After the Government announce that Halix will be the next ruler of the country and sort things out about the accident. Zade decided to let everyone go on a vacation.
Aaron took this opportunity to go to Art Gallery of Ontario in Canada with Anastasia since Anastasia's like Arts and Museum.
"I'm planning to go to Canada with Anastasia, Is that okay?" Aaron asked as Zade nodded and finished his work for the week.
"Wendy and I together with the twins are planning to go to her parents house to have a bonding time with them." Zade said as Aaron nodded.
"How about you?" Aaron asked looking at Knight and Target in Bandages.
"We will stay here and heal, Jayden isn't awake yet and we would love to look after him." Knight said since the cruise bombing was unexpected and if it wasn't for Anastasia the three of them will be dead.
Anastasia also had a cut yet not that much for her to be hospitalized. Jayden was the one who got caught in the bomb causing him unconscious.
In the plane Anastasia was sleeping the whole time while Aaron was conscious about his ambiance if he's making Anastasia comfortable or not.
"What's wrong Aaron? You looked uncomfortable?" Anastasia asked as she let Aaron lean on her. "Sleep and have a rest, It seems like you didn't get enough rest." She said as Aaron smiled and did what she asked.
When they arrived to Canada, Keteki gladly vouch for them.
"Keteki my man!" Aaron approached as Keteki smiled. Keteki was one of Aaron's friend back in highschool and he is cureently working as Faridah Hamilton's secretary and doing a proper job than he was expected to be.
The Hamilton had a good partnership with the Reyes especially when it comes to protection and defense.
"I'm happy to be able to see you again Aaron." Keteki said as Aaron smiled and nodded since it's been quiet a while for them to catch things up.
"Is this your wife?" Keteki asked looking at Anastasia as Anastasia smiled. "No I'm just his subordinate." Anastasia said as Aaron sigh. Looking at Anastasia right now why is she denying that they are going out?
"No, She's my girlfriend." Aaron said as Anastasia chuckle. Keteki smiled knowing that Aaron is being serious about her as he opened the car door.
"Thanks Keteki." Aaron said as he smiled and nodded.
Aaron and Anastasia together with Keteki stepped into the grand lobby of a luxurious hotel in Ontario, Canada.
The space was warm and inviting, with rich wood accents and a sparkling chandelier that cast a gentle glow across the room.
They had just arrived after a long day of exploring the vibrant streets of Toronto, and the promise of a deluxe room seemed like the perfect end to their day.
The receptionist, a friendly woman with a polished smile, greeted them warmly. "Good evening, Mr. Aaron and Ms. Anastasia. We have a special offer for you tonight, a complimentary upgrade to one of our deluxe suites."
Aaron smirked as this is all Faridah's influence that the hotel staff are considerate about them.
Anastasia glanced at Aaron, her eyes lighting up. "A deluxe suite?"
The receptionist nodded. "Yes, it's one of our finest rooms, complete with a breathtaking view of the city skyline, a private balcony, and a spacious lounge area. We thought it would make your stay even more memorable."
Aaron smiled, clearly impressed. "That sounds perfect."
Soon, they were whisked up to their suite. As they entered, they were greeted by floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing a stunning view of the city lights below.
Keteki helped them with their things as they went inside.
The room was elegantly decorated, with plush furnishings, modern artwork, and a cozy fireplace.
Anastasia took a step forward, admiring the ambiance. "This is beautiful."
Aaron wrapped an arm around her. "Only the best for us," he murmured, as they took in their deluxe surroundings, excited for the memories they'd make here in Ontario.
"Ehem, I hope you like the hotel Aaron. I shall take my leave and I'll see you guys in a week." Keteki said as Aaron nodded and closed the door.
The next morning, Aaron and Anastasia woke up refreshed, eager to dive into another day of exploring Ontario.
After a leisurely breakfast at a nearby café, they made their way to the renowned Art Gallery of Ontario.
