Chapter 25 - Chapter - 25 Panicked Pandemonium

Bellamy's Point Of View

I was startled awake by a pounding on my door. I was still tired as hell, but there was an extreme arousal filling my body. It made no sense, considering it hadn't even been 4 hours since I used my suppressant.

*Bam... Bam... Bam... Bam...*

"Yeah! I'm coming! Calm down!" I yelled, climbing out of bed.

'Ugh... someone better be dying...'

I opened the door and Delcain flinched. I felt a little bad for him, but he was interrupting my sleep after pulling one of the most stressful all nighters of my life.

"Del, what is it?" I asked. I couldn't help but notice that he was a little pale and sweating a bit. He seemed nervous.

"Cole sent me a text. Asked me to wake you and tell you to go to the theater as fast as you can. He told me not to come so I'm not sure what's wrong." Delcain said, speaking so fast I could barely track what he was saying.

"Have you seen Ferdinand?" I asked.

I quickly put on pants while waiting for his reply. The deep need to screw Tristan was becoming more ominous, the longer I was awake.

"I haven't seen him, though I haven't really left my room much." Delcain replied.

I immediately headed to Ferdinand's room, the door was cracked open. After opening his door wider, I stared in shock while Delcain gasped in horror.

Ferdinand's room was in disarray, and it was heavily saturated in his pheromones and he wasn't even in it. The ominous feeling intensified. I realized this deep seated arousal was not mine, but Ferdinand's.

"They were right. Don't go up there. In fact, if you see Meyhymn send him to the theater ASAP." I said, taking off up the stairs.

Everything about this situation rubbed me the wrong way. Sure, we wanted to find a way to knock the big guy out at night time, but what the hell did we do about him during the day?

I reached the third floor, and noticed Sylvester and Cole standing in the doorway of the theater, unmoving.

"What the fuck are you guys doing? Where's Tristan?" I asked, walking up to them.

Cole pointed a shaky finger into the room and I looked past them annoyed. They were acting like they had witnessed a murder.

However, my annoyance quickly died. They certainly had seen a murder, and 9 out of 10 chances it was their own. Ferdinand looked absolutely terrifying, the worst part was that the theater smelled exactly like his room, and Tristan was asleep in his arms.

We still had a little over 36 hours until the mating cycle was triggered, but it looked like Ferdinand might not last that long. I moved Sylvester and Cole out of the way, and they both grabbed each of my arms. As soon as I crossed the threshold of the room, a low growl emanated from the room. Sylvester and Cole both shook their heads no, but we didn't have a choice.

"Look asshole, you're not the only one mated to him. Also, have the decency to recognize your damn friends, you feral bastard. Nobody wants to fucking fight you, but if Tristan wakes up, you're going to scare the hell out of him... And newsflash idiots, if Tristan wakes up and Ferdinand sees his eyes we loose!" I said, exasperated.

Tristan's eyes were damning for multiple reasons, the main one being that no matter how he was feeling, or what he was saying, they looked like windows into his soul. As if to tell us his true desires without words.

Even with the suppressant I wanted to obey his eyes, like some kind of abnormal hypnosis. While washing him in the bathroom I remembered reading that his DNA was spliced with certain animals. Most specifically with Seywohlven and Dovelace Beast's DNA, eyes that lure in prey, life long mating/bonding, strong pheromones, alluring sexual prowess, and above all else his body was given monthly injections of Hyper-Dominant Alphas and Omegas pheromones for the first 4 years of his life.

The information in his files was alarming, but also terrifying. The death count made much more sense after looking at the splicing records.

Even with my statement Sylvester and Cole didn't move an inch. It was clearly up to me to defuse this situation.

"Ferdinand, what's up buddy? What is it that you want to do? You can't screw him here, you know that right? So what's the plan? You just trying to trigger his heat with your pheromones?" I asked, trying to reason with him. The closer I got the worse my arousal became, and his pheromones and aura were giving me a splitting headache.

He slowly blinked, cocked his head, and then his pheromones flared harder. They were becoming oppressive and overwhelming.

"Fuck... Is he serious?" Sylvester mumbled.

I took another step toward Ferdinand staring him right in the eyes. I made a promise, and I'd be damned if Ferdinand himself made me break it. He wasn't growling anymore, but he also wasn't going to put Tristan down. I doubted he'd let me inject him with a suppressant either.

