Jungkook sat in car with Minji on passenger seat. Minji was wearing a black long gown with princess hairband. Jungkook was about to put seatbelt when he heard. "Did you see my picture ?" A girl's voice came. He rolled his eyes and clenched his teeth.
"Who is Ji-hyun ?" Jungkook asked. "It's none of our buisness. She is gonna go with you and Minji with you both." Hae-won said.
The girl clicked her picture and sent to her friend to whom she was talking on bluetooth. She was wearing a strapless voilet gown. "Yes. babe." She said. Jungkook pulled the seat belt in frustration. "I am gonna make a new account on Instagraph and post it." Ji-hyun said.
"OMG ! Even comments are flooding already." Ji-hyun squealed making Minji giggle. "Yess, babes I would update you. Afterall, I am going to party of prestigious people of Seoul." She said smirking.
Jungkook applied force on gas pedal and drove off.
AT VENUE -
A car stopped in front of the venue. The valet opened the door. Namjoon got off from car and went ahead to help Mina to get off. They both entered thevenue. Every reporter ran towards them and clicked their pictures and asked few questions. They both smiled and entered.
Namjoon and Mina were swarmed by reporters. Tzuyu came to greet them. They went ahead together. Mina was looking here and there. Namjoon noticed and whispered. "Are you finding your ex-husband so anxiuosly ?" Namjoon mocked and Mina looked at him. "Today he will fall down from heights and would never able to cope up." Namjoon said and smirked.
Next up came Jaebom and Y/N. Jaebom was not a big shot so much crowd was not there. The managinng team welcomed them and took them inside. Y/N smiled at everyone. Jaebom introduced Y/N to everyone. Y/N also greeted them warmly.
Then another car stopped. The valet opened the car door and Jungkook got off. He was looking handsome and sophisticated in his white tuxedo.He signalled Minji to give her hand. He went inside the venue ignoring a dramatic Ji-hyun.
Reporters took hi pictures. Jungkook side glanced at Ji-hyun and found her still chatting. He rolled his eyes and went ahead. As soon as he entered inside, the reporters swarmming Namjoon went and swarmed around Jungkook. Jungkook greeted everyone.
Y/N noticed him and got surprised to see him there. Namjoon and Mina turned around to see Jungkook. Jungkook was smiling and greeting when he noticed Mina and Namjoon. His smile dropped and a frown was replaced. Ji-hyun came near him and stood.
"Oh, a female company ? Well, he won't get award but he needss omething to satisfy his heart." Namjoon smirked mockingly. Jungkook glared at Mina. Mina saw a glimpse of Minji. he tried to see her but Jungkook hid her behind him.
Namjoon smiled. "Why ? Are your old memories freshened ?" Mina looked at him in disbelief. "Namjoon please. Sometimes you cross your limits. My daughter is also there. I was seeing her." Mina said.
"Oh, so now you are missing her ? That's why you abandoned her ?" Namjoon asked. "Yes, I left her. Are you sad ? No, right ? All this for you." Mina retorted.
Jungkook excused himself from reporters and went ahead. "He came here too." Y/N said with disgust. Jaebom listened and saw in her direction to see Jungkook. He felt a little weird but smiled and continued hiss conversation. Y/N noticed Minji and a smile crept on her face.
"Hello ladies and gentlemen. Thank you for coming to this event." The host spoke. Everyone turned towards the stage. "Please take your seats and let's start." He said and everyone disperesed to their seats. Jungkook, Minji, Ji-hyun, Mina, Jungkook and one more couple sat o same table.
"Hello, Mr. Jeon." The man shook hands with him. "Hi !" Jungkook smiled. "Hello, Mr. Kim." The man greeted Namjoon. "Well, Mr. Kim this year the competiton is not jusst in between us but now it is between us three." The man said and smiled. Namjoon also smiled. Jungkook and Namjoon had an eyelock.
Mina saw Minji sitting on chair. She smiled. "Uh, nice gown, Lie song Bong I guess ?" Ji-hyun asked. "Yes." Mina replied. "Can I take your picture ?" Ji-hyun aked and clicked a picture.. Mina jut ignored her. Jungkook was just bored sitting there.
Everyone was served the drinks. "Well, let the best man win." The man said while doing cheers. "You are right Mr. Han, from last 8 years best is winning and I am sure this time will also happen same." Namjoon boated. "I have organised a party after this event at my house. You all are invited." Namjoon said glancing at Jungkook
"Liar ! I know why you organised the party. I congratulate in advance." Mr. Han said making amjoon laugh.
"Well, as you all know, that we have gathered here to celebraye the year' largest award function." The host said makig all eyes turn to him. "In this function the best and outstanding CEO is awarded with the prize. So, to honour that one best man is present Mr. Song Cha. Please welcome him." The host said and a man went upto stage with sound of thunderus claps.
MInji was getting bored when she noticed Y/N close to her table. She ssmiled as Y/N also noticed her. A waiter came to their table and handed the ssoup. "Thank you." Minji said taking Jungkook's attention. She glanced at Y/N.
