"I don't care, I want this done by next week Miss Faith or you will be failing this class", said Mr. Tall with a barely hidden smirk.
"Yes sir",Camille said through clenched teeth and roboticly walked out of the classroom . She resisted the urge to slam the door on her way out.
This was unfair. She had gotten her leg broken last month and couldn't attend class but was expected to hand over and summarised version of last year's GDP reports. This was how thing were always for her. She was behind on rent and so many other things. She would have to cut on groceries for next month if her was going to keep her tiny appartment.
Her parents Mr Samuel Faith and Daisy Faith had passed away in a robbery gone wrong. Her relatives had somehow twisted things to get everything her parents had and she was too young to understand or stop want was happening.
She put on her earphones and put on some songs on her old , cracked up phone. It was mirical it was still working.
She walked towards the subway station , trying to focus on the lyrics to calm down why calculating the hows and when's she would have to complete her assignmentment . She grimaced as a slight pain in her leg remined her if her injury.
She glued herself to herself to her phone screen, trying to zone out the world.
"Your Warrior is ready for evolution"
The game notified her. I small smile crept it's way on her worn out face . This was the best news she had received all day.
Then there was a push, her head turned slightly right and a blaring of a white blinded her and then all was black .

Awaken
Awaken, little one. Her vision returned back to her, and the words replayed in her mind. ,the soft voice caring a paternal touch .Mist swirled in every direction, yet not close to her. She sat on a carpeted floor, her legs crossed. Gradually, she raised her head and surveyed her surroundings. Mist was all around. Beyond the fog, all she could make out was a tall shadow.
"Don't be afraid, mortal"—what the fuck? Even though she didn't want to, she felt peculiarly at ease and serene, and her heart, shockingly, didn't burst out of her chest while her neurons raced at a million miles per hour. "Who-who ar-are y-" she summoned the confidence to say, but she was silenced.
"I am Beiruvoi , The Great God Of Demons and you shall be my first Apostle" .
Her brain failed. His speech sounded like vapor and mist, and then she heard the words, then their meaning, and then their implication.
The words hung in the air, heavy with meaning. Her mind raced, trying to comprehend the impossible. A God of Demons? An Apostle? Her world, once ordinary and mundane, was shattered into a million pieces. This has to be some kind of hallucination maybe the side effects of somekind of anaesthesia, yeah that must b-
"No , this not he side effects of any kind of medicine, You are dead in every mortal sense of the word" , his words set of a cold cagged around her brain. She felt her eyes heat up and her vision blurr with a familiar warm liquid.
"But , fear not for you are now my Apostle and I shall make sure your life is nothing short of magnificent" Apostles?Yeah he did say something like that.
