"By the way, let's sign the contract."
"If you happen to leak what happened today, you'll have to bear the consequences."
Tony watched the three of them getting ready to leave, then swiftly moved to his underground laboratory. Moments later, he returned with two confidentiality agreements and two pens, along with red clay for Jane and Darcy to sign and fingerprint.
"Alright."
Jane understood that much of what she learned today was confidential, and since she had already agreed to this, she didn't hesitate to comply.
However, before signing, she took a moment to review the contract to avoid any hidden traps.
Darcy, on the other hand, received the contract, which explicitly prohibited them from discussing the events of the day outside. If Tony Stark discovered any rumors and traced them back to them, they would be at his mercy.
The penalties were severe, but as long as they didn't breach the contract, they'd be fine.
After scanning the document and finding no issues, Darcy signed her name and pressed her fingerprint.
She wasn't worried that Tony Stark had any ulterior motives concerning their bodies. After all, Tony was notorious for his charm, capable of attracting countless beautiful women whenever he pleased. If he wanted to pursue them, he could easily do so without such complicated measures—money could easily sway them.
Though they wouldn't readily sell themselves, everyone has a price when the stakes are high enough. Life is short, and if there's a shortcut that requires a minimal cost, most people would opt for it. Unfortunately, in Tony Stark's eyes, her body might not be worth much.
Thor watched everything unfold but refrained from offering advice. Given Tony Stark's fame on Earth, it was wise to be mindful of how things might affect his reputation, akin to his standing in Asgard.
"Have fun, you two," Tony said with a grin as he took the contracts back.
"You've been a great help to me; I don't have much to repay you with."
"I'll just take you both out for some fun."
"Any particular places you'd like to visit?"
Thor noticed Darcy and Jane's eager reactions and, seeing Jane was also intrigued, nodded without refusing. With his newfound powers, he could easily return to Asgard, even if Heimdall wasn't keen on receiving him.
More importantly, having regained the Hammer of Thunder's recognition, he saw it as both a punishment and a test from his father. Now that he had passed this trial, he wanted to repay Jane and Darcy for their assistance before heading back to Asgard.
"Yay! I'll just call a cab!" Darcy exclaimed, jumping up in excitement.
After seeing off Thor, Tony finally relaxed, taking off his armored suit to reveal his youthful, handsome face.
"Jarvis, quickly arrange for some late-night snacks, no matter the cost."
"Sir, I've already made arrangements for you and Ms. Potts," Jarvis replied.
"Good. At last, the hammer is back where it belongs."
"I'm starving," Tony lamented, flopping down onto the soft sofa like a weary fish.
He had spent the entire day anxious about whether his cover would be blown; thankfully, everything had gone smoothly.
"Has Thor left?"
Pepper emerged from the other room, eyeing Tony sprawled out on the couch.
"Yeah, I gave him some money," Tony said, flipping over to face her with a grin.
"Let him enjoy himself on Earth for a while, so he won't suddenly come and disturb us."
Tony had kept Pepper inside the room until he was sure it was safe, wary of Thor's potential suspicions about her exceptional abilities.
"Thanks for your hard work," Pepper said as she settled beside him, gently rubbing his belly with her delicate hand.
"It wasn't too taxing, mostly just hungry," Tony replied, pulling Pepper closer.
"Yeah, I understand."
"But Tony, if Thor isn't the alien invader…"
"Then that means Harvey was referring to another extraterrestrial threat?"
Pepper nestled against him, nodding slightly.
"Exactly, but there's no need to worry."
"I can handle it, and with Thor temporarily staying on Earth, I can always call on him if things get too tricky."
"Harvey probably anticipated that Thor would arrive on Earth sooner, so I wouldn't have to be concerned."
As Tony spoke, his eyes flickered with realization; every time he thought he understood Harvey's thoughts, he found it was merely the tip of the iceberg.
Just how much did Harvey know? It was impossible to tell.
Fortunately, someone as perceptive and powerful as Harvey wouldn't initiate any trouble on Earth.
"Harvey is impressive, predicting everything that's happened."
"If anything comes up, let's not worry about pride. Don't hesitate to seek help from Mr. Harvey."
Pepper's admiration was evident in her eyes as she processed Tony's words.
"Yeah, I understand."
Tony nodded in agreement, not taking offense.
