ELARA POV
"Do you feel what's happening, Elara?" Seraphine's voice cried out and cut through the murmurs of the forest.
I turned towards her, and I nodded, trying to calm myself and steady my breath. " Yes, I think something's coming through," I replied.
The air in Eldoria forest was very thick and had a lot of tension. The shadows were twisting under the ancient tree as if they held some secrets of their own that nobody could understand.
I stood among them. My mind was racing heavily, and I could even hear my heartbeat.
"What should we do, Seraphine?"
Seraphine moved closer to me. I held her hands tight, and I could feel that we were both afraid.
"Maybe you should use your spell, Elara," Seraphine asked me with a concerned look on her face.
"I don't think it can work now. I am a little bit nervous, and my magic doesn't work when I am nervous." I remind her.
"Elara, your magic is Strong," Seraphine has said and informed me during our training earlier.
Everyone in Eldoria used to come to this forest for their training. We were trained by the most powerful witches and wizards in our kingdom.
While my mother is one of them.
Earlier today, I received a revelation from my mother that I have something to do with the rivalry between us and the Blightfall Empire, known as the Demon World.
But I don't think I can do that.
"Elara, what are you thinking? We are in danger here, please do something, or we might get killed"
I step back from my thoughts and remember the danger we are now in.
I try to summon my magic and use my magical eyes to see what's inside the forest that's getting us scared.
"Please don't use your magic ball on me; it's me, Damien." A familiar voice said.
I open my eyes to find my younger brother staring at me with his eyes looking terrified.
"Are you okay, Damien?" I shouted.
"What if I use some of my dangerous spells on you,
You might get injured or Die,"
Seraphine looks at me with relief eyes.
"Don't do that again, Damien. we got scared from your actions just now" Seraphine yelled at him.
Damien got close and gave me a friendly hug.
"I am sorry, Elara, I am just learning the new tricks and spells mom taught me this morning"
"You should know when you should be practicing your spells, not here. It's dangerous here," I scolded him.
I turned to Seraphine, who was still holding my hand. "Let's hold back to the village. My mother might be waiting for me."
I was walking between the two of them, Damien holding my hands and using his spell to create some magic balls.
I stood between them, my mind restless. At twenty-two, I was a force and a powerful witch within the coven. No one around my age dared to face me.
My mother used to tell me that it was because of my parentage, and no one in the coven knew about my father. Whenever I ask my mother, she tells me that it's not time for her to reveal it to me yet.
"Elara, what are you thinking? You know I am your best friend; tell me something; I am a little bit worried," Seraphine's sweet voice calls me back to their attention.
"Okay, Seraphine, this morning, the elders and my mother gave me a revelation that I have something to do with the war between our rivals from the Blightfall Empire," I said worriedly.
"You mean the Demons?" Seraphine asked, and I could feel her voice change suddenly.
"Yes, and I don't know what to do"
We suddenly stopped, and Seraphine looked into my eyes.
"I always know you have a greater purpose, but if this is it. Just know that I will always be by your side, with no challenges we will face together. She assured me.
"Your magic is very strong, and you are still young to even grow and become more powerful than ever." She assured me.
I wanted to believe her, but doubts gnawed at me. Can I truly be the one to stop the ancient war between us and the demons? I don't believe it.
The Elders said it has been a long time since they went to war with the demons. But Eldoria is on the brink of war. Everyone can feel that even a day-old baby.
"We are here, but where is Mommy, Elara?". Damien asked me, looking confused.
I replied, "I should be asking you that. Maybe she went to the elderly meetings"
"Elara, I think I should be going home now, or what did you think?" Seraphine asked me.
She should be going home by now. We both left home for training since the sun rose and now it's almost noon. We spend a lot of time training in Eldoria forest.
"Okay goodbye don't be late tomorrow. You know we have a lot of spells to practice tomorrow" I remind her. As she left me and Damien.
I watched her go. She is always looking beautiful and I am happy for her. She already found her soulmate.
Am the only one of my age who's yet to find her mate, but I am not worried about that only about this prophecy, I know one day my soulmate will come and see me.
"Elara come inside" I heard my mom's voice call me.
But I thought she was not inside when Damien went in to check. Well, maybe she just teleported here something only powerful witches in the coven can do easily.
As I went inside, I saw her standing near our big dining table, holding one dark book. I couldn't see the content inside.
"Mom, I am here. What happened?" Because I can see the seriousness on her face.
"Elara you're my daughter, and you're destined for greater purpose, anything you face now, know that's for a reason and for a purpose" I can feel the worries in my mom's voice but I don't understand what's going to happen.
"Elara you will be kidnapped tomorrow" she added.