The building itself was a marvel modern and striking, with a grand glass facade that welcomed in streams of sunlight.
As they entered, they were immediately enveloped in the quiet hum of awe and admiration from fellow visitors. The gallery was vast, filled with thousands of pieces spanning centuries and genres.
Anastasia's eyes lit up as she led Aaron through the gallery's collection of Canadian art, pointing out vibrant works by the Group of Seven and Emily Carr. "I studied some of these artists," she whispered excitedly. "They capture Canada's landscapes so beautifully."
Aaron smiled, watching her with quiet admiration. "I can see why you love it here," he said, his voice soft as they stood before a breathtaking painting of rugged northern mountains framed by fiery autumn leaves. "It feels like every piece has a story."
Aaron knew that Anastasia have the love of Art so he pick the Art Gallery of Ontario to visit since this is one of the best in the country.
They wandered through room after room, each new space unveiling art from different cultures and periods.
One exhibit displayed intricate Indigenous carvings, which mesmerized Aaron with their craftsmanship and depth. In another wing, they found abstract pieces that filled the walls with bold colors and textures, leaving them lost in thought.
When they reached the gallery's contemporary section, Anastasia paused at a massive, haunting sculpture made entirely of twisted metal and shattered glass. "Art has such a powerful way of capturing emotion," she murmured.
Aaron really don't have that enough knowledge about arts and artist yet he is having fun looking at Anastasia's reaction.
Aaron took her hand, squeezing it gently. "Being here with you brings everything to life." Aaron said as Anastasia smiled and nodded.
They spent hours exploring the gallery, letting the art inspire them and spark conversations about history, culture, and the beauty of life itself.
By the time they left, they were filled with new memories, grateful for the experience and each other's company in a place so full of creativity and wonder.
They walked into a nearby park as Aaron starts asking her a question.
"You did a lot of good work lately that makes me feel useless." Aaron started as Anastasia smiled.
"I haven't said this yet but thank you for saving the little missy from Steel." He started as Anastasia smiled. "When I saw her in the veranda bleeding all I know is that she can't die since the twins needed her." She said.
"But you didn't have to jump off the veranda, What if you miscalculated your jump?" He asked as Anastasia smiled.
"It doesn't matter. I don't have anyone waiting for me to come home." She said as Aaron hold his hand.
"I do..." He said firmly. "I want you alive Anastasia so stop being not afraid of death." Aaron said as Anastasia smiled.
"It's part of the Mafia's law right? To not be afraid of death so you can properly serve your boss? Why are you asking me this stuffs now?" She asked as she grew out being strong so she can stand beside Aaron.
"When I heard about Mary's existence I thought that I finally lost you. I decided to quit my job and serve Zade as a Falcon Wing in exchange for your happiness." She started.
"I cannot fight with you if that's the person that you love." She added as she looked Aaron in the eyes.
"But atleast I can protect the person that you love."
"Anastasia," he called as Aaron lean in and kissed her. "My past doesn't matter when your the one I looked into my future. Stop thinking negative things and start focusing about us." He said as Aaron sigh and holds her hand.
"I saw Mary last time at the cafe when I was about to meet Jayden for a report. She was crying I bet it was because of me." He started as he sigh.
"But Mary is in my past now..."
"Are you just looking at me because I am someone you can depend on? I know that Mary is not as strong as me yet she is capable on making your heart happy. Please don't choose me just because I can serve Zade." Anastasia said looking down as Aaron kneel down in front of her as he looked at her face.
'She was about to cry yet she's still firm to let me go so that I can be happy? What a strong girl.' Aaron said smiling.
"I didn't choose you because your strong, I choose you because I can finally have someone that trust me and my skills as I can trust her with hers even without my protection. Your someone that I can trust and lean on, You complete me Anastasia." He said as Anastasia smiled sadly.
"I see so it's still about my skills, Aaron do you love me?" She asked as Aaron just looked at her dumbfounded.
