Chapter 46 - Chapter 46: Harvey’s Training

After gaining Kassadin's powers, Harvey opened the Void Walkers' ability interface. It displayed five key skills:

Void Stone: Reduces damage from magic attacks and allows him to phase through matter. This skill grows stronger over time as more Void energy is absorbed, but it cannot be manually upgraded.

Void Sphere (0 Evolutions): Harnesses Void energy to form a magical sphere. Upon hitting an enemy, it temporarily disrupts their magic flow for one second and grants Harvey a layer of Void Armor, which shields him from magical attacks.

Void Blade (0 Evolutions): Every attack Harvey makes siphons Void energy, reinforcing his physical strikes with magic, increasing the damage dealt. When activated, it charges the blade for an even more powerful magical attack.

Energy Pulse (0 Evolutions): Passively absorbs magic and Void energy from a 100-meter radius whenever Harvey casts spells or draws on Void power. Once enough energy is collected, he can unleash a devastating pulse whose strength and range depend on the amount of energy gathered.

Void Rift (0 Evolutions): When Harvey traverses the Void, he can choose to trigger an explosion of Void energy at his destination, causing widespread destruction.

These abilities, especially when combined with the Void powers he had previously taken from Kha'Zix, would make Harvey a force to be reckoned with against even the most powerful magic users.

Unlike the Void Stone, which evolves on its own, the other four skills could be upgraded. With 875,000 evolution points banked, Harvey was free to develop them further. He wasted no time in maxing out Void Rift, increasing it to level 50 for 490,000 points. A flood of new knowledge surged into his mind, revealing how space and Void energy interweave throughout the universe.

He wanted to push Void Rift to level 100 but quickly realized that he'd first need to bring his other abilities up to a certain level. So, Harvey invested in them too, upgrading each of the remaining three skills 10 times:

Void Sphere (10 Evolutions): Upon striking an enemy, the Void energy invades their body, disrupting their magic flow for three seconds. It also grants Harvey a protective Void Armor, warding off magic attacks.

Void Blade (10 Evolutions): Each of Harvey's attacks absorbs even more Void energy, enhancing their physical and magical destruction. When activated, the charged Void Blade's next magical strike becomes vastly more powerful.

Energy Pulse (10 Evolutions): Now absorbs Void energy from a radius of 1,100 meters, gathering more power for each spell cast or energy drawn. Once enough energy is collected, Harvey can release a pulse of immense destructive power.

Void Rift (50 Evolutions): Harvey can now peer into the fundamental structure of space itself, seeing how different planes are connected. When traversing the Void, he can still trigger massive explosions, but now with far greater precision and control.

Each of these skills would also be further enhanced when Harvey took on his full hero form, drawing directly on Kassadin's latent strength.

With these upgrades, Harvey grinned as he heard Kassadin's iconic words echo in his mind: "Your magic is useless against me."

This was a sign—he had successfully mastered a significant portion of the Void Walker's power.

Harvey closed his eyes, letting his newfound abilities extend his awareness. Almost immediately, his perception zoomed out beyond Earth, allowing him to see the stars scattered across the cosmos, each one glowing with a unique hue. He could sense vast distances, with the brightest star—representing Earth—nearby, while fainter ones indicated worlds much farther away.

Now equipped with the ability to traverse the universe, Harvey felt an exhilarating sense of freedom. But before he ventured into space, he knew he had to experiment with his new powers. The last thing he wanted was to miscalculate a teleport and accidentally end up in the sun.

For now, Harvey refocused his attention on Earth, zooming back in to observe New York. From high above, he saw the city's inhabitants moving around like tiny ants. Skyscrapers, mountains, and other landmarks were all visible, though the people themselves were too small to hear or distinguish individual words.

This ability to remotely observe was a huge relief—it meant that he could ensure he wouldn't randomly teleport into a dangerous or lethal situation.

Locking his sights on his mansion, Harvey activated his new powers, channeling Void energy. The Void cracked open, and he vanished into purple light, reappearing above the grounds of his estate. He floated in the air for a moment, carefully controlling his power to avoid accidentally damaging his home, before gently lowering himself to the ground.

Harvey smiled. He was growing more confident with every test.

Before taking his next step into space and spreading the Void's influence to distant worlds, Harvey knew he needed to perfect short-range teleportation. He needed to be able to blink instantly across a battlefield, seamlessly warping to any spot he could perceive in the heat of combat.

To master this, he teleported to an empty stretch of ocean, stepping into the deep waters. There, away from any distractions or potential collateral damage, Harvey began practicing instantaneous spatial warps.

His goal was simple: to master the Void Rift to the point where he could instantly teleport to any spot within his line of sight with flawless precision.

Once he could do that, he would become an even more formidable force, both in battle and in spreading the Void's will across the universe.
