An Nuan gathered her skirts and rushed out of the room to look at the situation.
She refused to believe Wen Xi's words.

There was no way that Pei Zhi Yi would choose to leave at this time.
Her steps halted as she reached the elevator. An Nuan's heart sunk the moment she saw Pei Zhi Yi's figure in front of the elevator.
The elevator's door was wide open.
His parents were holding his arms, preventing him from leaving while Pei Zhi Yi struggled to remove their grip around his arms.
"Mom, Dad, just give me five minutes. No. Ten minutes." Pei Zhi Yi struggled. "I will come back as soon as I can."
"This is your wedding day," Father Pei spoke through his gritted teeth. "You cannot leave."
"Dad. Jiao Jiao is in danger. She needs me."
An Nuan's face turned pale as she heard the name coming from her fiance's lips. Her legs turned wobbly. An Nuan took a step forward with her shaky legs. "Pei Zhi Yi."
The commotion in front of the elevator stopped. The Pei family members were stunned to see An Nuan in front of them.
They had tried hard to keep this matter a secret from her. Unexpectedly, An Nuan came out and witnessed this mess.
"Nuan Nuan..." Mrs. Pei walked over to her daughter-in-law, wanting to explain. However, she realized that she did not know how she should explain the situation to An Nuan.
"You're here." Pei Zhi Yi stood up straight. "Nuan Nuan, help me to speak some sense into them."