"Hey. What's going on? Del said Bellamy needed my– Ugh! Ferdinand's pheromones are so damn strong! Why?" I heard Meyhymn ask.

I turned to look at him, and his eyes widened in shock. I could understand, the situation was anything but good. Meyhymn walked into the room, unafraid and seemingly unaffected.

"Bro? What the hell is going on with you? I thought you didn't want to hurt Tristan? Do you think he'd want you to fight his other mates? Do you think his body is telling you to ignore his requests?" Meyhymn asked, as if scolding a misbehaving child.

Ferdinand's eyes flickered, and he finally stopped staring holes into us, and looked down at Tristan. I could feel his waring emotions so strongly, I unintentionally took a step back. They were physically painful.

When he looked back up at us, everyone collectively gasped. Who could blame us? We'd all known each other basically all our lives, and in that time shared many hardships. However, never in those years had any of us seen Ferdinand cry, but here he was eyes flickering with tears in them, threatening to spill over any second.

"It will be alright brother, you just have to put him down. Bellamy made a pretty strong suppressant that will help you take the edge off. Will you try it?" Meyhymn asked.

Ferdinand blinked and his tears fell freely. Unfortunately, they fell onto Tristan's face and startled him awake. He slowly blinked up at Ferdinand confused, and my heart sank as Ferdinand's eyes glowed a solid gold once again.

Delcain's Point Of View

"What's wrong my little squirrel?" My mom asked me.

"Nothing, just can't seem to get out of my head. We really need a back up plan for Ferdinand. The tranquilizers won't be strong enough, or nearly as effective. They said he took 5 government grade tranquilizers, and still bit a guys throat out." I sighed.

"My... how terrifying... but you need only to make Tristan see reason first. He's the only one who could calm his Alpha down. That is why I had Bellamy focus on suppressants for him. The tranquilizers were a plan B of sorts, to slow Ferdinand down or temporarily halt him from driving Tristan over the edge. If Tristan looses his reasoning too and gives in to the lust, there won't be any way to stop Ferdinand without knocking him out." She replied.

After what I witnessed today, it was beginning to look like Tristan was more or less giving up faster than he previously would have. I chucked it up to him being mated now, but he was putting up no resistance anymore when it came to his arousal.

He was starting to rely on his Alphas more, which wasn't bad if he were a normal Omega. The issue was that he was anything but normal, none of us were. I worried about Kaleb and the girls for the exact same reason. We were not counted amongst the average Omegas.

Somewhere along the way, Tristan had forgotten that fact. It might feel like a relief to rely on one's Alphas, however, our bodies drove our Alphas to ignore all logic and reason. To listen to our bodies and nothing else. To relinquish control like this, Tristan must have been more tired of fighting than he had let on.

"Del, it will be fine. Tristan is not a weak boy, you know that. He can be stubborn, and lazy, but he can also be the voice of reason when all other words fall silent."

"Right. Thanks mom. I'm not sure how to help them, but it feels like I owe him so much. He really sacrificed a lot for us, we should try to return the favor." I replied.

She was right, Tristan was always strong at the strangest of times, and could talk a man out of his wallet and keys. I had to find a way to protect him within 48 hours, and I would do it for my naive older brother, without fail. I left my room and headed for the first floor, and then I ran into Meyhymn on the stairs.

"Hey Del, the others are eating breakfast downstairs if you want anything." He said.

"No, me and mom ate in my room. Thanks though. Um, do you have any free time later?" I asked.

"Hm? Maybe... I have to take the Omegas to their new home, and install cameras for the babies. But thats about it... why?"

"I just need a few minutes of your time when you get a chance. OH! Also Bellamy said to go to theater room as fast as possible. I think they might need help with Ferdinand." I said.

He tensed up immediately, he had the same look on his face as Bellamy did this morning, after seeing Ferdinand's room.

"Right I'll go right away. Thanks!" Meyhymn said, making a dash towards the stairs at the end of the hall.

I turned around and headed for the girl's rooms, I was going to need their help as well...

Tristan's Point Of View

I had fallen asleep alone with a pounding headache, but I had woken up not alone in the slightest. I was in Ferdinand's arms as he stared down at me, his eyes glowing a fierce solid gold. He was crying, and his unrelenting lust for me, his anger, and his sadness washed over me in waves. Most alarming was the erection pressed against my spine.

"Ferdinand, will you really not put him down?" I heard Meyhymn ask.

