't hesitate to take the spar, pocketing them with a satisfied grin. "Thanks."
Song Yi nodded. "Sanya and Ning City are under control now, but Wuzhi City still needs help."
Yuto looked to his team. "Shall we?"
The girls, with unwavering resolve, nodded back. "Let's go."
Song Yi, taken aback, asked, "Do you need a ride? I can arrange for the helicopter."
Yuto shook his head. "No need. One of us can teleport."
"Teleport?" Song Yi's eyes widened. She had never heard of such a powerful ability.
With that, Yuto's team disappeared in an instant, transported by their teammate's teleportation ability.
Song Yi watched them vanish in awe. If only her unit had a teleporter, their ability to help others would increase tenfold. It was a gift that could change everything.
By the time Song Yi arrived at Wuzhi City, the God of War team had already wiped out the remaining zombies. Their efficiency was unmatched. Yuto Saito's team had the strength of an army and the mobility of legends.
Back on the floating island, the team basked in the glow of their achievements.
"That was amazing!" Nazi exclaimed. "I've never fought so many zombies at once. That last wave was huge—three thousand!"
Ni Shuang grinned. "I gained a total of 180,000 experience."
Yuto smiled quietly. His total was far greater—900,000.
He accessed his system and upgraded his character. Five levels in one go.
[Ding! Congratulations on reaching Level 5. You have been awarded 100 2x experience pills, 50 3x experience pills, 30 5x experience pills, and 10 10x experience pills.]
[Ding! You have received five copy cards.]
With a grin, Yuto looked at the floating island's interface. "System, upgrade the floating island."
[Ding! Consuming 1,000 white spar. Please select four upgrades for the host.]
Yuto scanned through the options, already excited for what lay ahead.
