Chapter 110 - Chapter - 110 Finish The Mission

Santiago's Point Of View

"What do you mean you can't reach them? How is that possible!?" I yelled.

My team consisted of Jehferee, Pawden, Darhven, Lahnsen, and Rehdgie. We were currently trying to break down the office door, but it wouldn't budge. To make matters worse, when we reached out to Bellamy and the rest of the home team, no one was responding. Jahcobe was responsible for unsealing the doors, but it was becoming blatantly obvious that that probably wasn't going to happen.

It was troubling that we couldn't reach them at all. I had a terrible feeling about all of this. I began to loose patience and grabbed the shot gun from Lahnsen. I aimed at the glass, then fired two rounds at it. The glass splintered into many cracks, but it didn't break. Next I picked up a chair in the office and began to slam it against the window.

"Hey guys I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I'm pretty sure I hear people in the tunnel..." Darhven said, running up to us.

"All groups be advised, the N.A.F. has joined the fray. They are not friendly, and multiple tanks have been spotted..." I heard Aidehynn say into the COMs.

"That's probably them in the tunnels. Everyone get ready." I called out.

"Boss, can't we use the knock out gas in the tunnel?" Rehdgie asked.

"Yeah! Use the C4 on the door. Once it blows, we use the gas in the tunnel. We just have to fend off the attackers until the demolition team is ready, right?" Darhven added.

"Demolition team, can you do it fast without killing yourselves?" I asked.

We had intended to use it to bring down the entire facility once it was emptied, we didn't account for being under pressure.

"We got this, Boss." Lahnsen chuckled.

I had relayed our situation to the others. Ferdinand and Sylvester were no doubt losing their minds over the news. But we all had jobs to do and we needed to see them through at all costs.

"Okay. Masks on! Lahnsen, Pawden... Get it done. Everyone else will buy them time. Show no mercy! If their numbers become overwhelming, we will release the gas. Stay in formation, and don't break position. No matter what!" I asserted.

"Sir, yes sir!" They all replied in unison.

Jehferee, Darhven, and Rehdgie followed me back into the tunnel. Darhven and Jehferee knelt down and aimed up at the incoming assailants. Rehdgie and I stood above them, shoulder to shoulder and aimed as well.

We had left Zachariah's 10 men outside to deal with anyone who might come at us from behind, but it was clear that the numbers were too overwhelming for them.

"Boss...?" Rehdgie groaned, as the number of men coming down the tunnel quickly surpassed our motley crew.

"It's fine. Let them come. If they hesitate to shoot that's even better... We are stalling for time and nothing more." I whispered back.

Everyone subtly nodded in agreement and waited on bated breath for the ensuing fight. I couldn't quite understand why, but for some reason I felt eerily calm.

"Darhven, pop smoke. Let's make them hesitate a bit longer. Everyone, stay low." I said.

Darhven and Jehferee laid flat on their stomachs directly after Darhven threw the smoke grenade. Rehdgie and I then knelt after them. We could hear the N.A.F. team slow their progression a bit, as they worried about the smoke.

It was good timing too, because Lahnsen and Pawden came in behind us with big smiles on their faces, but they were clearly covered in sweat. Pawden gave a thumbs up with the detonator in his fist, and I gave a firm nod.

"Masks on. Jehferee, gas. Pawden, once gas has been laid, blow it." I commanded.

Everyone slid their masks onto their faces firmly, and one by one tapped the face of their masks with their palms, twice. After they each signaled their readiness, I nudged Jehferee. He silently launched two gas bombs into the smoke.

Then, Pawden gleefully smashed the detonator button. As soon as pandemonium resounded in front of us, the entire cavern shook from the explosions behind us. It was clear that they hadn't just put the C4 around the door.

Everyone turned to face Lahnsen and Pawden in wide eyed shock. Meanwhile they did everything they could to avoid direct eye contact. I let out a deep sigh, and headed for the office. We didn't need to waste time with the N.A.F. anymore, since even if they held their breaths the gaseous powder would seep into their skin and have the same effect.

When I opened the door to the office, the entire wall that the other door had been connected to, had been blown away. Once again, everyone looked over at the two nut jobs in disbelief.

"We couldn't risk it not working. So we took the whole wall out instead." Pawden shrugged.

"Master, me and my team are in. The N.A.F. soldiers were knocked out with sleeping gas. What are your orders? Do you need help?" I said into our COMs.

We were supposed to free the Omegas, but my master's life was more important. I waited for a reply as we headed for the other offices.

"Hey, this is Bennhayzin, come free us. This fucking door won't budge! How the fuck did you even get out? The damn glass is practically bullet proof!" I heard in reply.

I could see him doing exactly what we did, which was banging a chair against the splintered glass.

"We blew up the wall..." I replied.

"W-Wha...? How come we didn't get explosives?!" He whined.

