Chapter 7 - 7

Suddenly, a piercing wail came from the end of the corridor.

Jason Wang's parents had arrived.

His mother rushed over like a madwoman and slapped my mother twice.

"What kind of upbringing does your family have? If it wasn't for that Alex recklessly driving to show off, would my Jason have gotten into a car accident?"

"If anything happens to Jason today, your entire Sue family will have to pay with your lives!"

She was like an angry lioness, hands on her hips, roaring at my parents, "Your son hasn't seen the world and doesn't know better, but you two old fools don't know better either? Why didn't you stop him?!"

I stood in front of my parents, "Auntie, this has nothing to do with my parents, it was my brother's own carelessness."

My mother took a few hits but still defended Alex, "All the good luck of the Sue family was taken by my daughter, we have no luck left! She must have prayed to some evil god at the temple! That's why my son hit your son!"

I laughed in anger.

"Mom, if I had that ability, would I need to work from dawn to dusk to make money?"

"You insist that I bring bad luck to the family, but it's because you keep asking me for money, even the Heavens are angry."

Jade was speechless.

Grandma asked, "Is this true?"

Seeing Grandma's unpleasant expression, Jade quickly hid behind Henry.

Jade defended herself, "I just wanted to ask for a car for my son, that's why I said that.

I was paving the way for him!"

Henry chimed in from the side, "Mom, Jade is just thinking of our son."

Seeing Henry's timid appearance, I couldn't help but shake my head.

Grandma was so angry that she turned her face away, unwilling to look any further.

Seeing this, Jason Wang's mother's anger subsided slightly, but she turned her spearhead towards Sophia, "Sophia, when it comes down to it, this is all your fault.

If you hadn't bought a car, your brother wouldn't have taken your car out for a joyride!"

She then turned to Sophia's parents, "You too, you spoiled your daughter.

What kind of girl in her thirties isn't married? Spending lottery money on mansions and luxury cars all day, enjoying herself, and not even giving her brother a car when he asks for one?"

After saying that, she gave Jade a meaningful look.

Grandma looked at Mrs.

Wang in shock, as if the other party wasn't speaking human language.

"Mrs.

Wang, Sophia winning the lottery was her luck, and how she wants to spend it is her freedom.

Besides, Sophia not getting married is her own business, we don't interfere, what right do you have to meddle?"

Grandma was usually gentle, but this time she was clearly truly angry.

Mrs.

Wang's face turned ashen at these words.

I quickly pulled my parents back.

But after hearing this, Mrs.

Wang wasn't angry.

Instead, she suddenly put on a smile and said to Jade, "In-law, it just so happens that our Jason doesn't have a girlfriend either.

How about this, let's forget about today's incident and just consider it a fateful encounter between the two kids."

Mrs.

Wang's eyes gleamed, "Although Sophia is a city girl who's been spoiled and is older, my Jason doesn't mind."

Mr.

Wang also chuckled, "That's right, if the two kids get together, we'll be one family, and we won't pursue the car accident.

But if your family refuses, then we can only let your son go to jail!"

I couldn't believe my ears.

Not only was Jason Wang ugly, but he was also a genuine thug who spent his days idling around.

From fighting and brawling to gambling and debt, he even had a history of petty theft.

He was absolutely the worst person I had ever seen.

I would rather never get married than marry such scum.

Grandma couldn't take it anymore, "What nonsense are you talking about? What era is it now, and you're still trying to force a marriage?"

Hearing this, Jade was unhappy and pulled Alex aside, whispering, "What does your grandma mean by this? Does she not want to save you?"

Alex also became anxious.

"Grandma, how can you say that? Sophia's car was in an accident, shouldn't Sophia take responsibility?!"

"Besides, if Jason Wang really ends up disabled and can't find a girlfriend, what then? Wouldn't it be nice for my sister to date him?"

Grandma was so angry that her hands were trembling as she scolded, "Alex! Have you lost your mind? You crashed your sister's car like that, and instead of compensating her, you want your sister to marry him?"

Alex stiffened his neck and said, "Grandma, all you know is money! Money isn't the issue, didn't Sophia win the big prize? The key is the other person's leg.

If it really becomes crippled, what will he do for the rest of his life?"

Mrs.

Wang also immediately seized this point and started wailing, "That's right, if my Jason really becomes crippled, Sophia will have to marry him whether she wants to or not!"

I was so angry at this absurd conversation that my head hurt.

"Alex, are you sure the insurance company will compensate? Don't forget, you stole the car keys and took the car out without permission."

"If I report that the car was stolen, not only will you not get compensation, but after paying for the car repairs, you'll also have to go to jail!"

Jade's crying abruptly stopped.

Her eyes darted around, and she suddenly laughed.

"Sophia, when did your brother steal your car? Do you have evidence?"

"I think you were the one driving and just want to frame your brother!"

I felt a wave of nausea.

I had never seen anyone more shameless than my own mother.

I was momentarily at a loss for words, not knowing how to refute her.