I felt Ferdinand's arms tighten around me and his lust flare harder. My entire body was heating up every minute spent in his arms being saturated with his pheromones. It was as if his body was trying to coax my body into surrendering.

I looked towards the door and could see the rest of my Alphas and Meyhymn. Sylvester and Cole were in the doorway, Bellamy was a row or two away with Meyhymn. They were all in pain, and terrified. I finally understood why they were so adamant about me not being alone with Ferdinand. It wasn't that they feared for my safety, it was more out of self preservation and fear of the unknown.

It was as if they didn't know what to do once he finally had me, Ferdinand had the power to sway them all if he got too out of hand. I couldn't deny that my body craved it all the time, I could feel my body slowly surrendering to Ferdinand's pheromones right now, but if I surrendered the others would surely join, and I would pass out before any of them were satisfied.

I looked up at Ferdinand and felt him growl deep in his chest. It was ridiculously sexual and wholly unfair. The textbook definition of playing dirty. My body shuddered at the sensual look he was giving me. I wanted it, I wanted him, and my body was heating up faster in response.

"Your eyes are so beautiful, Tristan. They speak even if your lips do not." Ferdinand said, lowering his face to the crook of my neck and breathing me in.

I ran a shaky hand through his hair, I could tell he was really trying hard not to scare me, but also that his emotions were fighting amongst themselves inside him.

"Ferdinand? Would you like to watch my show with me? My head was hurting really bad so I laid down for a bit. It doesn't hurt anymore, so if you want we can watch them together... unless you're busy." I said, holding his head tighter to my body.

The more he looked into my eyes, the more I wanted to just allow him to do whatever, but the fear from the others was keeping me composed for now.

"Just me?" He asked.

I could tell he was totally pouting, like a child who knew he was in trouble.

"Ah... well... I don't think we can be trusted alone together. If you want to know, honestly, I'm sore all over. So if I surrender here, you could unintentionally hurt me, and I know that's not what you want, right?" I asked.

"I don't want to hurt you... but I don't want to let go either." He groaned.

"But Ferdinand... it's Thursday... you promised didn't you?" I asked.

"But... It's... unbearable..." He groaned.

"You're being pretty mean Ferdinand. I don't like it, it's scary you know?" I said, reaching for Bellamy's coat.

I rummaged through the pockets locating the two injections. I wasn't sure if they would work on him but it was worth a shot.

"I'm... I'm not scary... I just... can't help it... I want it... I want you... your eyes... they tell me you want it too..." He replied, kissing and biting my throat.

"Well you're right. I do want it. I want you too. But I won't make it if I allow that, it will feel as if I'm back at that facility and no one is listening to what I mentally want and need." I said, tears forming in my eyes.

I knew none of them had bad intentions, but forcing me to do something like this and then saying my body made them do it is exactly what they would do and say at the facility. It would be too much for me.

Everyone sucked in a sharp breath and stared at me in shocked horror. Even Ferdinand was looking exceptionally unwell. I put his head back into my neck and ran my fingers through his hair.

"I know you have no bad intentions, but it's how I would feel. They would do things to me and blame it on my body. I know that if you made me feel that way too, the guilt would eat you alive. I don't want to hurt you either so..."

I raised the injections high enough to check the colors and stabbed the green one directly into his neck. He sprang up in alarm, and looked down at me, confused. His eyes weren't as vibrant anymore so it at least took the edge off like Meyhymn had said.

"What the hell was that?" Ferdinand asked.

"Just a suppressant. Bellamy made them." I said, beaming a proud smile.

"They are strong as hell! Did you take one too?" He asked.

"Yeah I can feel your arousal and smell your pheromones, but there isn't an all consuming need to be ravaged." I said, placing my hand on his cheek.

"Haaah... well that's good. Your body called out to me like you were in pain. When I found you, your nose was bleeding even while you slept."

"Thanks for helping me... can you make more popcorn?" I asked, looking up at him.

"Please don't look at me like that. I'm trying really hard not to take you right here in front of everyone." Ferdinand sighed, covering my eyes just like Bellamy had done.

"I can't help that, I just want some popcorn with the caramel seasoning. Will you not grant my wish?" I asked.

Ferdinand heaved a heavy sigh, but ultimately agreed and sat me down. Only then did the others rush into the room and check on me. It was pretty funny, but also worrisome. They were just as helpless dealing with Ferdinand as I was.

"Hey how're you holding up? The suppressant is still in effect right?" Bellamy asked.

