The queen was now moving her fingers and her breathing had stabilized.
[From her body, Affirmative. From the world, No.]
Jenga gave me a detailed explanation that to completely eradicate the curse, I would need to get to the source. This was the only way of ensuring that the queen does not get the curse once more. "Is everything okay? You have been quiet for a long time." Father asked. I was listening to Jenga through telepathy which was impossible for them to notice. "Yes. I am fine. However, to completely get rid of the curse, I need to travel and uproot it from the source." I said. "Mom is okay right?" The prince asked. "Yes she is fine. She is just tired, we should let her sleep." I said. Father led the way out of the room and we headed towards the lounge. The whole process had taken around twenty minutes to get rid of the curse. "Did he do it?" Mother asked father. Father nodded his head and sat down in an empty chair and signaled me to take the opposite chair. We began with some small talk and then got to the serious stuff. "I brought samples of the spiders that we talked about a few months ago. They are at the back." I said. "The legends were true then." Father said. Mother dropped a plate and we all glanced over. "You…you brought such terrifying creatures here? Why?" Mother asked. I explained that I needed to mobilize the whole army to conduct drills and make plans to counter this spiders. This required father's support to ensure cooperation of the other leaders particularly Midrain. "Ah I see, the Midrain Kingdom is very troublesome. They will want an evidence that there is indeed trouble so that they ca cooperate." Father said. Mother served the food and we began eating all the four of us, Father, mother the prince and I. I began to explain the level of threat we were facing which shocked them to the core. "Nathan could not defeat one on his own?" Mother asked. "Don't forget, that was the little spider. There is a big one that the two could not even harm." Father added. We finished eating and went to observe the spiders. I levitated them out of the carriage and placed them on the ground. I heard an audible gasp from the king. They were all stunned for a moment and could not talk and so I chose to take the lead on matters. "This small spiders…" I explained their different abilities. "This larger one is very dangerous, it…" I explained how the mid-level spiders operated and the number of troops it would likely require to subjugate just one of them. "Chrono, are you telling me you fought such spiders in the foreign continent?" Mother asked. "Yes, my group and I killed easily over 100,000 of such spiders." I said. There were a few palace guards who had accompanied the royal family and were very doubtful about what I had just said. In particular, I said not even 100 highly trained night would take on one mid-level spider without casualties. Nathan was beside me as I was giving the presentation and was nodding throughout which shocked the soldiers present until the deputy captain spoke. "Your majesty." The deputy said as he bowed. "Feel free." Father said as he ushered him to speak freely. He bowed once more and said thank you. "Sir White Eagle," he started as he bowed even lower, after all, I was his boss. "What's on your mind?" I asked trying to keep the mood as casual as possible. "You are indeed strong, I witnessed the Angel's Tear a while back from behind the frontlines which cemented you as the most powerful person in all of the three kingdoms. But to say that 100 of the finest knights would suffer casualties because of that small spider is perhaps too…" The deputy hesitated. The Angel's Tear referred to the final attack against the three giant tortoises. "Perhaps it is because it is tightly bound that you are making an assumption that this spider is weak. To be honest, it would slay100 of our best knight concurrently if I gt serious." I said. I could see the dissatisfaction from the soldiers and so I decided to take a risk. "Mother and father, take the price and move slightly back." I said. "What are you going to do Chrono?" Mother asked. "Conduct a mock battle between the royal guards and this medium level spider." I answered. "You are going to release it? Chrono?" Mother questioned. "Don't worry about it. As long as I am here everyone is safe." I said. Mother was about to object before father intervened. "Let us witness firsthand what threats await us. Nathan, get more soldiers." Father said. Nathan gave the order and the soldiers who were here went and began to call for their colleagues. In a few minutes, a well-organized fighting force organized in rows and columns appeared. "Now, I will give you some basic information…" I gave them information about the mid-level spiders fighting pattern and abilities before I set it free. I floated above the battlefield to act as a referee. The spider began by stretching its legs and shaking its body. The body alone was the size of a van and the legs were over 5 meters long when straightened out and 2 meters high when it was walking. The soldiers at the front had shields to counter the spider's movement. The spider was uninterested in the group of soldiers before one of them threw a fire attack at its face then all hell broke loose. The spider stared spitting venom and spider webs at the group which was tightly packed, a very big and rookie mistake. The webs limited mobility while the venom began corroding the shields and full plate armor. "Spread out." The deputy captain shouted. Half could not move due to the spider's webs and fire mages were working tirelessly trying to burn the webs and free their colleagues. The rest surrounded the spider and began attacking it consistently. The soldiers were now more venerable and the spider began targeting individual soldiers one by one. I whisked them away through levitation at the last minute to avoid casualties. The battle continued and I now had over thirty people floating beside me who I had protected from the spiders onslaught. It was taking a long time for the group that was trapped by the webs to get free and so I decided to end the exercises. I dropped the soldiers safely on the ground a few meters away and went to subjugate the raging spider. "Deputy captain. Stand back, I am going to handle this." I said. I used lightning speed to quickly move to the spiders back and metal magic to bind the spider's body once more. "Is anybody hurt?" I asked. I removed the venom from a few soldiers before commending them for their bravery. "Sir White Eagle, we owe you our lives." "As long as the White Eagle is here, our safety is guaranteed." "The White Eagle is the most powerful in the world." Soldiers expressed their sentiments one after the other. Once I was done with them, I went to join the deputy captain who was now with the royal family. He looked disappointed and the first words he said were "Sorry for disappointing you Sir." I was not really disappointed, on the contrary I was glad that father and the rest understood the gravity of the situation. "No I was not disappointed, I told you before didn't i. not even 100 of you could defeat a single one of them." I said. "How did you do it big brother?" The prince asked. Big brother? Nice, I like it. "Your big brother is very strong." I said as I lightly pinched his cheeks. "That was ridiculous, this kingdom would be hopeless without your strength." Mother said. Father nodded as he stroke his beard. "I need to convince the other rulers with this similar performance to emphasize on the danger that is looming." I said. "Yes, we need total mobilization and training. A letter shall be sent today." Father said. "Do you believe that if we train we can defeat such a threat?" The deputy captain asked. "No. it is impossible at this stage. My hope is that you will keep the spider busy without suffering casualties until I get there." I said. That was a painful pill to swallow but I did not want them to go risking their lives needlessly. Maybe after development of new weapons the situation will change but for now I needed them safe. "The whole kingdom will be reliant on you?" Mother asked. "Not really, Pitch, Alpha and their crew can easily handle this threat. I also came with my new subordinate who is resting at the manor. We are more than enough." I said.
