Lyse nervously approached the nurse's station, her heart pounding in her chest. She was worried and wanted to inquire about the man she had brought in, the stranger whose life she had inadvertently saved. As she opened her mouth to speak, a doctor, a stern-looking man with a tired expression, approached her.
"You are the one who brought the middle aged man in earlier today?" he asked, his voice laced with curiosity.
Lyse nodded, her voice barely a whisper. "Yes, I was in the street when he collapsed in my path."
The doctor's expression softened. "Well, you did a good thing. He has had a coronary but thanks to your quick action, he is going to be fine. We are doing everything we can for him."
Then he reached out his hand to shake Lyse. "I am Dr Caleb."
"My name is Lyse," Lyse said, bashful at the doctor's praise. "And I was only doing what anyone else would have done."