"Yes my big mad scientist. I suspect that if it weren't, I would have absolutely caved. That was too much..." I groaned.

"What do you mean?" Sylvester asked.

"I felt like he was going to eat me for sure!" I whispered, embarrassed.

"I can hear you, and I still want to. Don't tempt me." Ferdinand said, while adding popcorn to the machine, not even turning around.

His declaration sent a shudder throughout my body, and unintentionally turned me on at the thought of him consuming me.

"Tristan... seriously. Do. Not. Tempt. Me." Ferdinand gritted out.

"It's your own fault! And stop thinking so deeply about my subconscious. You didn't need to know that!"

"Haah... the closer I am to you, the easier it is... it wasn't intentional." He replied.

"What's happening right now? They're having a conversation, but I can't track what the heck they're talking about." Meyhymn asked.

"I'm guessing what Ferdinand said was a subconscious turn on for Tristan, since I otherwise have no idea either." Sylvester answered.

"Ah, it must be true, he's embarrassed now." Bellamy chuckled.

"Is this fun for you guys!? You all seem to be having fun at my expense a little too much lately! Stupid bond... stupid dumb Alphas... stupid stupid emotions!" I huffed, hiding under Bellamy's lab coat.

Suddenly everyone's phones started to vibrate and chime. I peeked out from under the coat to see what was happening, and Sylvester's eyes went wide.

"Good Gods Meyhymn, what have you done?!" Sylvester exclaimed.

"What is it?" I asked worried.

Ferdinand came back with my popcorn and sat it in my lap, while picking me up and placing me in his lap.

"It's fine, I told him to. So what did you come up with Meyhymn?" Ferdinand said.

"Omegas wanted to assist with the Alpha crisis, but later killed when their efforts bore great fruit. Creation of sub par Omegas on the rise after their death." Meyhymn chuckling.

"Seriously?" Cole asked, sitting down next to me.

"Yeah, I leaked some notes about Tristan's generation of Omegas and compared them to the younger ones, also there were about 10 betas born after Maybelline was killed... they were killed as well however, so that information was listed too. The death rate after Maybelline was killed nearly quadrupled." Meyhymn shrugged.

"I'm guessing she had Tristan's file secured like that so they couldn't repeat the process. His genome breakdown would give them everything they need. Honestly looking at it was terrifying. His spliced DNA would have a lesser man running for the hills. Saturday is going to be a tad bit nuts... for everyone. Tristan may go into heat, but due to that we will be in a perpetual rut-like state as well. If he suffers, we suffer. So don't over do it Sylvester! Ferdinand just try not to kill us, okay big guy?" Bellamy said.

"That's not what goes through my head when I'm around you guys. In fact it's the opposite and I hate it..." Ferdinand replied, squeezing me tighter.

"What do you mean the opposite?" Cole said.

Ferdinand turned red in the face and looked away. Everyone present gasped and took a step back, while Cole stood up and put distance between us.

"Your body... does it become like mine? Just wanting release?" I whispered so only he could hear me, while rubbing his cheek.

His embarrassment was a new feeling for me. However it also worried me because if my body is calling him, and his close proximity to me makes him channel me physically too. Then who does his body call out to? And then I remembered what Delcain said, that they couldn't get it up for anyone but me and whoever they shared the bond with. Suddenly his connection and control over them took on a much deeper meaning.

"Oh... I see, you don't have to answer. I understand now..." I said, giving him a kiss.

"Is that how you feel when you are in heat?" Ferdinand asked softly.

"More or less. It's maddening right?" I asked. Ferdinand nodded.

"No, no, no. I want to know too." Bellamy said with a glare.

"I'm sure you'll all get a little firsthand experience with it within the next 5 or 6 days. It will make sense later." I said, as I continued to eat my popcorn.

They would no doubt try to lock Ferdinand up or tie him down for the whole cycle if they knew, and that wouldn't be fair to Ferdinand. It wasn't like he could help it any more than I could.

Sylvester's phone began to ring and he stepped out. Cole sat back down suspicious but still wanting to be near me. Bellamy on the other hand...

"Well look, the crisis has been averted and I'm tired as hell, so I'm going back to bed." Bellamy said, heading for the door.

"Bellamy? The suppressant... for Tristan... did you make more?" Ferdinand asked.

"Only a few, I wasn't sure what kind of effect they would have on Tristan so I tried not to make too many. There are two more on my desk, Sylvester or Meyhymn can get them if you need them." Bellamy replied, walking out the room.