Y/N signalled her to take plate and place the soup bowl on it. Minji did a seen and picked the bowl in her both hands. "It's hot" Minji mumbled. Mina saw this and extended her hand for help but Namjoon held her hand.
"Someone help the girl, soup iss hot her hands can burn." Namjoon said staring at Jungkook who glared at him and went to help Minji. "I can do it. Thanks dada." Minji said making Y/N aww.
Minji glanced at Y/N again. Y/N took her cloth and spread it on her lap and Minji did same. Mina smiled. Y/N took the spoon and held near her mouth. Minji also took spoon to her mouth and drank from it. Y/N smiled at her and Minji smiled as if she got some prize for good work.
"Wow, dear. I am ssure your mumma has taught you such good manners." Mr. Han's wife said impresed. Jungkook glanced at Mina who looked down. "Because dads don't have much time." Mr. Han' wife said.
"Her mom didn't have free time for her, my mom ha taught her everything." Jungkook said glancing at Mina then at Mr. Han's wife. "Oh, nice." Jungkook smiled. Mina looked at Jungkook but looked away when claps were heard. "Thank you Mr. Song." The host said.
"Sso, now is time for best CEO of the year." Host said and Jungkook and Namjoon again had an eyelock. "As you all know that from last 8 yearss Mr. Kim Namjoon is winning this award. I would like to invite Mr. Song Cha to felicitate the award. Mr. Song came on stage.
"So, the moment of which everyone was waiting is here. The best CEO of the year 2024 goes to..." Host trailed. Jungkook swayed his champagne. Namjoon was all relaxed. Mina miled and Tzuyu alo smiled knowingly. But the name shocked everyone and Mina's smile dropped and Namjoon clenched his fists. "Mr. Jeon Jungkook."
Everyone stood up and clapped for him. Jungkook looked from his glass and stared at Namjoon victoriously. Minji clapped excitedly which made Y/N smile. Jungkook stood up and went near Namjoon. "top worrying about my kid and worry about yourself. Your soup iss also hot, take care that your hand don't burns." Jungkook whispered mocking and went to stage. Namjoon glared at him.
Jungkook was going to stage and shaking handss with everyone. Hanwoo came and shook hands with him. Jungkook smiled and hugged him. Hanwoo went ahead and called Jeon family. "Hello." He spoke. "Yes, what happened ?" Hae-won asked loudly.
"Congrats, ajumma Jungkook hyung won the award." He smiled.

"What ?" Hae-won said excited. "Tae, Nari, Mr. jeon come fat." he yelled hanging up.. Everyone gathered. "What happened ?" Tae asked. "Your hyung won best CEO of the year award. Go bring some sweet." Hae-won said. Tae nodded and went out.
Hae-won saw Hyun-tae slooking away with stern expression. "Dear, don't act in front of me. I know you are happy from inside." Hae-won said. Hyun-tae was silent. "Thank you god." Hae-won prayed.

Jungkook received the award and went to say on mic. He saw Minji clapping but that sight got blurred in front of Mina and Namjoon and his past experience came in his mind.
Namjoon won the best Ceo award. Jungkook clapped hard and smiled. Namjoon came to them. "Mia, you can take it in your hand once." Namjoon said smiling. Mina looked at Jungook. "Ye, yes see sir is saying." Jungkook said and Mina took the award in her hands with fascination.
"I am lucky that you are my boss sir, or else who invites his employee to such event right ?" Jungkook said and asked Mina. "Jungkook why you don't get such awards ?" Namjoon asked. "I have seen this event, this is enough for me. I am content sir, family man." He said side hugging Mina who was busy exploring award.
Jungkook came out of his trance and smiled. "Someone has said truly that there is aways a woman behind a successful man. I am also successful because of my wife. She wanted to see this award in her partners hand." Jungkook said staring at Mina who was surprised. "I think we should clap for her as well." Jungkook said and everyone clapped.
Mina looked down. Namjoon fumed in anger and stood up to leave. Mina also ran behind him. Jungkook smirked seeing their reactions.
Ji-hyun called Ye-ji. Ye-ji was applying night cream when her phone rang. She saw the photo sent by Ji-hyun of Ye-ji in gown. Ye-ji clenched her teeth. "Hello." She answered. "Hi, unniee." Ji-hyun said excited. "I can call you unniee, right ? After marriage you are my siter-in-law so I can call you unniee right ?" Ji-hyun asked.
"Idiot. First tell e why did you sent me thiss picture." Ye-ji said. "Unniee, don't you see the gown. It's so pretty. You know it is designed by Lie Sang Bong."Ji-hyun said dreamily. "I too want one." Ji-hyun said making Ye-ji roll her eyes.
"Do you even know who is wearing that dress ?" Ye-ji asked annoyed. "Yess, some Ceo's wife." Ji-hyun said confused. "Ji-hyun that's Mina." Ye-ji said. "Mina's gown." Ji-hyun said making Ye-ji want to bang her head on wall. "That's Mina's dress ? Unniee she is such a liar. She told me it was Lie Sang Bong's." Ji-hyun dramatically said.
