-Haruka POV-
"Mr. Auclair, go out with me." Levi Ackerman said that bluntly. Is this guy crazy? First, he asked me to sleep with him, and now he's asking me to go out with him! What on earth is happening here?
"Mr. Ackerman, if you're looking for someone to just play around, I'm sorry that person is not me. Would you like me to find you one, sir?" I said to him without even looking in his direction. I had enough for today. What happened with him today? Thanks to him, I feel like I have lost my appetite to eat.
"What did I do to have you say something like that towards me, Mr. Auclair? You don't believe me?" Seriously, this guy is asking me that question? How could I believe him when he's been sleeping with different people every weekend? It doesn't matter if they are male or female, and he also just had sex with one of the clients today.
"Seriously, sir, you're asking me this now. You've been sleeping with different people every week, and after these 2 years of me working with you, you're saying you like me now? Out of the blue. Who would believe you?" Yeah, it's been two years, and suddenly I'm remembering the first time I met this guy in front of me.
-Flashback 2 years ago-
Today is the day of the interview for the candidate who wanted to be Levi Ackerman secretary, the CEO of Ackermqn Group Travel & Entertainment and Managing Director of Ackerman Group. I'm just trying my luck here, as the Levi's younger brother, Louis Ackerman, recommended this job to me. There are so many people who want to be hired here that I wonder if I might get the chance. Well, Ackerman Group is a really big company, so it's worth it for me to try.
"Mr. Haruka Charles Auclair, you may come in." A woman's voice calling my name woke me up from my daydreaming. As I stood up, I could hear people talking about me because I'm from the Auclair Family. Lazy enough to care about that, I just made my way to the interview room.
Sitting in that room are the great Levi Ackerman and Lauren Ackerman, if I'm not mistaken. Lauren Ackerman is his cousin, who is now in charge of the fashion brand at Ackerman Company. Looking at him in person, he's more handsome, just like his brother, Louis.
"Well, have a seat, Mr. Auclair." Levi Ackerman spoke with his husky voice, and without wasting time, I took a seat in front of him. Well, just imagine what an interview room looks like.
"So, Mr. Auclair from Auclair Family, I was wondering why you're not working as a doctor at Auclair Family Hospital? You finished your studies in medicine before, right?" As expected, that will be the first thing he will ask. Well, everyone always asks the same thing, and I'm getting tired of it.
"Let's just say my passion is not in the medical field, sir." And that's always the same answer I give to people.
"Okay then. So, I'm going to ask you, you saw the requirements for this job, right? You think you have all those things in you?" That should be one of the questions during the interview, but I could sense that this guy wanted to ask me more than that.
"Well, I'm confident in what I'm capable of, and I do think that I have all the requirements in me. I speak fluently in many languages, I manage my time wisely, I have my own fashion style and I'm pretty confident with that, I can talk with people confidently so I can work with everyone efficiently, I'm good at working with computers and all, and I'm good at memorising things in a short time, and I'm smart enough." I don't want to brag more about what I'm capable of, so I just told him what was necessary for the company.
"You sure have great potential, Mr. Auclair. Looking at how confident you are and why you do not apply for jobs in other countries, I heard the companies in the US were dying to hire you as an employee. Even your IQ is higher than mine, 250, right?" He said that, and I could hear Lauren Ackerman gasp there. Well, Levi Ackerman may be the smartest in the Ackerman Family but I'm smarter because, if I'm not mistaken, his IQ is 235.
"Born with a high IQ may be an advantage to me. About working in other countries, I'm not interested in that, so that's why I'm here today. As you already said, many companies wanted me, so why would I be here wasting my time to have an interview if I wanted to work in other countries? Well, I'm sorry for being rude, sir. I understand if you're not going to accept me if... Before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off.
"Okay, Mr. Auclair, from now on, you're my secretary and also my manager. You can start working tomorrow."
"Are you sure about that? I heard many rumours about you, so I do have some conditions if I am accepted to work here." I said in a demanding tone, I don't care if he's the CEO or even the chairman who cares, if he cannot accept my conditions, then I'll be happy to leave.
"Well, we'll discuss that tomorrow then. I'll accept any conditions but a reasonable one, of course. That's it for today, and you may go. Meet me here at 8 a.m. tomorrow." He said it in a flat tone. Wow, that's easy, I wasn't expecting this.
Okay, enough of this. I'm just telling you guys how I got hired here anyway.
//END OF FLASHBACK//
I look at him, waiting for the answer to escape from his mouth. He's been silenced for over 5 minutes now. I swear, if he's not going to talk, I'm going back home. Well, I did text my driver already.
"Pfft." He laughed. Seriously, did he just laugh after I said all that to him?
"You're right, Mr. Auclair, how stupid I am asking you to go out with me without looking at my own self. Even though it hurt my pride a bit, what happens if I change? Will you go out with me then?" He said confidently that he's really going to change. Seriously, what's wrong with the Director today?
"I think you misunderstood, sir. I'm sorry, sir. Even if you do change, I'm not going out with you. I already have someone I like. I'm leaving first. Thank you for the dinner, sir." I stood up from my seat and got ready to leave.
"Wait, at least let me send you home." He said, grabbing my arm and I shoved his hand gently. Well, I still know how to respect people.
"It's okay, sir. I have already contacted my driver. Thank you for your concern." With that, I left him alone there.