"Pawden. Just apply it to the hinges this time, would you?" I asked.

He nodded and got to work, albeit reluctantly. I then walked over to Hastings office door and tried the knob. It was also sealed shut.

"Lahnsen..." I called.

He immediately got to work putting the C4 on its hinges as well. The rest of us walked up the ramps heading for the first floor.

"Bennhayzin, get into the tunnel and wait for my call. Hurry." I said.

"Understood!" He replied.

"We're ready!" Pawden and Lahnsen yelled.

"Bennhayzin, are you secured?" I asked.

"Yes. Let's fucking do this!" He eagerly replied.

"BLOW IT!" I yelled.

"5... 4... 3... 2... 1..." Pawden and Lahnsen counted down as they approached us.

Lahnsen blew his first, since it was further away. Then Pawden blew his as he quickly approached the ramp. The explosions crescendo throughout the hallway in a fierce harmony.

"All clear, Bennhayzin." I said, walking back down the ramp to see the gaping holes in the walls.

"Seriously, I want explosives damn it!" Bennhayzin yelled, walking through the hole.

"Boss, you can't set C4 though... you'd blow yourself up for sure..." Pawden said, exasperated.

"What do you think you're here for?" Bennhayzin retorted.

"Different teams, different means Boss." Pawden shrugged.

"Haaah... Whatever, we'll go help Ferdinand and Co. you all go release the Omegas." Bennhayzin grumbled.

"Here Boss. If you need to retreat, throw these and get out of there. We don't have extra masks, but that shouldn't be an issue if everyone makes it to the office first." Pawden said, handing Bennhayzin two knock out bombs.

"Thanks. Now get going." Bennhayzin asserted, as he jogged towards Hastings office.

We made our way upstairs and met up with Tohrque and Tahlburt. They had convinced the Omegas that they would be rescuing them and taking them to a better place. They hadn't been exaggerating, the pheromones on the first floor were suffocating.

"Waihlynn, we don't have many exits to use... in fact I'm pretty sure we don't have any but the front doors left. Please tell me you've regained control out there." Tohrque said into the COMs.

"Well, unless you can knock out about 30 men were screwed. Hollehen took out all the tanks. But the foot soldiers have us pinned." Waihlynn replied.

"We have about 4 knock out bombs left. Should we use them?" Pawden asked Waihlynn.

"If you could spare them that would be great. But how can we make them effective outside like this? The wind would carry it away, no?" Aidehynn replied.

"Don't worry. It's a gas, but it's a powdered gas. It's thick enough to stick. We need a place to put about 150 or so Omegas though..." Tahlburt replied.

"We got an 18-wheeler we can use for the time being. I'll have Sherion back it up to the door once you've dealt with the N.A.F." Waihlynn said.

"Understood." Tohrque replied.

"So we are missing some Omegas. They said the women and children were held down on the third floor." Tahlburt said.

"Okay. Lahnsen and I will go clear out the third floor. Everyone else, assist Waihlynn and free the Omegas." I replied.

Everyone nodded in agreement and began to work as a team to finish the mission. Lahnsen and I headed down to the third floor. It was shrouded in mystery, even for us. It had selective cameras that used covers when they wanted privacy. We opened the first door and found scientists cowering in the corner.

"If you value your despicable lives, you'll leave this place. Pray that someone will have mercy on you, this place will be reduced to rubble soon." I said.

Even though I didn't agree with their methods, ultimately they were just doing as ordered to get a paycheck. They most likely wouldn't make it past Tohrque and the others anyway.

The next door had about 5 pregnant women in it. We allowed them to gather their things to get ready for departure. Lucky for us the Omega women told us there were 20 Omegas on this floor, comprised of women and children. They also informed us of the rooms of depravity.

Once the women and children had been accounted for, I had Lahnsen escort them upstairs to the first floor, while I did a final sweep of the last three rooms.

The first two rooms were empty, save for some chains, torture devices, and computers. The third room was frigid as hell and it sent a chill down my spine. I didn't see anyone inside and the bed was empty. As I turned to leave, I heard a soft groan behind me.

"Is someone in here?" I called out, as I entered the room fully.

I couldn't believe my ears at first. The room was so cold I was certain the room was used to hold cadavers and not live human beings.

"H-Help... Me..." I heard a soft raspy voice fill the air.

I searched the room and found a boy, strung up on the wall behind the door. His skin was pale, and his lips were blue. But his beautifully serene green eyes held me transfixed. For a moment I couldn't even breathe. It didn't even register that he didn't even have clothes on. He had been strung up, and left for dead.

I quickly freed him and wrapped him in a sheet. Once we left the cold room, he curled into my chest and breathed deep. His purple and brown hair practically glistened in the light. His features were absolutely breathtaking.

"Thank... Y-You..." He groaned.

'Ah... Fuck me... I'm in trouble... He smells fucking amazing...'
