Chapter 167 - The Great Victory at Stone Ridge Mountain Part 1

TN:WARNING PLEASE READ MENTION OF CHI@D GRAPE AND P@D@PHILI@ FOR CHAPTER 167 to 177 MOSTLY RELATED TO THE CHARACTER BOWEN

Bowen: Nash, kid, from now on, Stone Ridge Mountain is all yours. Militech sent over another batch of goods today.

Nash: Wow, that's awesome, bro! Now that we've connected with Militech, we're gonna be rich!

Bowen: Well, you've earned it, chasing those Aldecaldos all over the place like that.

Bowen: Anyway, that land is yours now. Do your job well.

Nash: Haha, you don't even need to say it. That drone is fantastic. Though those two idiots were a bit useless, I'll definitely do better if I handle things myself.

Bowen: You can do whatever you enjoy, just don't kill everyone, understand?

Nash: Why not? Shouldn't we go all out?

Bowen: Don't ask, just listen to me. Chase them around, kill a couple to report back to Militech, and that's it.

Bowen: If you see any kids, make sure to capture them for me.

Nash: Got it, boss. I'll get you the best of the bunch.

At Stone Ridge Mountain, Nash, newly inducted into the Wraiths, rubbed his hands together as he prepared to open a crate. The crate had large letters printed on it: Militech.

Nash: "Oh baby, you've really made it now. Even Militech is sending us gear..."

A woman with a blue mohawk, clearly also a member of the Wraiths and seemingly close to Nash, stood by his side.

As soon as they spoke, they started passionately making out.

Woman: "Mmm... baby, this is just the beginning. Let's see what goodies are inside."

Nash: "I'd rather see your goodies."

The woman grabbed Nash, and his cyberware buzzed to life.

Nash: "Ahh... that's the stuff!"

Mixing business with pleasure, Nash injected himself with a dose of drugs and, at the peak of his high, opened the crate. Inside was a sleek, beautiful rifle with a matte finish that exuded a certain allure.

Nash: "Haha, look at this beauty. Fires two rounds at once..."

He picked up a magazine from the crate, which had a biohazard warning printed on it.

Nash: "... and it's poisoned too!"

Nash lifted the rifle and excitedly fired it out the window.

Bang!

The electromagnetic rounds struck the wall outside, startling one of the guards. The impact point began to corrode due to some kind of chemical reaction.

Nash: "This is amazing!"

After some unspeakable activities, the mohawked woman lifted her head, swallowing what she had in her mouth.

Woman: "That was amazing!"

Nash: "From now on, babe, I'll be wiping out anyone with this gun. Let's give it a name."

High on drugs, Nash grew even more excited.

Nash: "I'll call it Widowmaker! Haha! I love widows—kill the men, and f**k the widows—yeahhh!!"

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Nash maniacally pulled the trigger, lighting up the darkening sky with streaks from the electromagnetic rounds.

Jackie: "Are these idiots seriously shooting, trying to make sure everyone sees them?"

As the sun set, the electromagnetic rounds became clearly visible, and the Aldecaldo convoy could spot the gunfire from Stone Ridge Mountain's small town. Jackie Scratched his head, confused.

Cedric: "You can't view the Wraiths with normal logic. They're the lowest of the low in the Maelstrom gang. Who knows, they're probably high."

Cedric: "By the way, if you see that guy—Bowen—make sure he dies, and make sure it's painful."

Jackie: "Do you have a grudge?"

Cedric, holding a handgun: "Yes, a big one."

Jackie: "Got it. What's our plan?"

The question was directed at Leo

Leo's answer was simple.

Leo: "Drive straight in, then shoot everything!"

Vroooom!

Engines roared as the Wraiths looked up. The sound of the engines grew closer—

Wraith: "Aldecaldo convoy!"

Boom!

The convoy surrounded the town, rapidly charging in from all directions!

A Wraith had just started shouting when they were riddled with bullets!

Leo: "They're all near the bar. Maintain suppressing fire!"

The MK31s unleashed terrifying firepower, heavy machine gun bullets ripping into concrete and leaving grotesque holes in anyone they hit!

The Wraiths scrambled for cover, but drones had already locked onto their positions!

Four machine-gun-mounted trucks drove in from different directions, completely cutting off any escape routes!

Within seconds, the crisscrossing web of bullets wiped out all the Wraiths standing outside!

A Wraith sniper perched on a rooftop froze in place. His stimulant injector automatically kicked in, calming him, and he turned to aim—

Bang!

V: "Sniper down. Panam, I got him."

Panam: "Damn, why are the ones on my side so cowardly—grenade!"

Boom!

On another rooftop, a grenade exploded, spraying a mess of flesh and limbs everywhere.

Leo glanced at V: "You and... this Panam, you sound pretty familiar?"

V looked slightly suspicious but still replied:

V: "We didn't exactly get along at first—met her when we were rescuing someone. She's got good aim, I like her."

Leo: "You're pretty chummy. There are still people inside."

V: "We going in?"

Leo looked at the bar—

There were probably four or five people inside, but it was eerily quiet.

It might be dangerous to go in on foot.

Leo: "We've got plenty of grenades. Let's toss a couple in and see what happens."

Inside the bar, Nash was struggling to pull up his pants, hiding behind a wall and breathing heavily, terror in his eyes.

Twenty seconds earlier, he'd been shooting his gun with one hand and having fun with the other.

Now, everyone outside was dead, and only five terrified Wraiths remained inside the bar.

Woman: "What should we do, babe?"

Nash, his brain fried from the drugs and fear, violently pushed the woman's head back down toward him.

Nash: "Shut up and keep going."

Woman: "Mmff—"

Nash: "I've got an idea. I'll count to three, then we'll all fire at once and test their strength—one, two—Oh no!!! Grenade!!!"

Boom!

He barely finished counting when the grenade exploded. A Wraith who had peeked out the window fired his gun once before his head was vaporized by the bullet storm.

At the same time, a woman with a blue mohawk leaped out of the second-floor window—

No one could tell how she had jumped, but by the time her body hit the ground, it was already in pieces.

Smash!

The remaining Wraiths tried to flee through different windows!

But the Aldecaldo encirclement wasn't going to let them escape.

Two of them were instantly shredded, their cybernetic enhancements evident—even one of their hands clung to a car door as half their body lay nearby.

Still, one of them managed to escape—a very fast individual with advanced Sandevistan implants, so fast that even Leo's drone had trouble keeping up.

He jumped into a car and sped off—

But Leo had let him go on purpose.

Leo's expression was odd: "That guy looked like he was high, and... his pants were only half on. Follow him—he'll lead us straight to their base."

V: "Only half-dressed?"

Everyone on the channel had odd looks on their faces.

That kind of style was a little too avant-garde, even for them.

Leo: "Not sure, I'll keep checking... Anyway, follow him, and make sure your magazines are loaded—I'm talking to the rookies."
