The light Talon found a way to strengthen the light magic users? Blessings of Saint Luma was it? Saint Luma was a heroic legendary figure who was immortalized as a statue in the kingdom of Ultra. He lived about 500 to 600 years ago according to scholars. It was said that he was a legendary light mage who could conduct all kinds of healing from diseases to curses. At the time, that information was not necessary to me because I had yet to encounter a curse. "Chrono? The other match is starting." Roy said. I gave him a nod ad went back to my thoughts. The matches went on until we left the area late at night and went back to the manor. The head maid had prepared clothing for Roy to wear for the next day and the uneventful day came to an end. The next day was very hectic in the morning where Roy was getting anxious after realizing that he did not know our customs of etiquette. "Just do what you are used to." I said. "Young master!" the head master said with disapproving eyes. "I can't help him you know. The White Eagle faces different scenarios from other normal people." I said. The White Eagle was the head of the military and did not bow down to anyone. As such, I lacked the knowledge to handle things like etiquette between two leaders of different nations. Does the visitor bow? Does the prince bow because he is not yet king? The prince is the king's proxy so should he even bow? Such questions were too complicated for me to handle. "Young master. You said Roy is the prince of a country in the Central Empire, correct?" head butler asked. "Yes, he is the Crown prince of the kingdom of Orthon inside the Central Continent." I answered. "Is he here on a visit or as the king's or emperor's proxy to establish relations?" The head butler asked. I looked at Roy who looked back at me in amazement. "What? Yu don't know that?" Roy whispered. "I am here on official visit as my father's proxy. However, I am not the crown prince. I have an older sister who is poised to take over from father." Roy said. So he had an older sister, well who knew? I shrugged it off. "In that case …" The head butler explained the way forward to Roy who listened attentively. "Young master, you don't know much about the prince?" The head maid asked. "Not much. I was busy with the missions inside the Central Continent." I answered. "Reckless as ever you old kid." Nathan said. "Nathan! You are here early." I said. "Yes. Your mother the queen wanted to make sure everything goes smoothly." Nathan answered. She probably understood that I was unsuitable to show Roy proper etiquette and protocol. "Nathan, do you mind showing him proper etiquette?" I asked. "Yes Sir Nathan, you are suited far better than I in this regard since you work at the palace." The head butler said. "Chrono, you don't know royal etiquette?" Nathan teased. "Well I would have learned it but some genius told me that the White Eagle bows to no one." I answered. Nathan was the person who told me this when I first met the royal family. "You cheeky bastard." Nathan said while smiling. "Well considering that he is your father, learning etiquette was redundant." Nathan said. "What? Chrono are you the prince of this kingdom?" Roy asked. Oh I had completely forgotten to mention that. "You didn't tell him?" Nathan asked. I could feel all the piercing gazes all around me. "No I am not the prince. My mother became queen less than three weeks ago and for my father well, he is the king but our paths are different. He's the head of the nation while I head the military of all the three nations on this Island." I said. "Isn't a prince the son of the royal family? You meet that criteria." Roy said. Well…I do but being a prince feels like a step down from my current position."He became a prince less than three weeks ago. This is probably why he is still in denial." Nathan said. The head maid nodded her head in agreement. "Sure. Let's go with that. I am however not the Crown Prince because I do not wish to rule." I conceded. "Aren't you already a ruler for the whole military?" Roy asked. I was growing frustrated and so I let out a deep breath. "I think Roy is good to go. There is no need for further training." I threatened. Roy protested and went to another room where Nathan taught him the basics of our culture. I went to the coach outside the house and began waiting for them to finish. It took a few minutes and they both came out and we set out to the castle. The carriage was marked with the White Eagle's insignia which helped avoid traffic along the way. I was seated next to Roy while Nathan was seated opposite to us. "There's no reason to be so tense, my old man is quite laid back." I said. "King. Call him king you old kid." Nathan retorted. "Nathan didn't say I was wrong however." I answered. Roy calmed down a little. My hidden agenda was that I wanted Roy to loosen up a little bit. If he could be King and lead to a revolutionary change in his country, then I would have more places to visit in future. Having a lifespan of 10,000 years and being limited to visiting few exciting places on this planet feels like hell on earth. If I could show him around all domains from the impressive gnomish architecture to natural fae habitats, this will surely inspire him to come up with something exciting for his own kingdom. "We have arrived. That is the palace." Nathan said as he looked at Roy. "It looks very closed off." Roy said. Roy was used to living in a semi-arid location with large open spaces and large windows to allow free circulation of air and keep the building cool. The situation was different here in Capel because it was more of a mini tropical climate with a lot of greenery and rivers. "Yes. This place is not that hot you know." I said. "Yes. I noticed very few wells here. Wow the grass is very green." Roy shouted. It was very interesting how this planet worked. There was no language barrier because the intent was always communicated to the brain among species. A very mindboggling innate ability found in all species on this planet. However, this same planet could not get rid of deserts on its own and make every piece of land fertile. I feel like this is a case of misplaced priorities. [A balance needs to be struck. A tropical climate everywhere on the planet limits biodiversity in both plants and animals.]
