"I'm so full! The food cooked by Sister Yun is absolutely delicious," Natto exclaimed, praising her.
Yun Yun smiled modestly. "I'm glad everyone likes it."
Orange chimed in, "There's still a lot left; it seems a bit wasteful."
Mina suggested, "Let's not waste the leftovers. We can pack them up and I'll send them to Hutuan'er and the rice noodles. Plus, I'll use Charm to find out more details about Hutuan'er."
Yuto Saito nodded in agreement. "That's a good idea, Mina. Choose someone to accompany you."
Mina looked around at the girls. "Who would like to come with me?"
Orange raised her hand eagerly. "I will!"
Ruoruo also chimed in, "I'll go too!"
Nako added, "I can come as well."
Yuto Saito smiled and said, "Then it's settled. All of you should go."
Mina noted, "There's plenty of food left over—enough for six or seven people."
Yun Yun added, "I was planning to cook more, but if you're hungry, we can fry some rice later for supper."
Yuto Saito said, "Mina should take the food to the tiger group; it's a nice welcome gift."
Yun Yun nodded in agreement. "Yes, let's take it all over."
Ruoruo remarked, "Don't think of it as leftovers. In this environment, this food is a luxury."
Tangerine echoed her sentiment. "That's so true!"
Mina continued, "I'll give these meals to Hu Tuan'er and their dormitory, as well as to Sister Zhou's dormitory."
"Sounds good," Yuto Saito agreed.
Mina used her ring to gather the leftover food, placing the rice cooker inside, and made her way to the kitchen to grab a few clean dishes.
Afterward, Mina and the others set off, leaving the floating island to head toward the girls' dormitory at the school.
Just as they left, Yuto Saito's phone rang with an unfamiliar number.
He answered, "Hello?"
On the other end, a woman's voice said, "Hello, Mr. Yuto Saito. I'm Song Yi, the captain of the Warhammer 1 Team of the Southern Military Region."
A smile crept across Yuto Saito's face. The military had indeed reached out to him.
"Officer Song, hello. What can I do for you?" he replied politely.
Song Yi continued, "I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you kill that fourth-order human-faced demon spider?"
Yuto Saito admitted, "Yes, that was me."
Song Yi's voice was tinged with excitement. "I knew it! Would you be interested in joining the military to help protect more people?"
Yuto Saito replied firmly, "I'm not interested; I have my own team."
She pressed on, "Is Nazi also part of your team?"
"Yes," Yuto confirmed.
Song Yi then asked, "I just saw a video circulating online of the God of War squad. Is that you?"
Earlier, a police officer had shown Song Yi a video of someone taking down a fifth-order giant zombie in the Magic Capital.
When she saw Yuto Saito's name among the most liked comments, she couldn't help but be surprised. He had actually been in the Magic Capital at noon. The video showcased him skillfully controlling flying knives, and it was clear that his team was exceptionally powerful.
Song Yi realized that a team with such strength was unlikely to join the military—they surely had their own motives. However, her superiors had insisted she make the call, so she continued.
"Yes, that fifth-order giant zombie was killed by me. Officer Song, I believe you understand the strength of our team. We won't join the military, but we are open to discussing a collaboration," Yuto Saito said with a smile.
Song Yi perked up. "What kind of cooperation do you have in mind?"
Yuto Saito explained, "Our team is very strong, even stronger than you think. If the military encounters high-level zombies or monsters that they can't handle, we can help take care of them."
Song Yi's excitement grew. "That's fantastic news! What would you need from us? Supplies or weapons?"
"I need a lot of spar. If the military is willing to provide it, our team is ready to help," Yuto Saito stated.
Song Yi was confused. "Spar? The military has collected plenty from killing zombies and monsters. What do you plan to do with it?"
At this early stage of the apocalypse, few people had awakened their talent for refining medicine. Most chose to remain discreet about their abilities, making the true value of spar not widely known.
Yuto Saito clarified, "In short, the spar is useful to me. If the military is willing to provide it, I'd be more than happy to cooperate."
Song Yi nodded eagerly. "Understood. How many crystals do you need?"
Yuto Saito specified, "For example, I helped you kill a fourth-order monster, so you should give me 400 spar as a reward. A fifth-order monster would be 500 spar, and so on."
Song Yi quickly understood. "If it's a seventh-order monster, it's 700 spar; an eighth-order monster, it's 800 spar, correct?"
"Exactly," Yuto confirmed.
She hesitated for a moment before asking, "If you don't mind me asking, what's the current strength of your team? Don't worry; I'll keep it confidential."
Yuto Saito stated confidently, "I can kill a ninth-order monster! The average strength of our team is 6-star combat power."
Song Yi's heart raced. Could he really kill a ninth-order monster? Was he exaggerating? The average strength being 6 stars just two days into the apocalypse seemed almost impossible—unless they had encountered some special opportunity.
A realization struck her: "Could it be that spar improves their team's strength?"
If that were true, forming an alliance with Yuto Saito could prove invaluable in the future.
The military had amassed hundreds of thousands of pieces of spar, especially in Wu City, where 100,000 crystals had been collected!
If they ever faced high-level monsters, transferring some spar to Yuto Saito's team would surely solve the problem.
Song Yi smiled, "It's a pleasure to work with your team! I'll report this to my superiors right away."
Yuto Saito replied, "Great! If you're willing to cooperate, you just dealt with a fourth-order human-faced spider—could you take care of that for me?"
Song Yi was slightly taken aback. Was Yuto Saito this eager for spar?
"Okay, I'll apply for that right away and get back to you soon," she assured him.
Yuto Saito ended the call with a satisfied smile.
