Chapter 96 - Chapter - 96 Where Do I Even Begin?

Aidehynn's Point Of View

My stomach was in knots, and I couldn't calm my restless nerves to save my life. Waihlynn and I had been standing outside the conference room with Sébastien, Cauhldaire, Nehzer, and Ozvehrt behind us, for a while now. We were debating on an excuse, as to why we were even here to begin with.

We hadn't been summoned by Zachariah, and we probably shouldn't be interfering with whatever was happening inside, but my impatience and stubbornness wouldn't allow me to turn back now.

Suddenly, the door opened up unexpectedly, and out came a man I had seen standing behind Lyukhe at the meeting. He gasped in shock upon seeing us, then cooly chuckled.

"You might as well go inside if you've made it this far, and are privy to the occupants inside. I must warn you however, that if you are here in opposition to Tristan or his mate's, you will regret entering that room." He said, then walked past us as if he had never spoken to us at all.

Having no other choice, Waihlynn knocked on the door. Zachariah's butler, Jaymehsyn, opened the door, and his eyes widened.

"May we come in?" I asked, nervously.

Jaymehsyn nodded, before opening the door wider to allow us all inside. Once in the room, we all came to an abrupt stop. The room was filled to the brim with an amalgamation of pheromones that instantly made me shudder. I could tell that my brother and our men were having difficulty with the pheromones as well.

"Waihlynn, Aidehynn... Why have you come here?" Zachariah asked.

"W-Well Sir... We heard that Ferdinand and his mate never made it home. I was wondering if there was anything we could do to help... And I was also hoping... to ask Tristan some more questions... if he was willing to spare me a moment of his time..." I replied, hesitantly.

"You said you had a facility similar to what Tristan was asking for, no?" Zachariah asked.

"Y-Yes, Sir. That is correct..." I replied, trying to catch my bearings.

"Then I will allow you to stay. Only if you all take one of the suppressants in this box on the table. I will leave it up to Tristan, on whether or not he will indulge you with your questions however. Now may not be a good time, you see." Zachariah replied.

We nodded, and then accepted the syringes from the box that Jaymehsyn had picked up and proffered out to us. I didn't understand why we would need a specific suppressant to attend this meeting, but I was willing to do anything to have a discussion with Tristan. So I didn't hesitate nor waver, as I injected the syringe into my body.

Waihlynn watched me inject myself first, before he and the others injected theirs as well. Then, Waihlynn and I took the seats offered to us by Jaymehsyn, next to Gaibe.

The suppressant worked extremely fast, and made the oppressive pheromones much more bearable. I looked up at Zachariah in wide eyed disbelief. I desperately wanted to know where he had gotten these suppressants from.

Suddenly the room was filled with muffled chuckles, and I felt like I had just embarrassed myself in front of my fellow Kings.

"Yes, those suppressants are far superior in their strength and efficacy. They were made by none other than the owner of B&G Pharmaceuticals. His name is Bellamy, and he is currently standing to Sylvester's left. He is also one of Tristan's mates." Zachariah explained.

I stared at the man Zachariah had pointed out, in shock and awe. His regular suppressants and inhibitors far surpassed the other leading brands, and I was a stout patron of his products. I felt like I was in the presence of a famous celebrity, and I became even more nervous than before.

"Tristan, are you up for a friendly discussion with Aidehynn about his facility?" Sylvester asked.

"It's fine... I could use a good distraction right about now..." He murmured.

"Then, Ferdinand, Lyukhe, Bennhayzin and I will go and question Rahzden, while the rest of you have your discussion, then. Gaibe, are you willing to create your own stand-alone facility as well?" Zachariah asked.

"I'm still debating. Honestly, it sounds like a major hassle. It's not a bad suggestion, in theory. But it will be a lot of extra work. I'd like to hear about any successful stories however, so I'll stay." He replied.

"Right. Jaymehsyn, you stay behind and ready the contract. Give Tristan a piece of paper so he can write down all the rules and regulations that he wants for the facilities, and we will write out the formal contract later." Zachariah said.

Jaymehsyn nodded, then left the room to retrieve the things he would need. I was momentarily stunned to know that Tristan was going to make the rules and regulations. Moreover, I was concerned about the mention of a contract.

"Meyhymn, Payhne... You guys will come with me. Sylvester, Cole, Bellamy... Stay here with Tristan and the others, okay?" Ferdinand said.

"Sure thing." They replied in unison.

