Chereads / Versatile Mage : Reborn As Mo Fan / Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: The Test on the Bridge

Chapter 125 - Chapter 125: The Test on the Bridge

When the fire dragon lunged forward, the undead immediately dodged to the sides with nimble movements. Although they had no fear of death, they weren't brainless, especially the battle general-level ones.

However, Mo Fan's "Fiery Fist: Nine Dragons" was no longer a simple, straight-line attack. After being a high-level mage for so long, he had an incredibly precise grasp of his fire magic.

As the fire dragon circled the undead, it suddenly exploded with a loud "boom!" The nine dragons scattered, resembling a blossoming flower.

"Boom, boom, boom!!!"

The azure flames engulfed a large number of undead creatures. The battle generals were tough, but when the blue fire blossomed, they were utterly incinerated. Their remains crumbled into black ash, swirling in the air.

"Thunderbolt: Lightning Disaster!"

A massive thundercloud loomed over the sky. Lightning struck the ground, exploding in a display of purples and reds. The impact not only created tremendous damage but also sent tendrils of electric energy crawling across the ground like a spiderweb.

"Boom, boom!!!"

"Shadow Nail!"

Although protected by Little Flame Belle, the undead kept surrounding and attacking from all directions. Mo Fan couldn't instantly kill all the battle general-level undead with every attack. So, the shadow magic came in handy, holding enemies in place with absolute control.

"Spatial Tremor!"

"Buzz~~~!!!"

Thanks to his light magic reaching the advanced tier, Mo Fan's spiritual realm also ascended from the third to the fourth tier. Even his space magic now held immense destructive power. After sweeping away waves of undead, his light magic was fully charged!

That's right—Mo Fan's light element was the perfect counter against the undead. After reaching the advanced level, he discovered he could condense the power of golden light into a tangible weapon. He hadn't yet mastered the advanced light magic constellation, so he could only rely on his control skills to form it.

"Buzz~~~!!!"

As Mo Fan finished constructing the spell, a giant, radiant sword of light appeared in his hands. Gripping the golden sword with both hands, he swung it in a wide arc.

"Whoosh!"

"Zzzt, zzzt, zzzt!!!"

"Grrrr~~~!!!"

"Awooo~~~~!!!"

With one swing, nearly a hundred undead around him were obliterated in an instant.

"Little Flame Belle, merge!"

Sensing the overwhelming dominance of the light sword, Mo Fan called for the Little Flame Belle to merge with him. The fairy, who had been hovering around Mo Fan, immediately entered his body upon hearing the command.

"Boom!"

The giant sword of light, already radiating golden brilliance, was now engulfed in flames. The sword carried both azure flames and brown calamity fire, and its glow intensified. Mo Fan gripped the sword tightly with both hands. Before the undead could close in, he swung it down hard.

"Bang, bang, bang!!!"

As the fire-covered giant sword struck, the ground shook violently. That one swing wiped out hundreds of corpses, skeletons, and ghosts in one go. The grim, death-filled area was now bathed in the radiant glow of Mo Fan's sword.

"Awooo!!!"

The Meat Mound Corpse Lord, still battling Winged Azure Wolf, roared in fury as it saw all its minions slain. How dare this mere human be so audacious? Its massive body compressed into a giant ball of flesh, then it rolled rapidly toward Mo Fan.

"I'll handle this!"

Winged Azure Wolf wanted to stop the Meat Mound Corpse Lord, as Mo Fan had left this enemy to him. But when Winged Azure Wolf heard Mo Fan's shout, he halted his attack.

"Fire Wings!"

Mo Fan's back sprouted flaming wings. With Little Flame Belle merged with him, his already fiery wings now burned even brighter, turning him into a radiant sun.

"Flying Sword!"

"Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh!!!"

As the Meat Mound Corpse Lord came crashing toward him, Mo Fan's giant sword shot up into the air. Mo Fan continued to gather light energy and fire power, spinning the sword like a propeller.

"Boom, boom, boom!!!"

Just as the rolling ball of flesh was about to strike, the sword, like an untethered horse, flew out at incredible speed. As it soared, the sword shone even brighter, with not just golden light but also the blue and brown flames.

"Bang!!!"

The moment the giant sword collided with the Meat Mound Corpse Lord, there was a slight pause before the sword's tip exploded. Waves of flames spread outward in all directions. The Meat Mound Corpse Lord, a creature as tough as a massive iron ball, started to split apart. As the dual flames surged into its monstrous body, it was reduced to pieces!

Winged Azure Wolf had merely been keeping the creature busy to ensure Mo Fan wouldn't be disturbed while dealing with smaller enemies. The Meat Mound Corpse Lord was still in peak condition when it began its assault. However, under Mo Fan's sword, even this tank-like creature was blown to pieces in one hit.

"Thud!"

"Thud!"

Chunks of charred flesh from the Meat Mound Corpse Lord fell to the ground. Even with a horde of over a thousand undead, equivalent to an army of mid-level monsters, Mo Fan managed to slay them all—including the commanding undead—within half an hour.

After Mo Fan wiped out this batch of undead, a new silver vortex appeared in the sky above him. This vortex was larger and more powerful than the previous one. Its spatial ripples could be felt even from miles away.

From the silver, compass-like vortex, dark shapes began to emerge. These figures fell like rain, but this time, it wasn't a mere drizzle—it was a deluge. In no time, the entire rocky terrain was covered by a new wave of undead.

Hordes of undead kept falling, hundreds at a time. At first, Mo Fan thought it would stop after a few thousand, but the vortex kept spinning, continuously releasing undead from the strange space beyond.

This time, the majority were skeletons—white skeletons with glowing red eyes. The skeletal horde was so dense that it formed a vast forest of bones. Their red eyes shone like stars, sending cold beams of light.

"Heavenly Flame Funeral: Blazing Rain!"

Even though they numbered in the tens of thousands, Mo Fan knew one thing—he could never afford to lose his momentum. He was hesitant to exhaust too much of his magic, as he didn't want to rely on his demon form.

The demon form came with a heavy price, and without the special bead, he didn't want to risk using it. But with tens of thousands of skeletons marching toward him, Mo Fan had no choice but to unleash a more devastating attack. He knew, despite his special body, if the skeletons managed to pierce him, he would still be in danger.

Azure fire clouds filled the sky as Mo Fan pressed his hands down. Instantly, an apocalyptic firestorm descended from above.