"I'm going to go check on the Omegas... they were eating breakfast." Meyhymn said.

I looked over at Cole, he was nervously fidgeting but not saying anything. I looked up at Ferdinand and he nodded. He then placed me in between them both and kissed my head. I, in turn grabbed Cole's arm and rested my head on his bicep.

"Cole do you want to watch some TV with me?" I asked.

"Just me?" He asked, looking just as Ferdinand had.

I couldn't help but laugh loudly, it was always funny to see them act like big ass kids.

"Ferdinand is welcome to stay too, though I'm not sure he would want to." I said, looking back at Ferdinand.

"I want to..." He mumbled.

"Hahaha! Yay! Okay movie marathon or TV series?" I asked, laughing.

"I'll watch whatever you want to watch." They said in unison, and then glared at each other.

I grabbed my sides and burst out laughing harder. They were so adorably hilarious.

"TV series it is, then." I laughed.

I queued up the series I was watching before and turned up the volume a bit. Then I put my legs across Cole's lap and leaned against Ferdinand. I tried not to put much of my weight on to Cole due to the wound on his thigh, but he subtly moved my legs higher up his thighs in the end.

We watched the series for a few hours, finishing an entire season. After finishing a season we watched an action thriller movie. Before I knew it 4 hours had passed, I was getting bored of watching movies and TV. So I suggested playing in the arcade. They happily obliged.

As we walked out of the room, we ran into Meyhymn.

"Hey, the Omegas are packing up. They will be gone within the hour. Jaihlah, Luhnah, and Soona would like to work as staff members here. Would that be okay?" He asked.

Everyone looked in my direction. I couldn't deny that I didn't really want them to. I didn't want to chance running into them, but I also knew they weren't the malicious type.

"Where would they sleep?" I asked.

Ferdinand took my hand and walked into the arcade room. He opened up a window and pointed to a long one-story house about 20 or so feet away.

"We don't have a large staff, most commute from home, but at times when they can't, or for the ones who don't have a home, they stay there. It's only women there, to separate them from my men." Ferdinand said.

"What will they do?" I asked.

"Well Luhnah wants to learn how to cook, Jaihlah said she wanted to look after Joobehlee and the kids, but Soona wanted to help in a medical way if she could..." Meyhymn said.

"I'm looking into getting an on site doctor. In the meantime, check with Bellamy and see if it's okay that she study under him for the time being. If not she'll need to go to Sylvester's house until our doctor gets here." Ferdinand said.

"Understood." Meyhymn replied, walking out of the room.

"Tristan, are you okay with that?" Ferdinand asked, no doubt feeling my hesitation and annoyance.

"Yeah, it's fine. Can't have the twins and the kids take care of the babies all the time. And it's not that I don't like them, it's just... they are a constant reminder of that place. I don't want to keep talking about the facility or old memories, but it will always happen with them because it's the only thing we have in common." I said.

Cole gave me a hug and then Ferdinand wrapped us both in his embrace. It was comforting as hell, and I was really grateful that they understood and didn't pry. Soona in particular would probably have a hard time acclimating to her new situation, and I couldn't deny I didn't want to be the shoulder she wanted to lean on.

"Tristan... not to sound like that guy but, your pheromones are getting stronger." Cole said.

I stiffened immediately, I used my suppressant on Ferdinand and all I had left was the booster. I looked up at Ferdinand, worried.

"I'm fine, I'll just go get them." Ferdinand said.

He let go and headed for the door. Just like with Bellamy, I felt the loneliness sink in with every step he took.

"Tristan, I really will be right back. Please don't feel that way." Ferdinand said, not turning around.

I couldn't help how I felt, I wasn't even sure why I felt this way when Cole was still here, but I did.

"C'mon Tristan, let's play some games while we wait. Do you still want to?" Cole asked.

"Yeah..." I replied, heading to the racing game.

We played a bunch of games, racing, some VR sport games, all the shooter games, and air hockey. By the time we got to a skiing game, I was feeling extremely tired. Even though I had slept for about an hour or so earlier, it was as if I hadn't slept at all.

"Tristan? Are you okay?" Cole asked.

I was feeling heavy and hot as hell. I dropped Bellamy's coat to the ground and leaned against the snow mobile game machine. It felt like I couldn't get enough air in my lungs. I tried to steady my breathing, but panic set in as I felt my arousal rising.

