As we entered Rachel's apartment, I could feel the tension in the air. She was sitting on the couch, looking vulnerable and helpless. Alex immediately went to her side, and I felt a pang of unease.
Rachel started talking, her voice dripping with drama. She claimed she was in danger, that someone was stalking her. Alex was completely absorbed in her story, and I could see the concern etched on his face.
