Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Many Fields

The air buzzed with anticipation as Rohan stood in the expansive arena of the Executive HQ, the stands packed with onlookers. Today, he faced Hassan Al-Fayed, a mere twelve years old, yet an Executive of Saudi Arabia, propelled to power by the weight of nepotism. But Rohan knew better than to underestimate anyone, especially a child wielding formidable powers.

Rohan squinted against the bright lights, taking in Hassan's confident posture. The boy wore a sleek black combat suit, a smirk playing on his lips as he surveyed the audience. "Ready to lose, Rohan?" he called out, his voice dripping with arrogance.

Rohan shot back, "Ready to see if you can back up all that talk. Let's see what you've got."

Varun's voice boomed over the arena, signaling the start of the match. "Fight!"

Hassan wasted no time. With a flick of his wrist, he summoned shimmering particles from the air, shaping them into a solid wall of energy. "Matter Creation!" he yelled, slamming the wall toward Rohan.

Rohan's heart raced. "Ditto!" he shouted, activating his power. He focused, channeling the energy of Hassan's attack, and with a swift motion, he mirrored the structure. Suddenly, the two walls collided in a spectacular explosion of energy, sending waves rippling through the arena.

The crowd gasped, and Rohan heard Elena shout, "You can do this, Rohan!"

"Focus, man!" Alejandro added, his eyes glued to the action.

Rohan dodged a falling piece of debris, feeling the energy pulse around him. "Hassan's got serious control over matter," he muttered. "This is quantum field theory in action. If he can manipulate the quantum states of particles, he could create or disintegrate anything at will."

Hassan twisted his hands, and the wall disintegrated into hundreds of particles, each hovering like fireflies. "Electromagnetic Control!" he declared, sending a blinding flash of light towards Rohan.

Rohan shielded his eyes, the brightness stinging. "No way I'm falling for that!" He quickly summoned a mirrored barrier, Ditto reflecting Hassan's electromagnetic wave back at him.

The beam collided with Hassan's constructs, creating a dazzling display of sparks and energy. "Not bad!" Hassan laughed, adjusting his stance. "But you'll need more than tricks to beat me!"

Rohan grinned, adrenaline pumping through him. "How about this?" He concentrated, tapping into the energy around him. "Ditto!" With a surge of determination, he unleashed a wave of energy that morphed into a series of clones, each mimicking his movements.

"Clones?" Hassan exclaimed, momentarily thrown off. "No fair!"

Rohan seized the moment. "Think fast!" He instructed his clones to spread out, surrounding Hassan. "Let's see how you handle this!"

Hassan quickly countered, manipulating the gravitational field around him. "Gravitational Control!" he shouted, creating a force that pushed Rohan's clones away. Some flew into the air, while others tumbled back, but Rohan remained grounded, locking eyes with Hassan.

"Nice move!" Rohan complimented, smirking. "But I'm not done yet!" He focused on Hassan's gravitational field, analyzing its fluctuations. "If I can redirect his energy…"

As the fight intensified, Rohan's mind raced through calculations, piecing together the mechanics behind Hassan's powers. "He's using gravitational waves to affect the spatial curvature. If I can counteract that…"

"Are you even paying attention?" Hassan taunted, sending a barrage of energy blasts from his fingertips. "Try to keep up!"

Rohan dodged and ducked, his clones dissolving one by one. "Time to change the game!" He felt the familiar energy of his surroundings swell around him. "Ditto!"

With a surge, he mirrored Hassan's gravitational control, creating a counter-field that destabilized Hassan's grip. The boy stumbled, momentarily thrown off balance.

"Now!" Rohan shouted. He channeled the energy of his surroundings into a powerful wave, launching himself forward to deliver a swift kick that connected with Hassan's side, sending him sprawling to the ground.

"Ugh!" Hassan grunted, but he quickly recovered, focusing on the ground. "Many Fields!" He manipulated the earth beneath him, creating a surge of material that shot upward, attempting to trap Rohan.

"Not happening!" Rohan rolled away, avoiding the attack. He took a deep breath, strategizing his next move. "If I can just get closer…"

As the ground erupted with debris, Rohan leaped, narrowly dodging Hassan's blasts and the chaotic formations. "You've got some skills, kid!" Rohan called, determination fueling him. "But you're no match for Ditto!"

"Let's see!" Hassan replied, gritting his teeth as he prepared to unleash a wave of gravitational energy that threatened to collapse the arena. "With gravitational manipulation, I can simulate the effects of a black hole, crushing everything around me!"

"Wait!" Rohan exclaimed, realizing the implications. "If he creates a strong enough gravitational pull, it could disrupt the arena's structure!" He had to act fast.

"Come on, Rohan!" Ayumi yelled from the sidelines, her voice cutting through the tension. "You can do this!"

Rohan felt their encouragement wrap around him like a shield. "I can't let them down!" He concentrated, channeling all his focus into one final move. "Ditto!"

As the gravitational force swirled around Hassan, Rohan unleashed a wave of energy, countering the pull. The two forces collided, sending shockwaves through the arena.

"Now!" Rohan shouted, diving forward as the gravitational field destabilized. He focused on Hassan, using his power to absorb the energy, turning it into a massive burst of light that engulfed both of them.

When the light faded, Rohan stood tall, and Hassan lay on the ground, panting heavily. The crowd erupted into cheers, the sound echoing around the arena.

Varun stepped forward, a grin on his face. "Rohan wins!"

Rohan breathed heavily, adrenaline coursing through him. He looked down at Hassan, who was slowly getting up, a reluctant smile forming on his lips. "You really are something else, Rohan. You beat me fair and square."

Rohan extended a hand to help him up. "You were amazing, Hassan. Don't let your age fool you; you've got serious talent."

As the two exchanged nods of respect, Rohan's mind drifted back to Zara and Amir, the shadows of their plans still lurking in the back of his mind. There was more to uncover, and he wouldn't rest until he got to the bottom of it.
