Rohan Sharma, age 20, the 'Executive' of Old India, has been at the Executive HQ's Medical Care Center for two days, battling a strange condition—paranoia triggered by voices that never seem to stop.
Today, however, was his second battle against Ayumi Sato, the current executive of Japan.
"Ugh... these voices won't stop. I'm so tired... I want to sleep... I don't want to fight today." Rohan muttered, exhausted by the ceaseless cacophony in his head.
Suddenly, the door slammed open. BAMMM
"Let's go, Mister Rohan. It's time for battle," Varun barged into the medical room.
Rohan groaned, "I can't fight today. I'm sick."
"I'm sorry to hear that, but everything is set up. Everyone is waiting for you in the battlegrounds, so you HAVE to come." Varun was firm.
Rohan sighed internally, You gotta be kidding me... There was no escape from this.
Ayumi Sato sat in her waiting room, a sinister smile curling on her lips. "Well, I guess by now those voices have already driven him mad. My power, 'Scary Sounds,' should have disoriented him by now," she chuckled to herself.
Rohan dragged himself to the battlefield, his mind buzzing with chaotic noises. "Oh no, she's coming out. Damn it, the voices are getting louder. AHHHH—"
And then, he saw her.
"AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! GO AWAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!"
Rohan's internal voices had reached a fever pitch. He screamed frantically, his paranoia in full force.
The announcer was equally stunned, "OOOH MY GOD, ROHAN IS SCREAMING! HE IS SCARED OF THIS LITTLE GIRL—THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE!"
The crowd roared with laughter, mocking his fear.
Alejandro and Elena, sitting in the audience, were concerned.
"What's happening, Alejandro? Why is Rohan screaming?" Elena asked, wide-eyed.
"That's her power... look at Ayumi," Alejandro pointed.
"Yeah... she's smiling in a really creepy way..." Elena whispered.
"This doesn't look good for Rohan. He might lose," Alejandro said, worried.
"Let's end this already. My ears are relieved," Ayumi declared.
'SCARY SOUNDS!' She unleashed her power, and Rohan screamed again, clutching his head.
"AAAAAAAGHHHHHHHH-HHHGgg, DITTOOOO!" Rohan's screams began to warp as he activated his own powers.
Suddenly, he stopped.
"....So that's how it is. 'Scary Sounds.'" His expression shifted. He had pieced it together.
Ayumi, confused, fired a Sonic Blast at him.
But nothing happened. Rohan stood, completely unharmed.
"Huh? How did you...?" Ayumi was baffled.
Rohan grinned. "Your Scary Sounds give you the ability of Sonic Manipulation—control over sound waves across a range of frequencies. The paranoia you caused was you embedding specific high-frequency vibrations into my brain, disrupting my neural patterns." He paused. "But here's the thing, Ayumi—sound waves are predictable. I analyzed your sonic frequencies, found their destructive patterns, and cancelled them out by matching the phase and generating destructive interference."
Ayumi clenched her fists, annoyed. "You think you're clever?"
Rohan lifted his hand, and the air around him began to hum. "Let's see how you handle this—Sonic Cutter!" High-frequency vibrations rippled through the air, sharp enough to cut through the sound barrier itself. The air hummed with lethal energy as the sonic waves raced toward Ayumi.
But Ayumi stood her ground. With a slight wave of her hand, the hum faded and the Sonic Cutter fizzled out before it could reach her.
Rohan's eyes widened in surprise.
Ayumi smirked. "You tried to cut me with sound? Please. I just lowered the frequency of your attack to an inaudible level. Too easy."
He gritted his teeth. "Impressive. You can manipulate the frequency and amplitude of sound waves at will. But can you handle this?"
Suddenly, the air was filled with a deafening, overlapping barrage of high-intensity sound waves. The arena itself trembled under the weight of the noise. Auditory Overload—a technique that flooded the battlefield with sound so intense, it could incapacitate even the strongest opponent by overwhelming their sensory and neural systems.
Ayumi's smug smile faded. The overload was disrupting the delicate electromagnetic fields she had been manipulating to interfere with Rohan's body. Her precision was shattered by the chaotic onslaught of noise.
"You really thought you could beat me by drowning the air in sound? Pathetic!" Ayumi yelled over the barrage. She struggled but managed to stabilize the frequencies, nullifying the Auditory Overload with her own soundwaves.
But Rohan smirked again. "What's the matter? Feeling frazzled? I bet your father never spanked you as a kid, huh? Maybe he should have. Might've saved you from acting like a spoiled brat now."
Her face flushed with rage. "You—"
Ayumi snapped her fingers, her face a mask of fury. The air around Rohan shifted subtly.
And then—Rohan's heart skipped a beat. His chest tightened as if an invisible hand had reached in and gripped his heart. His pulse faltered.
"I've tuned the frequency of my sound waves to resonate with your cardiac muscle, adjusting the amplitude and wavelength to cause fatigue in your heart. Your body can't handle it," she said, smugly.
Rohan dropped to his knees, clutching his chest as his vision blurred. He could feel his heart fighting against the precise vibrations targeting its contractions. His body trembled as the soundwaves disrupted the natural electrical signals of his heartbeat, pushing his heart toward failure.
The announcer's voice filled the arena. "ROHAN IS DOWN! HAS AYUMI WON THIS?"
Ayumi raised her hands in victory. But then...
Rohan's body twitched. He forced himself back up. "You… thought you could stop me with that?" he gasped. "I tweaked the frequency of my body's vibrations, countering the resonance you created."
Ayumi took a step back, shocked. "That's impossible."
Rohan straightened. "I analyzed the mechanical resonance you used against my heart and reversed it. It wasn't easy, but I'm still standing."
Ayumi, now visibly angry, began to unleash her final attack. But Rohan raised his hand. "Let's finish this."
The air around him vibrated intensely as he gathered every ounce of sound in the arena. Scary Sounds.
"Sayo~nara." Rohan said while mocking her,
A massive sonic boom exploded from Rohan, creating such intense pressure waves that the very fabric of reality around Ayumi distorted. Her body bent and twisted under the overwhelming force, breaking apart at the molecular level. Her limbs contorted, her structure crumbling under the pressure.
"AAAAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!" Ayumi screamed as her body was reduced to fragments.
But then, Rohan snapped his fingers, reversing the effect. Scary Sounds again, but this time in reverse. The sound waves reassembled her molecular structure, healing her body completely.
Ayumi gasped, collapsing to the ground, utterly defeated.
The crowd erupted into chaos. "ROHAN WON! HE FIXED HER BODY AFTER DESTROYING IT!" the announcer shouted, amazed.
The crowd roared in disbelief as Rohan gazed down at Ayumi, calm and collected. "You're just a kid. Next time, be careful who you mess with."
