After finishing his afternoon tea, Harvey continued to read through the books.
Noticing the titles of the books in his hands, Sonia recognized that they originated from Blue Star.
"Lord Kassadin, did you just make a trip to Blue Star?" Sonia asked, puzzled by the source of the books.
"Though the technological civilization of Blue Star isn't very advanced, it is the realm of King Odin, which means it has a wealth of myths and legends," Harvey explained, his gaze still on the pages. "Considering the system of titles I'm establishing, these books are quite helpful, so I took a quick trip."
"Is it possible to make a round trip to Blue Star so quickly?" Sonia's curiosity was piqued as she smiled and inquired.
"This time, I had to expend a lot of energy, so I can't do it again for a while…" Harvey replied, a smile on his face, but for some reason, he sensed a hint of resentment in Sonia's words. He quickly added, "I was gone for a year and a half, completely out of touch, leaving you to manage the Void Island on your own, which doesn't seem very fair."
"I see," Sonia responded, understanding that Harvey's explanation was merely a facade. After all, he had only just returned and was already able to make a quick trip to Blue Star.
But considering her position, she chose not to press the matter further. It did leave her feeling a bit down, however, that he could so easily make such trips while she had to manage the island.
"Some interesting things are happening on Blue Star, so I plan to go back and check it out again," he continued. "But once the good shows are over in a few years, I should be spending more time here."
Sonia's eyes lit up at the prospect, her previous disappointment melting away into a smile.
Just being able to see Lord Kassadin each day was something to celebrate. It meant she wouldn't have to make decisions all alone anymore and could consult with him on various matters.
"Of course," Harvey said, noticing her joy.
Nobody enjoys working non-stop. Even with Sonia's work ethic, she wouldn't mind a break now and then.
Harvey's intent to find another person to take over some of her responsibilities was to ensure she didn't have to be constantly busy, allowing her the freedom to step away from the island occasionally.
"Now, I'm going to check on the other members of the island," Sonia declared, looking at the time and realizing it was already 3:30 PM.
Seeing her motivation, Harvey nodded in acknowledgment.
Sonia set off for her routine inspection.
In the week that followed, Harvey noticed that Sonia was constantly smiling.
This enthusiasm made him question whether his promise to stay longer was ultimately a good or bad thing.
However, as the week passed, the construction of the records office was completed.
Its location was strategically placed along the main route between the harbor and the dining hall, about five kilometers from the dining area.
This distance, while significant for the average person, was trivial for someone like Sara, who could walk it in about ten minutes.
For members of the Void Church, this was hardly an issue at all.
As Harvey observed Sonia leaving, it was clear she intended to check on Sara and ensure everything was running smoothly.
Yet, he wasn't overly concerned. Just as he suspected, the arrival of Sara had uplifted the spirits of many male members on the island, especially once they learned she would be staying for at least a year.
They eagerly approached her to introduce themselves, and given Sara's genuine and warm demeanor, she easily struck up conversations with them.
By the end of the week, she had established solid relationships with many of the Void Church's male members.
On this particular day, Tony Stark and a few others had finally returned from Blue Star.
Tony had initially intended to return much sooner but had been tied up handling post-war matters, soothing public sentiment, and distributing compensation.
He also needed to ensure that Banner, Steve, and Peggy were settled, which delayed his return.
As the group disembarked from their spacecraft at the landing pad, Tony immediately suggested, "I'm treating everyone! Let's go grab a meal together."
Reno, Kyle, and the others had helped him significantly, and even though he had entertained them while on Blue Star, Tony felt he owed them more.
"Then we won't hold back," Reno replied, accepting the invitation without hesitation as they made their way toward the dining hall.
"The island has changed quite a bit, hasn't it?" Tony remarked, taking in the numerous new facilities he hadn't seen before.
"All thanks to Sonia-senpai. She frequently polls the members of the Void Church," Reno explained. "She seeks their opinions on which facilities or services they find most desirable, and in just over a year, the whole place has transformed into a bustling, advanced city. The number of chefs has also increased, meaning we can have new dishes every day of the year."
"If it weren't for you calling us over, we'd still be enjoying ourselves on the island," Kyle added, a smile of admiration on his face.