"F-Ferdinand is... taking too... long..." I breathed.

"Yes, I agree... should I call Bellamy or Sylvester? Sorry I'm so useless Tristan." Cole said, rubbing my back.

My vision was blurring and I couldn't stand anymore. I slumped to the ground clutching my chest. Then I put my right hand on my right shoulder over Sylvester's mark. Before I could close my eyes, I heard heavy footfalls coming from the hall.

"What's wrong? What's goi– shit! Tristan what happened? Cole why are you just standing there?" I heard Sylvester yell.

I looked up at Cole, he had put his back against the wall, his eyes flickering. Sylvester rushed in and picked me up immediately.

"Fuck! You're burning up, Tristan. Where's Ferdinand?" He asked, panicked.

"He went... to get... suppressant... taking too... long." I groaned.

"He probably realized he couldn't come back. Tristan your eyes are so bright right now, I can barely stay calm myself." Sylvester said.

He squeezed me close to him, before heading for the door. He stopped to look back at Cole, who hadn't moved at all. I could feel Cole's arousal turn to fear instantly. He looked at us and the fear intensified.

"Ferdinand is coming... hurry!" Cole yelled.

He was right, I didn't understand how I knew, but while the distance between us lessened, his arousal grew exponentially. Sylvester took off towards Bellamy's room at an astonishing rate. The intense jostling did not help my situation, but I could forgive him under these circumstances.

Sylvester basically jumped down all the stairs at once and didn't waste time knocking on Bellamy's door. He immediately opened the door and closed it with his back, then leaned against it.

"What the fuck is going on?!" Bellamy yelled, sitting up in his bed.

"Tristan needs a suppressant now. Please tell me you have some in here." Sylvester said.

All of a sudden the door justled open then Sylvester slammed it closed with his back again.

"Catch!" Sylvester yelled, then launched me towards Bellamy's bed.

The sudden weightlessness stole my breath away. I couldn't even scream. Bellamy effortlessly caught me, and immediately tried to soothe me.

"Look I understand that was a bit much, but I don't have the kind of strength to keep Ferdinand from breaking down your door Bellamy! So hurry up!" Sylvester said, pushing against the door with all his might.

Bellamy injected me with a suppressant, and then looked at me remorsefully.

"That was just a standard one, I doubt it will do much, but you definitely have to fight the urge Tristan. I can't give you another one for at least 5 hours. You'll get sick as hell taking both kinds." Bellamy said, once again covering my eyes.

"Ugh! Fuck! Ferdinand calm the fuck down!" Sylvester yelled, as he was launched across the floor. The momentum of the door slamming open made me peak out of Bellamy's fingers.

The look in Ferdinand's eyes however, made me hide my face in Bellamy's hands. They were such a radiant gold again, it was heart stopping. His lust for me washed over me like a tsunami. I felt my heartbeat quicken and my breathing becoming more ragged.

"Brother, I hate to do this to you, but since you asked I won't let you down." I heard Meyhymn say.

Then I heard multiple suppressed shots, fire one after another. Shocked at the sudden sound of a gun, I sat up immediately and removed Bellamy's hands. Meyhymn fired the gun into Ferdinand's back until it was empty.

I could immediately feel Ferdinand's sadness when we locked eyes, it was overwhelming. As if he understood that even though I wanted him, he didn't want to hurt me. He slowly walked towards the bed, Bellamy tried to scoot further away, but I crawled out of his arms toward Ferdinand.

There was an instinctual feeling that he was going to pass out soon, and that he just wanted to be near me when he did. He collapsed face first onto the bed, his eyes slowly blinking as he looked at me. I felt tears stinging my eyes as his sadness became too much to bare.

I reached out a shaky hand to his face and the sadness evaporated in an instant. He closed his eyes, but didn't open them again.

"I'm... really... sorr–"

He didn't finish his apology, because he had already passed out. I slowly pulled the ten darts out of his back, and laid them on the bed next to him. Everyone around me let out a sigh of relief, but I didn't feel relief at all. I was overcome with grief and sadness.

This incident only showed how overwhelming the up coming week would be, and we still had one more day to go before our cycle even hit. Ferdinand would most likely spend most of it, tied up or unconscious, and it didn't seem fair to him. I pressed my forehead against his temple and my tears fell uncontrollably. I didn't know how to help him, because I had no idea how much worse he would become.

