Chapter 10 - A Mysterious Figure Helped Her

Isabella's voice trembled with guilt, causing her friends to mistake that Skyler had once again bullied her.

"What's wrong with you, coming here to make trouble? Who do you think Isabella is? Why would she take your ring?"

"Yeah, everyone knows you're so poor, Skyler, that you have to resort to selling your body even in college. What valuable thing do you have that Isabella would want?"

"Exactly, even Liam didn't want you. Who do you think you are, still acting like the White family's young miss?"

"Hey, manager, why haven't you kicked her out yet? This kind of low-class woman shouldn't even be allowed in here. She's disgusting!"

Several so-called high-class ladies defended Isabella with their words.

Little did they know that just over a year ago, these same people were vying to flatter Skyler.

Now that Skyler had fallen from grace, they had all turned against her.

However, Skyler seemed to not even hear their insults.

Her clear eyes were fixed on Isabella's face, her voice soft but firm: "Isabella, I'll say it again. Give me back my ring."

"When did I take your ring? I warn you, stop slandering me! Skyler, get out of here, you dirty woman..."

"Smack!"

Before Isabella could finish her sentence, she received a hard slap from Skyler.

She stared at Skyler in shock.

"How dare you hit me!" Isabella exclaimed.

Not only Isabella, but also the other wealthy young ladies who were with her, as well as the other customers in the restaurant, were all stunned.

Skyler spoke firmly and slowly, "Isabella, I want you to return my ring. If you dare to lie to me again, I will give you another slap. You know me, Skyler. I always keep my word."

"You... you little bitch!" Isabella was shocked for a few seconds before she reacted. "What gives you the right to hit me! Skyler, you shameless slut! You hit me, and I'll make sure you regret it!"

Isabella rushed towards Skyler, and the two of them fell onto the sofa.

Sophia rushed in to help her friend, and the other young ladies joined the fray, causing chaos.

"What's going on outside?"

At that moment, a deep and pleasant voice of a young man came from the depths of the restaurant.

"Assistant Moore!"

Seeing the man walking out of the VIP room, the manager was surprised and rushed over, ignoring the commotion.

"Why did Assistant Moore come out? If you need anything, just ring the bell and don't bother him to come personally..."

The manager was in a panic.

The gentleman dining in the VIP room had a difficult personality. Even the slightest disturbance during his meal would cause a commotion in the entire restaurant.

The chaos outside just now had even alarmed the gentleman's assistant, Assistant Moore.

Today, it seemed that everyone was going to be in trouble.

However, the young man called 'Assistant Moore' who had just come out of the VIP room didn't show any signs of displeasure. He just lowered his voice and said something to the manager.

As he spoke, his gaze remained on Skyler.

At this moment, Skyler was being pinned down by Isabella, biting her lip in pain.

When she looked up, she happened to see a stranger, a young man, standing next to the manager.

Seeing that he seemed to be frowning and looking at her, Skyler's heart skipped a beat, and a bad feeling arose within her...

Was he going to kick her out?

After a while, the young man left, and the manager came back panting.

"Enough, stop it all! You guys, go up and pull them apart!" The manager hurriedly directed the waiters to intervene.

After much effort, they finally separated them. Isabella not only had a swollen left cheek, but her hair was also disheveled from the fight. Skyler, on the other hand, had no visible injuries on her face, but her body was bruised from the secret pinches Isabella had given her.

Seeing the manager arrive, Isabella gave Skyler a smug look, with her messy hair in her face.

"Skyler, are we going to be kicked out?" Sophia nervously approached Skyler, grabbing her hand.

She had also seen the man coming out of the VIP room, which was not open to ordinary customers. The people inside were probably not people she, a second-generation rich person, could afford to offend.

Skyler pursed her lips and remained silent, but she held Sophia's hand tightly, her palm sweating profusely.

Just then, the manager approached them with a serious expression.

"I'm sorry, but we cannot serve these customers. Someone, please escort them out!" he ordered.

To their surprise, the waiters didn't escort Skyler out, but instead, they asked Isabella and her friends from the next table to leave.

"What? Are you mistaken? I am Isabella, the daughter of the Jones family. You told the manager to throw out Skyler, so why are you dragging me out?" Isabella protested.

"I'm sorry, Miss Jones," the manager said, "but the restaurant will no longer welcome your presence. For the sake of both our reputations, please leave with Miss Jones."

"No! I don't believe it. I want to talk to your manager in person!" Skyler protested.

Unfortunately, the manager had already put on a humble expression and was standing beside Skyler, rubbing his hands nervously.

"Miss Skyler, are you okay? Did you get hurt anywhere? It was all a misunderstanding on our part. Please don't take offense. You can come to our restaurant in the future without being a member, and today's meal will be on the house."

Skyler was stunned, her eyes filled with disbelief.

She thought she would be the one kicked out.

Could it be that the person who was just kicked out was...

Sophia snorted unhappily. "On the house? Do you think we care about your free meal? You lowly, narrow-minded person!"

"Yes, yes, I'm narrow-minded. Miss Skyler and Miss Sophia, please give me a chance to make it up to you by dining in the VIP room. It's my chance to make amends for my mistakes," the manager said, wiping his sweat and trying to be as obsequious as possible.

He didn't expect Skyler to have such a big face.

All it took was a dispute with someone to attract the attention of a VIP dining in the private room.

"Master Lee, the dispute outside has been settled," William, the first assistant, reported respectfully to Logan in the VIP room of the restaurant.

Logan, who had ordered William to go out and resolve the situation for Skyler, sat at the head of the table with an expressionless face. His cold eyebrows furrowed, and his enigmatic gaze fixed on the woman sitting in the booth.

The glass walls of the VIP room were specially made, allowing those inside to see outside, but not the other way around. Through the glass, Logan had witnessed the meek and submissive woman in front of him engage in a public fight.

"I inquired about Skyler, Master Lee. She's really not someone who can be taken seriously! She got into a fight outside, all over a ring!"

At that moment, Logan's second assistant, Noah, pushed the door open and walked in with a look of contempt.

William and Noah were two brothers, both sons of Uncle Moore.

However, compared to William, Noah clearly disliked Skyler more.

"A ring?" Logan's eyes grew darker.

"Yeah, just a ring. I don't know why someone would bother stealing a stupid ring."

Logan pondered for a moment, his gaze once again passing through the glass and settling on Skyler's face.

At that moment, Skyler, who had been whispering to her friend, seemed to feel his gaze and looked over at the private room.

The woman, who had previously had a calm expression, suddenly smiled brilliantly, raising her eyebrows and curling her red lips.

Logan's black pupils hardened.

The next second, a gentle and refined man appeared in the hallway outside the private room.

"James, over here!"

Skyler stood up and waved to the man with a charming smile.
