Chapter 239 - Chapter 239: Help Me Out Here!

"Thor, you don't need to panic. Loki hasn't caused any trouble... yet," Tony reassured him. "Just make sure you keep an eye on him. If any rumors start flying, even if nothing happens, it could still create some issues."

Tony could tell that Thor was beginning to understand Harvey's true identity in the universe. Harvey had made it clear that he preferred to keep his identity hidden; after all, he had mentioned that life on Earth was much freer, without the burdens of his status weighing him down.

Tony understood this sentiment perfectly, as he felt similarly in his circumstances. If Loki were to expose Harvey's identity, it would not only attract more members of the Void Church to Earth but would also limit Harvey's ability to operate freely, likely upsetting him significantly.

With someone as powerful as Harvey, it was best to keep things smooth and avoid any unnecessary friction.

"Yeah, I appreciate the help, Tony. Next time, I'll owe you a drink," Thor said, recognizing the hint in Tony's words.

"Just hurry and get him back," he added, turning to Loki.

Loki, sensing the gravity of the situation, replied, "I'm just here for a visit. There's no need for such hostility, brother. I mean no harm."

"Why on earth would you choose to visit the Void Church of all places?" Thor replied, incredulously. "You need to head back to Asgard right now! If Father finds out, I won't be able to help you."

"Father is currently in Odin's sleep. As long as you don't mention it, he won't find out," Loki countered confidently.

At that moment, the sound of multiple footsteps approached.

Reno, Kyle, Leicy, and the Seer saw who was leading the group and stepped aside to allow her passage.

Loki and Thor turned to see a stunning woman approaching, dressed in a sleek black dress that exuded an aura of mystery and elegance, accompanied by members of the Void Church.

Seeing Sonia's arrival, Tony smirked, knowing this was likely at Harvey's behest.

"Sonia's here; you might want to rethink your approach," he whispered to Thor and Loki, who exchanged wary glances.

Sonia stopped ten meters away from Loki and, in a soft, melodious voice, declared, "According to the will of the great Void God Kassadin, you, Loki, a guest from Asgard, are permitted to stay on Void Island for a time. However, your hopes for a favor will not be fulfilled, so do return when the time comes."

"Why? Doesn't the Void Church offer everyone a chance?" Loki protested, a mix of frustration and confusion in his eyes. "I want to gain more power. Why is it that others can, but I cannot?"

"Because that is the will of the Void God Kassadin," Sonia replied coolly, not providing further explanation. She understood the implications of Loki's identity; the Void Church was not yet ready to accept Asgardians.

In time, if the Void Church grew stronger and established clearer hierarchies, there might be a chance for Asgardians to join, but that was not now. Kassadin had made that clear to her.

"Thank the great Void God Kassadin for his mercy," Thor said, recognizing the gravity of Loki's situation.

"Mercy?!" Loki exclaimed, feeling the weight of hostile gazes falling on him. The once nonchalant group, now surrounding him with a tense air, made him acutely aware of his precarious position.

"Loki, if you wish to leave here safely, mind your words and actions," Sonia warned, her voice turning cold. "Show respect to the Void God, or I cannot guarantee your safety."

Thor could see the predicament his brother was in. "Help me out here, Tony. I'll treat you to a drink next time we meet."

"Your brother is quite reckless and doesn't seem to grasp the seriousness of this," Tony replied, glancing at Sonia, whose demeanor was icy. "I can't help him now. His fate lies in his own hands."

Tony recalled the reverence the Void Church had for Harvey. While he felt comfortable calling him Harvey or Kassadin privately, he respected the title in front of Reno and the others.

The members of the Void Church were incredibly friendly toward their own, but they were not known for their kindness toward enemies.
