The sun had just begun to peek over the horizon, filling my room with a soft, golden light. It was a fresh start, a chance to leave behind the chaos of the past few months. I got out of bed and headed to my closet, opening the doors with a touch of anticipation, my heart racing with the possibilities that lay ahead.
I chose a lightweight, long-sleeved white blouse, its fabric soft and inviting, and paired with a denim skirt that reached just above my knees made everyone go crazy. I adjusted my light brown hair into a high ponytail, leaving a few strands loose . To complete the look, I slipped on some white sneakers that matched my outfit, I felt ready to conquer the world.
As I sat at the dinner table,I was ready to devour the food until i was so rudely interrupted by Lorenzo's loud ass shouting outside. My brother walked in with ten bodyguards on some 'finish quickly you're late' shit. I thought they were playing some game till I remembered. "I have school today! How did I forget!?" I screamed as I suddenly remembered why I dressed up that day. Lorenzo-my brother-just laughed his ass off seeing me panick. I ran to the car leaving him behind. "Hurry up Dom, time's a wasting!" I said to Dom-our driver-as we sped to the school.
The ride was going well and i thought i was gonna get to school in time but as we rounded the corner, everything changed. A sudden explosion shattered the car, sending me sprawling to the ground. The world around me erupted in chaos, the sound deafening as debris rained down.
I looked up just in time to see my bodyguards fall, each taken down by the ruthless gangsters who had ambushed us. The sight of their lifeless bodies sent a wave of terror crashing over me. I was used to being ambushed and kidnapped but none of my dad's bodyguards have died while protecting me.
Panic surged through me as I scrambled to my feet, heart racing. The gangsters, their eyes glinting with malice, closed in, their intentions clear. They were not just here for a show; they were here for me. My mind raced-I had to think, fast.
I managed to kill four of the bastards , i was used to killing at this point. But the last guy put a knife in my leg. I could've taken them all down but I couldn't fight like this. I had to get away, fast!
Just as I turned to dash for the alley, a shadow loomed over me, and a voice hissed, "You can't escape us." My breath caught in my throat, my instincts screaming at me to run. I glanced back, my heart pounding in my chest, and saw the gangsters advancing, their faces twisted in cruel smiles. They were toying with me, relishing the fear they instilled. That made me mad and I lost control and bit his ear off.
In that moment, as he was screaming in pain , I sprinted toward the alley, the sound of my sneakers hitting the pavement echoing in my ears *Thank God I wasn't that guy* The narrow passageway was dark, but I didn't hesitate. I ducked into it, my heart racing as I pressed my back against the cold brick wall, trying to catch my breath.
The gangsters followed, their footsteps heavy and menacing, their voices echoing off the walls. I knew I had to be quiet, to blend into the shadows. As they drew closer, i felt a surge of adrenaline. I couldn't let them find me. I had to think of a plan, a way to escape this nightmare.
Suddenly, I heard one of them say, "Split up. She can't have gone far." My heart dropped. They were going to search for her, and i knew they would evemtually find me. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what lay ahead. The alley led to a street, and if I could just make it there without being seen, I might have a chance.
With my heart pounding, I pushed myself off the wall and limped down the alley. I could hear the gangsters shouting to each other, their voices growing fainter as they spread out. Just as I reached the end of the alley, I caught sight of a bustling street filled with people. It was my chance to disappear into the crowd.
But as I stepped out, I felt a hand grip my arm tightly.
