At seven in the morning, Mina stirred from her sleep.
She sat up, stretched her arms, and let out a long yawn, her movements unhurried and full of youthful energy. After a quick shower, she slipped into a pair of skinny jeans and a snug crop top, both hugging her figure perfectly and highlighting her curves.
As she sat down to eat, Mina nibbled on a piece of bread and sipped from a carton of milk. This wasn't just any breakfast—Yuto Saito had given her the milk the day before, a gesture that made Mina's heart flutter with joy. In this world of chaos, any bit of kindness felt magnified, and Mina convinced herself that Yuto Saito had a soft spot for her. Even if it was just her looks, it was still something. At least she was valuable in a world that seemed to strip everyone of worth.
And truth be told, she wasn't wrong. Yuto Saito did find her appearance appealing—her beauty was undeniable.
Meanwhile, on the floating island, Yuto Saito slowly opened his eyes. Next to him, Yun Yun lay peacefully asleep, her face serene. He couldn't help but admire her—she was breathtaking even in her sleep.
Yun Yun's eyes fluttered open, her long lashes casting shadows on her cheeks. She smiled softly and whispered, "You're awake, husband."
Yuto Saito's voice was gentle. "Just now."
Yun Yun stretched, her smile widening. "I'll get up and make breakfast for you."
Yuto Saito chuckled. "Xiao Yun, you're the most perfect wife in the world."
A mischievous glint appeared in Yun Yun's eyes. "Only for you. If it were any other man, I'd probably kill him."
Amused, Yuto Saito asked, "What do you like about me?"
Yun Yun's reply was straightforward: "I like men who are stronger than me. And you, you're the only one I look up to."
Yuto Saito gently pinched her cheek, grinning. "Then I'm truly honored."
Yun Yun smiled back, and they both got up to start the day.
As Yuto Saito watched her dress, he couldn't help but admire her graceful figure. Her movements were effortless, and she knew he was looking, enjoying the attention.
After they finished getting ready, they headed downstairs to the villa's kitchen.
Yun Yun asked sweetly, "What would you like for breakfast?"
"Porridge," Yuto Saito replied. "How about shrimp porridge?"
"Shrimp porridge it is," Yun Yun said, already moving toward the stove.
Yuto Saito pulled out a fish tank from the storage ring, filled with fresh prawns and live crabs. Yun Yun glanced at the tank and smiled. "Isn't that a bit big for our kitchen?"
"We'll get a bigger kitchen eventually," Yuto Saito laughed as he put the fish tank away, handing her the fresh seafood.
With practiced ease, Yun Yun began cooking, her focus on the delicate balance of flavors.
Before long, Natto wandered downstairs, sniffing the air excitedly. "Wow! What smells so good?"
Yun Yun smiled. "I'm making shrimp and crab porridge."
Natto's eyes sparkled with anticipation. "That sounds amazing!"
Yuto Saito glanced at the clock. "Xiao Shuang went to bed earlier than us. Why isn't she up yet?"
Natto shrugged. "She likes to stay up watching videos or listening to music. She might've gone to bed late."
Yuto Saito chuckled. "Well, if she doesn't wake up soon, we'll start without her."
Upstairs, Ni Shuang was still fast asleep, lost in a vivid dream. In her dream, there was a table full of braised pork ribs—her favorite dish. She reached for her chopsticks, eager to dig in, only to realize that the ribs were gone. Glancing around, she saw Yuto Saito, Yun Yun, and Natto happily eating the ribs, smiling at her as they devoured every last piece.
"No way! You didn't save me any?" Ni Shuang thought in shock, the betrayal jolting her awake.
She blinked, disoriented for a moment before realizing it had all been a dream. A sheepish smile spread across her face. "It was just a dream… Why was I dreaming about food?"
But then her nose twitched. Something smelled delicious. Driven by the mouthwatering aroma, she quickly brushed her teeth, washed her face, and changed before heading downstairs.
"Morning, everyone!" Ni Shuang greeted them with a cheerful smile as she entered the kitchen.
Yuto Saito looked up and smiled. "Morning."
Natto waved. "Good morning, Xiaoshuang! We were just talking about you."
Ni Shuang's curiosity was piqued. "Talking about me? What were you saying?"
Natto grinned mischievously. "Brother Su said if you didn't wake up soon, we'd eat all the breakfast without you."
Ni Shuang laughed, relieved. "Good thing I woke up when I did! I almost missed out on this delicious breakfast."