"Ji-hyun that's Mina, Minji's mom." Ye-ji said annoyed. Ji-hyun gaped and aid loudly. "That Mina. The one in blue gown is Minji's mom ?" She said loudly which was heard by Minji. "Blue gown lady is my mumma ?" Minji mumbled and ran to find her. Ji-hyun was too busy on call to realise Minji's disspearance.
"Mr. Gong I don't want to hear anything. I want your explanation face to face. Yes." Namjoon ssaid in anger while entering the room of hotel where whole event was taking place. Mina also quickly entered. The hallway had many rooms. Minji came running in hallway and banged the doors.
"Mumma !" She said desperately. "Where has mumma gone ?" She said.
"I want answers Mina." Namjoon banged the alcohol bottle on table. "Right now. That Tzuyu, she said jury is in her control. She promised me but award was given to that worthless Jungkook." Namjoon yelled.
Minji was running here and there finding her mom. Y/N noticed that Minji was nowhere and Ji-hyun was buy on call. She stood up, and went near Ji-hyun. "Excuse me." she called. Ji-hyun looked up. "Where is the little kid that was with you ?" Y/N asked. "Which kid ?" Ji-hyun asked.
"Minji." Y/n said. "She would be here only. Maybe in washroom or finding her mom." Ji-hyun said making Y/N worried. "Her mom ? Her mom is here ?" Y/N asked confused. "She was sitting here only, didn't you see ?" Ji-hyun said irritated and resumed her call.
Y/N sat down and again asked. "Are you sure that Minji is with her mumma ?" Y/N asked. "Who are you ?" Ji-hyun asked. "Why are you so interested in Minji ?" She asked. Y/N frowned and got up to look for Minji.
Minji was still looking for her mom when she entered a dark room. As soon as she entered the door got closed and jammed.

Jungkook smiled and tood in front of podium and asked the reporter to sit and start conference. "How are you feeling after winning this award ?" A reporter asked. Jungkook smiled, "Of course I am feeling good."
"How do you feel after defeating Mr. Kim Namjoon who was winning the award for 8 years ?" Another asked. "No comments." Jungkook dismissed the question.
Namjoon threw papers on face of jury members. "I can't believe this." Namjoon said. "Look, Namjoon we reccomended you only but the way Jungkook has made his place in last 2 yr. We can't ignore it." The member said.
"And also in all nominations for Ceo award he is the youngest. Let's see how you will defeat him next time. All the best for next year." The member mocked and left. Namjoon threw the glass in his hands on floor. Mina closed her eyes.
"You said that there is your wife behind your success. Why did you say that ?" Reporter asked. "A very wise man ha said that there is a woman behind every successful man. In my case also it is true. Be it to lend the hand for supporting or leaving the hand in between." Jungkook said with a frown.
"It was my bad luck that the hand left me in between but if it didn't left I wouldn't have come to know my potential." Jungkook smiled.
"Namjoon you have much potential." Mina said consoling Namjoon. "If one year he gets award what' the big deal ?" mina asked. "What's the big deal ?" Namjoon scoffed and stepped closer to Mina. Mina stepped back surprised. "It's all your fault ?" He spat.
"My fault ?" Mina asked confused. "Yes, you left him for me right ? You challenged his potential." Namjoon said frustrated. "After leaving him whatever he does or why he does, what it has to do with me?" Mina asked.
"You can't get away from all of this so easily." Namjoon said. Mina glared at him. "I don't believe this." she said and left from there in anger.
Y/N was finding Minji in hallways. She searched every room. Mina came from other side of hallway. Y/N and Mina crossed each other. Y/N went ahead and heard a crying noise. She listened it carefully.
"Mumma ! Please open the door." It was Minji's voice. Y/N hurriedly went near the door and asked. "Minji ?" Minji was crying. "Y/N sungmo is it you ?" Minji asked. "Yes dear, open the door." Y/N asked. "Sungmo I don't know how I got locked. Please open the door." Minji cried.
Y/n eyes got moist. "Dear, don't cry. Is there a knob inside ? Try and turn it." Y/N said. Minji turned the knob but nothing happened. "I will get you out, okay." Y/N assured. Minji cried harder. It was dark in the room. "Dear, listen to me and sit down. I am also sitting." Y/N said and crouched down.
Minji also sat down. "You know I was going to bring marshmallow to party." Y/n said and Minji stopped crying. "Marshmallow ?" she asked. "Yes. But do you know why I didn't bring him ?" Y/N said.
"Why ?" Minji asked hiccuping. "Because he didn't had a nice dress like you to wear." Y/N said. "Then he would be sad, right ?" Minji asked. "No, he isn't, infact you know that he is sleeping soundly at home." Y/N said making Minji smile.
"We will do one thing. When you come out we will go to shopping. To buy for marshmallow and you. Now tell me what will we buy ?" Y/N asked and Minji started telling her the things she wants to buy.
'I have made her indulge in a talk but I have to get her out somehow fast.' Y/N thought.
