Daemon didn't waste a second.
He grabbed his phone and quickly called the doctor.
He didn't want to alarm Aurora, so he kept his voice low and told the doctor to come quickly.
Something strange was happening.
When the doctor arrived, he checked Aurora quietly, not wanting to upset her, and after running some tests, he pulled Daemon aside.
His face was serious, and Daemon's chest tightened with dread as the doctor spoke in a hushed tone.
"It seems," the doctor began, choosing his words carefully, "Mrs. Aurora has lost her memory of the past seven years. Right now, she believes it is still the next day of your wedding."
Daemon's heart pounded, but oddly enough, instead of panic, a strange sense of relief filled him.
Aurora didn't remember all the cold, hurtful things he'd done.
She didn't remember how distant he'd been, how much he had pushed her away.
This was his chance.
He could start over.
