I was a raging ball of emotions. I couldn't calm down no matter how much I tried. I felt so guilty about the part I had played in all of this. Even though they said it wasn't my fault, I knew deep down that it was.
I was the one who had run away from that facility all those years ago. I was the one who mated with my Alphas, even though I knew that a peaceful life was but a dream. And I was also the one who had suggested creating the facilities in the first place... That decision would probably haunt me into perpetuity...
"There's no point in stressing or worrying about the past, Big Brother... All we can do now is move forward, and try our best to do the right thing... Right?" I heard Kaleb say calmly.
I looked up at the monitor, and my eyes widened in surprise. I hadn't expected to see him during this meeting– and to top it all off– he was currently using my own words against me.
