Santiago's Point Of View
"Okay, it seems the fires have all been put out." My right hand man, Lahnsen said.
We had been putting out the fires for almost two hours now. It made me hate our attackers with a passion. We had just gotten the new house for the extra manpower we were about to receive, now it had all been for nothing.
"Okay. Rohlander, Dahnnie, and Tysse... You guys will be in charge of the retrieval from the lab and getting the cars you all might need. We are going to head for Demhongade, post haste." I replied.
The men looked up at me in shock, and I couldn't help but chuckle. They had no doubt assumed we would be staying here to guard the group. I would have agreed to that plan, had I not been such a petty man. My master would no doubt go after the men that abducted those children, and I was duty bound to protect him.
"Sir, is it wise to leave them like this...?" Rehdgie asked, looking around the group clearly nervous.
"It'll be fine. Jehstine, Ahtlan, Trayce, Brahnsen, Cohrey, Syhlow, and Brahnnon will be here within the next hour. I've made arrangements for them to take over protection detail, and escort the main force back to StohneGarrdin as soon as possible. They are bringing the attack Helos we had stashed away in Sa'Ryne. The 7 of us will go to our master's side." I replied with a smirk.
"You've been busy I see, Santiago." Keihffer chuckled.
"Well in my defense, they were already heading this way. I just had them make a detour to get the Helos, to get here faster. Since most of Ferdinand's men are out of commission, I think it's time that we step up to the plate. I didn't want to step on any toes while we were here, since this isn't our master's home. However, Tristan is our Master's mate, and his siblings are a part of our family now. So we are duty bound to protect them all. And besides, be honest... What sounds like more fun? Staying here and babysitting the young and wounded, or getting revenge on the assholes who stormed our home, abducted our family, and tried to wipe us out?" I asked, with a mischievous grin.
"Hahaha! Let's go get some payback, boss!" They shouted back in unison, laughing uproariously.
I couldn't think of a more dedicated bunch of Alphas that I would want to storm a castle with. Unlike Ferdinand's faction, Sylvester's faction was predominantly Alphas. For the safety of his mate, we had hung back in the shadows for as long as possible. I wasn't sure if Ferdinand was keeping his men in the loop, with the full details of their situation. But Sylvester had told us nearly everything, so as to not make us think we were no longer necessary in his circle.
Since we were a group of about 20 men and women, with 14 of us being Dominant Alphas and 6 of us being Betas... He had told us that while we were still his family, and he would always need us by his side... His mate was extremely susceptible to strong pheromones, the same was true for his mate's siblings. So he didn't want us to swarm his mate and cause an irreversible disaster.
With Jehstine, Ahtlan, Trayce, Brahnsen, Cohrey, Syhlow, Keihffer, and Brahnnon taking the defensive position here. Lahnsen, Rehdgie, Dyahgeo, Hollehen, Nashsten, Tohrque, and I would be going to meet up with Sylvester. Leaving Lehvi, Kaohri, Mahntyl, Dahven, Yehvyn, and Lauhdenn back at Sa'Ryne to handle all of the administrative work.
We hopped onto the four wheelers that we had, and headed back to the guard house. Benjahmin and Zaire were standing guard, outside the house.
"Did you guys get it contained?" Zaire asked, nervously.
"Yeah. The fires are out. We let Rohlander, Tysse, and Dahnnie call the shots with the retrieval of the lab and getting the cars you guys might need. Where is Raihne?" I replied.
"He should be with the kids and Bellamy's family, in the library. Go in, head straight back, and turn left. It's the third door on the right." Zaire replied, looking noticeably less tense.
I nodded in thanks, then began my journey inside. Just as he said, you could hear a lively discussion being had in the library room. Jasper and Rohan were standing guard outside the door, and glanced up at us, upon hearing our approach.
"It's done, then?" Jasper asked.
"Yeah. The others are still there, no doubt debating on how to salvage what they can. They might need extra hands, but who can say? They seem like quite the reliable bunch." I replied.
"You here to talk to Raihne?" Rohan asked.
"Yeah. I need to inform him about a change of plans." I replied, stepping past them with my men in tow.
As soon as we entered the room, the conversations and small chatter died instantly. It would be comical, if not for the grim looks on everyone's faces. I walked up to Raihne, and Lahnsen pulled up a chair for me. I accepted the chair, and sat directly in front of Raihne.
He looked at me with a mixed expression of worry, and grim acceptance. I had to hand it to him and his brother... They were basically living legends, and they looked fearsome even when injured and wounded.
"What's the status of our situation...?" He asked, breaking the tense silence between us first.
I took a surveyed glance around the room, and noticed 5 new faces among the women and children gathered. I raised a questioning brow at Raihne.
"Who are they?" I asked, before getting down to business.
"Ferdinand's men from StohneGarrdin, and The Golden Lion. That's Belladohnnis, and Justus. I called them in for extra security... Justus was here for a bit before, but after the ATF debacle at the casino, he went to lend a hand there for a bit. The others are Cassiuhs, Hahvyn, and Yohsev. They were already in route to come here, but they arrived too late for the party." Raihne replied, with a sarcastic hmph.
"I see. Well is it alright if they step out while we have our discussion...? No disrespect but, the less people who know, the better. The kids can stay, since this involves them. Meahlene and the other women can also stay, to further help with the kids... Also, because this involves Bellamy, as well." I said.