I didn't necessarily want a child, I barely spent time with Tahlia. How could I ever attempt to bring a second child into this world? It didn't seem right, but I couldn't deny the part of me who wanted to let it happen, if only to cut the week of hell shorter. One thing I knew for certain was that I didn't want to spend the week running from Ferdinand and then watching him get shot with tranquilizer darts until he passed out, all day. It was too heartbreaking.

"It's okay Tristan. He asked me to do this. He felt the hunger growing while collecting the suppressants, and before he could even make it back to you his sanity snapped. He told me to tranquilize him, but I informed him that I didn't have enough darts. While getting more darts, he sprinted back up the stairs at an alarming speed. Sorry I was too slow." Meyhymn said, trying his best to console me.

I knew he was just being kind, but he didn't feel the emotions Ferdinand was feeling, and he certainly couldn't feel mine now.

"M-Meyhymn? Could you go get Cole for me?" I asked, not taking my forehead off of Ferdinand's temple.

"Sure thing buddy. Where's he at?" Meyhymn asked.

"We left him in the arcade, he's probably limping his way here now." Sylvester replied.

"I'm on it." Meyhymn said, dashing out the door a beat later.

"Tristan? Are you going to be okay?" Bellamy asked, rubbing my back.

"I don't want to repeat this for the next 5 or 6 days... but what the hell else can we do? I'd rather not feel these kind of emotions every day if I can help it." I said, running my fingers through Ferdinand's hair.

"I don't think there is anything, any of us can do." Sylvester groaned.

"Lady Josephine said the hunger will persist, whether you have sex with us or not. It will be a deep urge to give your body what it's craving. It will basically consume us all day everyday for those 5 days." Bellamy added.

"I just wish I could help you guys. I feel like you're all going to suffer because of me." I said on a sob.

"We'll figure something out Tristan. It won't always be like this. One week every three months won't kill us." Bellamy said.

That declaration sucked the air out of the room. I finally looked up at Bellamy, in complete shock.

"Wait, this isn't a one off? It's going to keep happening? Four times a year?" Sylvester asked, dumbfounded.

"It's a mating cycle. It's the most sure fire time to knock Tristan up. Also, had Ferdinand not completed the link, it would have happened every month." Bellamy replied, exasperated.

I shuddered at the thought. I was more grateful to Delcain and Auntie now, more than ever before. I would surely cave and have multiple children, if I had to endure this crap every month.

Soon Meyhymn arrived with Cole in tow. He looked a little sick but was otherwise fine. His eyes had returned to their natural hazel-green hue.

"Cole, I'm going to eat dinner with you and then go to sleep. I'm really tired, and I didn't want to fall asleep somewhere you couldn't get me up from. Can we eat in your room?" I asked.

"Of course." He said, looking much better.

"Sylvester, Bellamy did we get cribs or bassinets for the girls?" I asked.

"We got both. Cribs are in Kaleb and Sable's rooms. Bassinets are in the playroom. We even got monitors and Meyhymn installed cameras in the playroom and kids rooms." Sylvester replied.

"I'd like to see Tahlia before I go to bed is that okay?" I asked.

"Absolutely. I'll bring her in about an hour is that alright?" Bellamy asked.

"Yes. Thank you... Meyhymn can I ask you for a favor?" I said.

"Sure thing. You name it, its yours." He replied.

"Could you carry Ferdinand to his room?" I asked.

"Yeah. Will do." He replied.

"Thanks guys. I'm sorry for the hassle." I groaned.

"Tristan, there's nothing for you to apologize about. Everything is fine." Cole said.

I nodded, kissed Ferdinand's head and crawled back into Bellamy's arms. I took a deep breath of his scent and sighed. He was right, the regular suppressants weren't nearly strong enough.

"Bellamy when it's time, will you inject me with your new suppressant, whether I'm awake or not?" I asked.

"Yes. Consider it done." He replied.

"Oh, yeah. Here, I brought them up here too. There were only two though." Meyhymn said, handing them to Bellamy.

"Yeah I'll make more tonight. I've gotten enough rest." He said, taking them from Meyhymn.

"Thanks Bellamy. They are much more effective. I can still smell you. And the original one isn't really curbing my arousal either..." I groaned.

"Yeah, your pheromones are still pretty heavy. Cole keep your wits about you okay?" Sylvester said.

I squeezed Bellamy tighter, I didn't want to say what was on my mind. Too many people were around. So I just inhaled his scent deeply instead.
