Chapter 169 - Side Story - 9 - I'm What Now?

Cole's Point Of View

I was sitting in the clinic with Sylvester, as he held Tristan in his arms. Tristan had barely slept or eaten in the last 48 hours. Not for lack of trying however, he just couldn't keep anything down, and spent his nights puking.

After we had come here two days ago, Khali said that she wanted to run extensive tests to get the best results. So we had to wait two days.

Sylvester told me what was wrong with Tristan last night, but I could hardly belive it. We had been extremely careful every time, so it seemed a bit unfair to punish Tristan in such a way.

I was hoping that it wasn't true, and that Sylvester was just jumping to conclusions. But when I woke up today, Tristan smelled completely different. I was forced to accept the truth, and the awful reality of our carelessness.

"Well Tristan. I'm finished with all the tests now." Khali said, walking up to us slowly.

"Am I dying?" Tristan asked, worried.

"No, not quite. It's honestly the opposite. You're pregnant. Congrat–"

"Wait a minute! I'm what now?!" Tristan exclaimed.

"Yep. Though you aren't too far along at the moment. So you have options. But after running all the appropriate tests, that is a confirmed fact." Khali said, nodding.

"Hold on. That can't be possible, we were always care– Ugh.... Fuck! Damn it Bellamy! I guess the pills didn't work, huh, Sylvester?" Tristan sighed.

"Yeah... That's what I'm thinking too. They did inject you with a stimulant of sorts. I'm sure that played its part too." Sylvester said.

"Ugh! I'm going to be sick!"

"No wait! Please use a trash can, Tristan!" Khali said, jumping to her feet immediately.

Tristan released the contents of his stomach into a trash can. Sobbing uncontrollably. I felt like shit, my chest hurt, and I wanted to cry.

'I'm not even sure how to help him with this...'

Tristan's Point Of View

I was a mess. I was pissed off, irritated, sad, and nauseous. I couldn't believe my shitty luck. It was like, the more I tried to not let something happen, the faster it happened.

As I emptied my stomach into a trash can that Sylvester was holding, Khali offered me a bottle of water. She looked sad and curious at the same time.

"I get the feeling that this is not welcomed news. Due to the severity of the other day, I had my office cleared out with the exception of Stellah. But could you tell me what is bothering you to such a degree?" Khali asked.

"My children, they will have an awful life. No matter how well we take care of them... this cursed genome of mine will be passed down to them. I do not want to give my children that sort of life..." I groaned.

"Tahlia is your child as well, is she not?"

"Yes, she is. Though, I didn't personally birth her. Why?" I asked, confused.

"I've been meaning to tell you this, but it's been a crazy few weeks. Tahlia is an Alpha. She's not an Omega. From what we can gather about you and your 4 siblings, your genome is very easy to mold. Delcain said, that the facility would give you guys injections for the first few years of your lives, is that correct?"

"Yes, I think they stopped around the time we turned 4 years old."

"They were shaping your DNA with those injections. Kaihsie is a Beta. I suspect they never completed the injection process for them, so they naturally developed into their 2nd genders."

"So there's a chance that this child won't be an Omega?" I asked, hopeful.

"Yes. Your Alphas each have strong genes, so its a toss up. But even if they are an Omega, they will not be just like you. They will not have your constitution. They will have a strong sexual allure. Mating with them will be a permanent decision. Their mate will become impotent for anyone else. And their pheromones will be as strong as yours. But that's about it."

I couldn't believe what she was saying. The facility had basically been forcing our 2nd genders onto us. It was unfair as hell.

"Now, don't get me wrong. Childbirth is scary. But pregnancy can be fun, if you let it." Khali chuckled.

"What about sex?" Sylvester asked with a serious pout.

Khali huffed in his direction, then rolled her eyes.

"No sex for the first two months. The baby is still developing, and the less stress the body is under, the better. Also, this morning sickness will last about a month. You must find a nutritional supplement that you can keep down. Not eating is NOT an option. Your mate's should help you try anything. Start with fruits. No citrus though. If your body rejects it, it'll hurt twice as bad coming up."

"Ugh... okay..." I agreed.

I had tried to eat the last two days, and nothing stayed down. My whole body was sore from throwing up too much.

"What about his fatigue?" Cole asked.

"That too, should last for only the first month. Your body is trying to prepare itself, for the company it's about to host for 10 months. Sleeping is the easiest way to help that happen, because your organs are also in a calm state as well." Khali explain.

Suddenly her office door flew open, scaring almost all those present. Sylvester seemed to know what was going on, and just chuckled.

"Sweet Gods on high, Ferdinand! Surely there is a better way to open the door! I nearly fainted, asshole!" Stellah yelled.

I too, had nearly jumped out of my skin. I could only assume that Sylvester had text him the news earlier.

Ferdinand walked up to me slowly, looking worried and hesitant. When he stopped in front of me, he held his hands out... But then quickly dropped them to his side.

I smiled at his awkwardness.

"Did you finish your tasks?"

"Yes, Tristan. Though I can go over all of that information later. How are you feeling?"

I smiled and held my arms out for him, and he picked me up immediately. He breathed me in deeply and sighed.

"I'm sorry. I'm so so sorry. We will do whatever you wish to, about all this. What do you want to do?" He asked, rubbing his cheek against mine.

"I'll keep it. You can come off of punishment now. Bellamy can come off of punishment, when he's finished too."

Ferdinand looked at me, shocked. Then laughed boisterously, as he squeezed me tighter.

"S-Stop! Or I'll throw up!"

"Ah. Sorry. I'm just really happy. Can I sleep with you guys tonight?" Ferdinand asked, looking entirely like a puppy begging to come back inside the house.

'Jeez! That pout isn't fair at all. So adorable!'