"Sure, it's fine. In fact, since you're back, I assume the fires have all been extinguished....? Since that's the case, I want you 5 to go assist Rohlander, Tysse, and Dahnnie. Grab as much as you can from the lab. There is a retractable door about 15 steps from the left side of the house. Open it by pushing the black button on that same side of the house. The button is partially hidden by bricks, so you will have to look for it. Get the vans out of the garage and load them up as much as possible. The keys will be inside the glove boxes of each van. The door closes automatically after 15 minutes of being opened, so work fast to get in and out. You cannot open that door from the inside, and I'm certain the other exit is currently blocked. Do you understand?" Raihne asked them.
"Yes, Sir." They replied in unison, before heading for the door.
"Rohan, close the door. Don't allow anyone to enter, unless we are under attack again. Or an equally important situation has transpired. Understood?" Raihne yelled towards the door.
"Understood. Likewise, please holler if you need us." Rohan said, before closing the door with a dutiful nod.
"Alright. What's going on...?" Raihne said, heaving a tired sigh.
"I've decided that we 7 are going to go and assist Sylvester with the rescue mission." I said, sitting up straight.
Raihne, Sable, Delcain, Joobehlee, Meahlene, Nahana, Odehssa, and Reah each looked at me in wide eyed disbelief. I had to grit my teeth to keep from laughing.
"Why would you cut our security detail so drastically?" Raihne asked, looking mere seconds away from exploding angrily.
"I'm not. I called in some back-up. Jehstine, Ahtlan, Trayce, Brahnsen, Cohrey, Syhlow, Keihffer, and Brahnnon will be here within the hour. They will take over the security detail. They are also bringing two attack Helos, to help transport the wounded, the young, and anyone else not needed to drive the vehicles back to StohneGarrdin." I replied, calmly.
My reply seemed to knock all of the fight out of Raihne, instantly. He relaxed back onto the sofa he was currently sitting on, and Sable leaned into his side. Raihne let out a deep shuddering breath, and faced me once again.
"I never thought the day would come, where I'd be relieved that Sylvester's men were counted amongst our family's ranks. Thank you, Santiago.... Seriously..." He sighed.
"Well if you guys are going, then Odehssa and I will go as well." Meahlene said, handing Tahlia to Nahana.
"It's much too dangerous, Meahlene..." Raihne replied.
"Don't tell me what's dangerous. You have no idea how pissed off I am. Those detestable beasts dared to touch my grand baby, and nearly killed the others. On top of that, I have the skill set to even the score. I will not forgive a single bastard who has harmed, or otherwise scarred, these children. They will come to fear their arrogant stupidity by the time I'm through!" Meahlene said, eyes glowing a bright blue.
"We have strong Alpha women among our ranks who outclassed some of the men. Jehstine, is one such Alpha. So I have no complaints. I will take full responsibility in ensuring their safety... and incurring Bellamy's indubitable wrath." I chuckled.
"Alright fine. Just... Be careful. Do what you can to protect Ferdinand too, if at all possible." Raihne relented.
"Odehssa, pack everything we will need, quickly. Ask Rohan were they keep their weapons." Meahlene said.
"Sure thing." Odehssa replied.
Then she handed Kaihsie to Reah and walked out of the room, closing the door behind her. I glanced back at Raihne, and noticed he was looking more and more emaciated. The events of the day were definitely taking their toll on him.
"How will we be traveling?" Meahlene asked.
"I had the others come in two separate Helos. We will leave as soon as they arrive." I replied.
"Good, we will make excellent time, then." Meahlene nodded in acceptance.
"Does Sylvester know you are coming?" Raihne asked.
"No. I'll call him en route. He would no doubt make me stay behind, if I called him now. But we are duty bound to protect our master no matter the cost. His mate and family members are no exception." I replied.
"Yeah. I know what you mean." Raihne replied, looking over Tristan's remaining siblings.
*Knock... Knock... Knock...*
"Raihne, the guys are saying two large helicopters are landing in the front yard." Jasper said nervously, as he opened the door slightly.
I stood up and immediately walked towards the door. I looked back at Raihne, who replied with only a nod.
"I'll keep you posted on the situation, for as long as I can." I said, before heading out the door.
Meahlene also followed close behind. Odehssa was walking back towards the room with an oversized duffle bag slung over her shoulder. Nashsten took the bag from her, and then placed it onto his own shoulder.
We headed out the front doors and noticed Rohlander, Tysse, and Dahnnie pulling up on their four wheelers, with their guns drawn. I quickly waved them down so they could be at ease.
"These are Sylvester's people. They will take over the security detail here." I said, when they finally reached us.
"Okay... We just saw the helicopters and got nervous..." Dahnnie sighed.
"Tysse, give them the bag." Rohlander said.
Tysee hopped off his four wheeler, and extended a heavy bookbag to me. I opened it up, curious to know what was inside, but it's contents only made me more confused.
"It's something Meyhymn will need... Just make sure he gets the bag, okay? He'll know what to do." Rohlander explained.
I nodded and accepted the bag. Then introduced the newcomers to Rohlander and the others. I advised them to take them to Raihne for introductions as well, and they headed off towards the house.
"Dyahgeo, you fly. Tohrque, you're the co-pilot. Everyone else, grab a headset and get situated." I said.
We all climbed into the Helo, and got seated. I could tell the guys were excited, and ready for a war. I couldn't deny the fact that I too, was excited to get my revenge as well.
'We will be there soon master... Then, we will return the favor, tenfold... We will make sure those bastards never take another breath again...'