Soon after that declaration, Zachariah, Bennhayzin, Lyukhe, Ferdinand, and their men left out of the room, leaving the rest of us alone to hold our discussion.

"I apologize for encroaching upon your meeting..." I said, solemnly.

"Think nothing of it. It needed to be done sooner rather than later, and this is probably the only time that we will be able to do it safely for a while." Sylvester replied.

"If you don't mind me asking... What happened...?" Waihlynn asked.

"Danhiel ambushed us in the sky on our journey home. He also had men storm Ferdinand's family home, burned it to the ground, and abducted 4 of our people." Sylvester replied.

Waihlynn and I stared back at them in shock. Danhiel was being far too audacious in his attempt to capture Tristan. It was an immense shock to the system. I immediately felt sympathetic to Tristan and his situation now, more than ever.

"I'm sorry to hear that..." Waihlynn said, apologetically.

"I would rather not think about it right now, if I can..." Tristan said, softly.

"Well, let's help take your mind off of it then." Dyahlettah chimed in.

She seemed to be holding back her fierce emotions, but I could tell she was exceedingly pissed off, and immeasurably sad for Tristan.

"Could you... tell me more about your facility, Aidehynn...?" Tristan asked.

"Ah, well... Where do I begin...? I wanted to create a facility that my father could be proud of. My father was good friends with Charles WhetStone, Danhiel's father... They shared similar beliefs and interests when it came to Omegas. My mother was an Omega. She had grown up in this world before the Alpha reproduction crisis had occurred, so her life wasn't as bad as it could have been. My father loved our mother fiercely, and when the Alpha reproduction crisis began, and the treatment of Omegas became worse... He wanted to find a way to help the country at large, treat Omegas better... like the olden days." I explained.

"Around the time of our coming of age, our mother became terminally ill. Our Father worked tirelessly together with Charles, to find a better way for Alphas and Omegas to peacefully coexist. Unfortunately, their ideas were ahead of their time. The country of Delgahtowe did not care much for the treatment of Omegas. They began to see them as a means to an end and nothing more. Alphas all over began to treat Omegas as merely property to be owned, used, and controlled. It was around that time, that Charles devised a plan to build facilities to rehabilitate Omegas." Waihlynn began to explain.

I hadn't really thought about it before now, since my brothers never stuck around long enough to listen to our father's tireless ramblings about a better future. But I was now realizing that Waihlynn had listened well enough to know what our father had really wanted.

"He started with two facilities. One in Demhongade, and the other in Delgaide. The goal was to give Omegas the proper education that was wrongfully taken from them. He also wanted to give them career choices other than the Adult Entertainment Industry. They were minimally successful... That is until our father became terminally ill... Then a few months later, Charles also became ill. No one spoke of what illness Charles had, they only said that it was fatal and he was living on borrowed time. After our father died 5 years ago, we didn't see Mr. WhetStone anymore. Rumors spread that he was bedridden, and that his wife, Lady Chastaine, would be taking over the production of the facilities in his stead. As you can no doubt imagine, she had already been making moves to reform the facilities that she could, beginning with Delgaide. I can't say for certain, but I suspect it was around the time that information about your successful creation was announced." I said.

"All the facilities being sponsored by Charles received word of your birth... but since you had yet to be fully tested, we had our doubts and reservations... They never told us anything beyond your successful creation, and they never told us what your second gender test results were. So as the years went by we just assumed that it had all been nothing but false confidence. Or that Director Kahrmazin had jumped to assumptions and was too embarrassed to admit it. So it became an out of sight, out of mind scenario..." Waihlynn added.

"As you can imagine, seeing you in person and knowing that it wasn't actually lie, was quite the shock. I had wanted to grant my father's wishes any way that I could, so I had secretly built a facility that honored what he wanted most. In my facility, Omegas are given a proper education, and given a choice in career paths. Since the knowledge of the harsh discrimination of Omegas in Delgahtowe is widely known, most of the Omegas never want to leave Ash'Burhrowz. So they find proper small jobs within the Duhtchy and live quiet peaceful lives." I said.

Tristan looked at me curiously, and then at Waihlynn. He looked to be in deep thought before he finally spoke up again.

"But then why did you hide your facility from your brothers?" He asked, quizzically.

I swallowed audibly... Something told me he wouldn't like the honest answer I would have to give him.

'I just hope it doesn't ruin my chances of getting him to agree to help my facility prosper...'
