"Mr. Preston, what a pleasant surprise," I said with a pounding heart. He looked more handsome in the kitchen apron, which he wore over a white button-down shirt and black trousers. I was sitting in his living room, which was as spacious as mine. But the decoration was different. His full apartment was in a combination of grey and golden, giving it a more mature vibe.
"I didn't know you were going to cook," I said again when he didn't answer my previous question. He kept staring at me with his cold eyes before parting his lips to say something.
"I don't like to interact with people while I am resting. So there's no housekeeper here. There's a maid who comes to clean the place while I am not here. As for the food I love to cook mine," he replied. He was behaving grumpy from the moment I stepped inside his apartment. I don't know if it was because I came earlier or he had something else running inside his head.
