"It's good to see you too, Bryce Weston. I can finally put a face to your voice after all this time," I said as the corners of my lips also curved upwards into a smile and he let out a low chuckle, running his hand through his dark hair. He was the private investigator I have been working with and it's finally the day where we meet. "I'm excited to hear more from you," I commented as I gestured for him to come take a seat after the door was closed behind him.
This time a small smirk was etched onto my lips.
I watched as he walked over, closing the distance between us in a few large strides before he pulled the chair out from under the table and plopped right down, getting comfortable.
His dark brown eyes were gleaming with a knowing look and a slight smirk tugged at the corners of his lips. He leaned over to unzip his briefcase and I watched with curious eyes as he pulled out a piece of plain envelope from inside and placed it onto the table between us.
