"Bring me patient number 104." The doctor said. The orderlies half carried half dragged the petite blonde girl who was high on tranquilizers to stop her from fighting back. Dr. Mardian Aaron, the name tag placed neatly on his cheap mahogany desk right in front her line of sight. Her hair was messily sticking out of the ponytail one of the female orderlies put it into over her face. "I am Dr. Mardian Aaron but you can call me Mardian, we will talk together a lot. Do you know why you are here?"Ruby looked up from staring intently at the name tag and looked at the 40-something year old man sitting across from her behind his desk; she adverted her gaze from him and held her hands up staring at the circular marks around her wrists from the cuffs they used to cuff her in the hard bed. "Ruby?" He said her name and she flinched when she heard her name, as if she only realized his presence in the room. "Where are am I?" She asked in her sweet soft voice and tilted her head to the side. "You are in Eastcliff Sanitarium. Do you know why you are here, Ruby?" Dr. Aaron repeated the question. "How long have I been here?" She asked as if she did not hear his question and looked at him through half closed eyes as she waited for his reply."Two weeks." He answered. She didn't say anything and instead starting picking on the half removed nail polish on her semi long nails."Ruby, I need you to tell me why you are here." He told her.She looked up at him through her lashes, her hand kept on picking off the nail polish. "Because you believe I killed someone?" She said it in a questioning manner."That's right, more than one person for that matter." The doctor said."But I didn't kill anyone. Okay, I won't lie, maybe one person." Ruby held one finger up and chuckled when she finished the sentence then slid to the edge of the seat in a sudden movement which made the orderlies move closer until the doctor told them to stay back. "But he made me do it." She whispered gripping the seat hard."Who made you do it?" He asked her in the same calming voice and she went completely silent again. "Look, I am here to help you or you will go to jail for life. You are one of the top 10 in your class in Criminology. That doesn't help you, Ruby." "I didn't do it. I didn't kill all those people." She said as a kid who has been caught single-handedly stealing candy."Then who did it?" He leaned closer in his seat resting his elbows on the desk."Do you have music on this recorder?" She changed the subject pointing to the recording device placed on the edge of the desk."Ruby, who did it? If it wasn't you, then who did it?" Next she was playing with a strand of her long blonde hair pulling it from one hand to another. "He made me do it, I didn't want to hurt anyone." She pouted."Who is he? If you tell me, I could help-" The doctor started. It was like a switch flipped inside of her, she jumped on her feet interrupting the doctor's sentence. "He made me do it." She screamed and slammed her hands against the doctor's desk. "He made me do it, I didn't want to hurt anyone." She kept on repeating the two sentences in a scream, the two orderlies rushed towards her and pulled her arms behind her back to retain her from hurting herself or the doctor. "Take her out now and give her a dose of B-52, we will do this again later." The doctor ordered the two male orderlies who was trying to drag the still screaming Ruby out of his office. The young female kicked around trying to break free from the hard grip of the men, she pushed the chair she was seated on earlier using her legs due to how hard she thrashed. One of the orderlies pulled out a syringe that had the medicine and injected it into her system. As she slipped into a sleepy calm state, she whispered: "You have to believe me, he made me do it. I didn't want to hurt-".
