Up the floor he climbed into an environment completely opposite the close rooms and cathedral-sized areas of the last few trials he had faced: Rivyn found himself in the middle of what felt like a huge open field. Below his feet, the earth was of wood, smooth and waxed to a brilliant sheen that gave the appearance of stretching on forever, in every direction. Above him, there was no visible ceiling; instead, there was a sky, as if the whole place had been hung inside a space.
Yet it felt so empty, despite the several thousand it held, due to its greatness in size. It was a little time before Rivyn took to look around, his eyes disbelieving at the various shapes and sizes of beings.
